I usually listen to Delilah at night, a couple of years ago she started it the day after halloween, for pete's sake!!

I e-mailed her last year and asked her please don't start it so early.. She, they listened and they waited until the beginning of November, it is just as bad!!!
OMG, Delilah! I haven't listened to her in years. The only time I really listen to the radio is the morning, afternoon and weekends.
I know this is going to sound heartless but I detest that "Christmas Shoes" song. To me, Christmas music is supposed to be happy and uplifting not sad and depressing! And that has to be the MOST depressing song I've ever heard.

I was just saying that it was my experience. Some people, not you, say that it's all EJami's. It was meant more as general statement, it wasn't aimed at you.

I went back and edited my origial post so that the statement is seperated from the part of the post I wrote to you. I hope it's ok, I don't want you to be mad at me.

Is that the one about the little boy wanting to buy his dying mother some shoes???

If it is your right it is a sad and depressing song.. what ever happened to "IT'S A HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS, IT'S THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR"! Then there is TBS that runs that stupid shoes for three days straight, about the boy wanting the bb gun...

I know they do seem to be played earlier &
earlier every year.
Once I hear one it is stuck in my head all day long.
It's all those songs and movies that sometimes
make us feel bad about our own get togethers.
We all think thanksgiving & X-mas dinner has to be the way
it is in the movies and the commercials, then we kinda
feel let down when it is not. I love X-mas for
th religious aspect and going to church and the kids
plays, but sometimes we all try to overdo our
gettogethers and it never seems to be the way we want it.omo
I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but sometimes
thats what I think.
Anyway how are you all doing today?lol

Now, you see I like "A Christmas Story" but I do agree with you, running it for 24 hours is a bit much. I'm such a kid at heart because I love to watch all the Christmas shows. Makes me feel young. Not that I'm old, but.... well, you know that I mean.

Almost my entire neighborhood was putting

Thanksgiving to me is nothing but a man's day!! I swear to the higher up fella.. It used to be the woman cook, clean, do dishes, clean, do dishes it is a never ending day.. While the MEN are watching football, working on their cars, whatever... Our thanks then is, where is the pie honey... ARG!!! FOOD, FOOD, FOOD and more food.. One year it was just me and my youngest daughter we decided on Pizza, me (beer) soda for Jasmine.. The last couple of years my s/o and I have had tri-tip, this year it is a small turkey and shrimp.. I am just not a turkey person...
Xmas, is for the kids... I love to see the light in their eyes, when they open a present... They instantly want to play with it, I love it when they want to play in the boxes.. I will miss that this year as my grandaughters are in Washington state.. My youngest is in Oregon, it will be me and my s/o.. We will probably go over to his moms house, and my sisters for gift exchange.. We already have xmas presents, my ex-in-laws (first husband) brought us xmas presents yesterday.. They are going on a cruise to the caribean, lucky people...

On a side note, there are 2 stations playing Christmas music already! ..sheez... it's not even Thanksgiving yet. I guess I should just be glad they waiting until after Halloween!

I miss Jami too. Jack and Sami had such a good friendship. I would have loved to see some interaction between Lumi and J&J. Lucas and Jen are brother/sister, Jack and Sami are friends. Jen once made a comment that Sami scared her.
