Tomarrow is the day that I will see the show live and I am so happy. If they clip to the audience look for the girl with the tan puffy hat and the blue scarf. That is me. We are flying out to New York at 6:00 in the morning and I am not going to get in line any later then 1:00 because I am gonna get a good seat.
FornicationAlert
1:00? I thought the earliest for best seats was 2:00. I'm going Wednesday the 20th. So do you choose your actual seat, like if you were going to a movie theatre, or do you have to sit according to where you were originally standing in line? I hope I get the first seat on the monologue side near the center aisle. That way I can be kind of equal distance from both sides of the show.

First of all, HS, I LOVE your signature! Go Social Distortion babay!!

Hey, you can get to NBC at freaking 8 in the morning and just wait for nothing, but people usually show up for Conan before 3:00. I arrived at 1:45 and I got front row left-center seats. It does go by where your standing online. First come, first (or best!) serve. HS, the first time I went to the show in October 2004, I was the 27th (my lucky number whoo hoo!) online, and I got the first row on the monologue side, closer to the isle, so if you want similar seats, be about the 20th something person online!

Oooh congrats! I'll look for you in the audience. Don't forget to wear your pink garter belt, stockings, heels, and all that fun stuff. I think Conan could use a tad more kink in his life. laugh.gif

And 1 month after going to see Conan, I'm going to be seeing Social Distortion 3 nights in a row. This will be the best fall EVER.

Let us know if there was more to that mouse bit, will you? It just sort of ended without Conan saying "we'll be right back" or a bumper, so I'm thinking NBC edited it.
FornicationAlert
Haha. The best part of that mouse bit was when Pender screamed like a little girl.

what if lng shows up wearing lovely scrubs next time you go. can't get more kinky than that.

haha. Actually there's nothing kinkier than Halloweeen nurse costumes.

lol. I'm sorry, me, if that's an oppressive image, but I actually find it sexy and kind of funny.....

I'm glad my uniform doesn't look like that either. Sex would be on everyone's mind more than it already is, especially on the OB floors. laugh.gif And it would be very bad to put the fellow rescuers into v-tach. huh.gif

So sissarui - how was the show?!

I just got all of your messages right now and I am back home in Michigan. What I couldn't get over was how mechanical every thing was. I think Conan had something else on his mind because he didn't mention the audience once in the monolouge or play with us at all he must have had something to go to because what I saw was a man at work. At some point I felt like I was watching a caged animal. I did enjoy Max forgetting to play at the end and the sound in the audience is incredible. It was a different side to see, that even COnan has mudane moments.

Really? That's really surprising. Maybe he was stressing over something. How was he during the warmup? Did he come out before the show?
latenightgoddess
It's a very professionally-done show, no matter what Conan says about not being professional. It's a well-oiled machine, etc. But that's too bad he didn't "play" with the audience. He played with us a little when I went.

He came out growled at some girls, and hugged a man then made two men hug each other then Max gave a guy some drum stix. THat was all though. Also the guy who yelled at the set up for Bush not invading North Korea was my brother. I guess asking a Nuclear Engineer who is geting his masters at Berkly not to yell at avoiding Nuclear HOlocaust is like asking the Pope not to pray after avoiding a Nuclear Holocaust.

gosh, i'm really sorry to hear that. but, conan is human. we all have bad days and can't be on top of the world 24/7. you never know, maybe one of his kids had a doc appointment that he was thinking about or he needed to be there for the kids when they got home. as much as we all love conan, it's understandable that everyone may experience burn out from their job from time to time and this is his job. anyway, i'm rambling now, but i do understand that you go to see the show expecting one thing and then showing up and getting something different. that's a lot of pressure for conan to try and make everyone laugh/smile EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.

Word. cool.gif Like I said it was really interesting see the man treat this as a job, and I totally understand where he is coing from.
