I like the character of EJ Wells (aka Elvis Dimera) I love the villians on the show! Stefano, Vivian, Kristen, and Victor are all some of my all time favorite characters on the show. I love how they cause all kind of trouble in Salem. But the thought of EJ doing something sooo horendous as rape (or should I say sexually assult) Sami- it does make me sick! And it makes me even more sick how some ppl are trying to condone it- I have read it over and over. IF EJ could ever be redemed afer this (like EJamers are pointing out about Jack) then it would take years and years to do that. Sami does not love EJerk. EJerk does not love Sami.

I believe they really are making EJ the real villain here and I don't think he will be redeemed. But do we really know for sure? I don't think so. The only way to really redeem him would be to tell us he'd been controlled by Stefano or something like that.

I agree- I don't think he will be redeemed either. But many ppl keep saying that... I think your right, the only way would be if Sefano was controlling him. I don't think that is the case tho. EJerk is evil- plain and simple...

This is exactly how I feel.. I like to hate the villans, its fun.. and EJ is a great bad guy, but making him a rapist will make it impossible for me to continue to like him... although, I do agree with Cindy77's post laying out the reasons why the s/l would work... I don't know, any rape played out on tv or in the movies just turns my stomach... I never liked that Jack was redeemd (even though his situation was completely different) I never liked that Luke on GH was redeemed... I don't think rape is redeemable .. period.... ppl still want Chelsea in jail for the rest of her life for "accidentaly" running over Zach ... but some of these same people "hope" that EJ can be redeemed so he and Sami can still be together? I mean, really.. are you serious??? I don't get it. unsure.gif

i think that the latest spoilers actually came out of a canadian tv guide. i think it's going to happen and some will continue to defend ej or try to find some way he should be with sami. as much as i like any couple having the guy rape the girl would end it right there for me. ej is not being written as sami's love or here hero at all. today he was doing everything he could to mess up lucas & sami's relationship. he's their obstacle, he's to them what stefano has always been to Jarlena. he is not a viable choice in a triangle, he's a villian trying to keep two people who are truly in love apart.

My whole issue with EJ and why I don't want EJ with Sami is what he has done to her NOW and what a threat he is to her and her family. Everyone keeps bringing up Lucas' past, but he has grown from that and learned from it. Not only that, he finally realizes what a mistake it was to listen to his mom when it concerns Sami. What REALLY bothers me about EJ and his "love" for Sami is that if he truly loved her, if he truly cared for her he would have told her who he was when he first started having feelings for her, but he kept his identity a secret to get closer to her because he knew or was told that if Sami knew who he really was that he might not get a chance to undermine her and her family. And if he truly cared for her he would see how much she loves Lucas and step aside. What is that famous adage? "If you love them let them go if..." Lame, I know, but it happens. Look at Lumi!

I agree with your post, BooPea! I don't read or respond to most of the posts villifying Lucas for things he did years ago - things Sami has already forgiven him for - because it all seems so pointless to me. If some people want to choose to ignore that both characters have moved past the anger and are trying to recover from those warring years then they can do that. Imo, nothing Lucas says or does will ever be enough because some people have chosen to hate him no matter what.

In the end though, it doesn't really matter. Sami's forgiven him, loves him, and wants to spend the rest of her life with him. smile.gif Hogan loves Lumi and wants them to spend the rest of their lives together. smile.gif Corday wants a new, younger power couple and Lucas and Sami are it. smile.gif And if the spoilers are any indication - sad.gif - there will be plenty of opportunity for Lucas to redeem himself in the eyes of any doubters (who are actually willing to see him for who he really is and aren't deathly committed to hating him no matter what). Sami's going to need him in a BIG way very soon...and he'll be there for her. smile.gif

ICAM great post! i still haven't seen a shred of evidence that Ej is anything but obsessed with Sami. his interactions with her are & cold & stiff, contrasted with the man who really loves her Lucas, who is very emotional & loving with her.

I agree. This upsets me too. Not just because I think it's awful that this happens to Sami again, but also because I feel that HS could've done something different with EJ. He didn't have to do this. Having EJ do that to Sami makes him look like the worst scum on earth and I must say I'm a little surprised by this. He could've been a very good villain and possibly an interesting character too. We'll have to see what happens, because I'm still finding it a little hard to believe.

UGH its sickning isnt it. Its going to be very hard for me to watch Sami get sexually assaulted again. The thought just makes me ill.

since there is already a Canadian tv guide spoiler with the actual date it airs ( in Canada) it sounds like the die has already been cast. i hate it too but with it will only bring Lumi closer.

sexual assault under duress (witholding help to save Lucas) is rape, plain & simple, no matter how hard anyone tries to spin it. if we can find any good in it at all, a silver lining,, it does slam the nail in the Ejami coffin and will continue to propel Lumi to supercouple status.

I agree. Rape is rape, plain and simple. I don't care how much a woman teases or implies something, if she says no and the man doesn't stop then it's rape. No means NO!

A member of 2C reminded my of a something Lucas said to Sami years ago after Alan raped her and it still fits: "I don't give a d a m n if you danced naked on the dining room table, No means No!"

that's awesome!! and completely true! why am i not suprised that Lucas ( aka Prince Charming tongue.gif ) said that,lol. seriously since the writers have decided to go there with this then use it to hammer away at the fact that no means no and rape is NEVER the fault of the victim. it can't be said enough.

I hope that hammer also drives a nail right into the Ejami (pairing, not fans) coffin and then Lucas can throw some paint over it, as he promised to do! wink.gif biggrin.gif
