OK..So I just became a Lumi fan and was completely sideswiped by some comments made by ejami fans. Let me catch my breath..I ran for my life! Sami is the daughter of a police officer. Her uncle is a police officer and uncle abe is the police commisioner. How the **** do people think it's ok for her to be in love with a cop killer! If Sami is who I think she is cop killers are targets in law enforcement families. And it doesn't matter is Eve Michaels was crooked, she still bled blue. Lucas may be a momma's boy but at least he's no cop killer! I'll take the momma's boy any day.

Wow! Checking out the boards today I see a lot of people doing damage control over EJ's actions yesterday. Some are doing a complete 180 on their positions that EJ was right. Oh, well. You can call it jealousy or you can call it what it was, a temper tantrum because he wasn't getting any, but it just showed his core personality. It might not be so bad if we actually had some background on EJ but from all that I've seen, he's so not the man for Sami.

I love that Sheffer is moving things along. You really can't afford to miss a day anymore. With JER, you could tune out and watch again 3 months later and it would be the same day!

I'm looking forward to EJ this week. I can't wait to see the look on Lucas' face when he considers the possibility that he might have to call EJ daddy! LOL. You know, if as it's being proposed, EJ is after Kate for revenge on Lucas, what does that say about his character?

Got to go cover davening duty! I'll check in a little later.

I found this great post over at Soap Central about respect and posting. I've tried to live by it before I read it and I find myself being dragged down in the mud when posting by a certain group of posters. I saw this and it's really helped me refocus. Everyone should read it because it's great at dealing with the situation here.
Respect and Posting

There is no reason for discussions to become battle fields and people need to realize that disagreeing about a character is not a personal attack on your value system. The type of posting that can happen on this site is what gives fanbases a nasty reputation. In all the years I've been shipping, I've never encountered the personal rudeness I see with a certain group and I am not going to alter what I believe to get into it. That lets them win.

I've seen where some of you, and I tend to agree, feel that threads are posted to bate responses. The best advice I can give is not to feed the trolls.

Time for another duty but I'll be back!!!!

ITA... its sad that he is using her and only wants to get her in bed. All he wants to do is use her and alienate her away from her son. I mean what type of man would ever expect a woman to chose him over her own flesh and blood. Sami said it great herself,, "Being a good mother means everything in the world to me." Sorry for coming in here late, but I have been a Lumi fan from the beginning. EJ is just a roadblock right now for Lumi to get back together where they belong and they will really soon.

From a recent chat with the Da Man himself, he can't wait to get back to Lumiland and I am right behind him along with everyone else here who is a Lumi fan from Day one. We may not all like what Lucas has done to Sami these past years but he is human and will make mistakes like everyone else.

I will give Lucas the benefit of the doubt and I will continue to stand by him. We all know the road to love is never an easy one and that has been shown for the last 13 years under the realm of JER and other writers.

Now that we have Hogan in charge, we will be right back where Days is known for many years and that is a family oriented serial. I can't wait for Hogan to reunite the couples that were meant to be together.

I know that one certain group of people are trying to rile us Lumi fans but I am not about to set foot in their trap as that is baiting us into a fanbase war.

If they feel strongly for their couple, then we are stronger than they will ever be as we have seen these two grow from being teenagers to adults. Everyone has their ups and downs. No matter what the situation is, they do.

What I don't understand is that people are fighting over fictious characters? We are all entitled to our favorites and I don't see the need to bait other fanbases to fight over something they believe in. Anyways, I am glad that we are finally going to get what we want and it couldn't happen at a better time.

I like to see us LUMI remain calm and get along. Its hard not to give into bait, but we all should try extra hard. After this is just a show about fake people. We shouldnt be fighting over it. Im not sure If I missed something, butt we all should try and be cool and be friends... ESPECIALLY us LUMI'S .. We have to stand by the Lumi Code LOL. biggrin.gif

Well add me to your list. I loved EJ and Sami to start with but I have now seen the light. Lucus finally listening to someone , who know so little about love and yet know so much . Glad to have you back into the land of Lumi. I know what you mean about EJ making Sami choose over her son. No man should make anyone choose your flesh and blood over you.

Anyways, I am happy that you amongst us. I liked EJ at the beginning too and for some reason, I knew that there was more to him than meets the eye. Just the way he knew everything about Sami. Like how she took her tea or some other drink, I can't remember. I just knew from then on, that he had an agenda and now we know why.

Lucas may not like what Sami has done in the past or more recently but he does love her. The way he talks to her when he is hurt shows you that he really cares. He never showed that much emotion when he was with Carrie.

I am for one gonna cheer Lumi on through their good and bad times.

Glad to be back. Yea I know what you mean about some of the things that happen last summer. He just knew to much. I am still waiting to see why Carrie acted like she knew him but couldn't place him. I hope this comes out.

Hi all,
You all are so right about not allowing ourselves to be baited. I keep finding myself sucked, sucked, sucked into these arguments, and it is so childish and unlike my real life personality. I too just want to spread the lumi love, maybe I will stick to this thread only. Supersami, thanks for the link it's something good to read for when my blood starts to boil!
