This is what I have been looking for.I thnk the law and order franchise is mixing things up this year with all three shows.I think the audience is happy and not sure of criminal intent changes.I mss dekins andcaver but vincent was incrediable in the season opener.He gave us a look of what goren will go through and what he has learned over the years.I for one will enjoy this season though if goren is going to hang his badge up I will be sad. gino

Gino, Amen! You are so correct about the mix ups going on, especially with my beloved LO CI!!! Unfortunately last season we knew Deakins was leaving to retire, but I hoped something would reel him back in as Capt. again! I can not relate to or even remotely like his replacement. He simply does not fit in nor does he add anything new or exciting to this excellent show! I also can not tell you how disappointed I was to tune in and see that Carver was just gone and without any explaination whatsoever! He was perfect as ADA and if he is permanently off the show ,I think the cast should throw in a mention that he has been promoted to a Judge and how they miss his precise skills as ADA. He deserves something! I admit as messed up as these changes are (not to mention where is Annabella?) I will ALWAYS tune in to see Vincent in action as Goren. Vincent is an amazing actor and I have been watching his previous work in movies lately and all I can say is, *Why hasn't he been nominated 1 single time for an Emmy?* His portrayl as Goren is beyond reach and if he ever hung up his badge or left the show, Chris Noth & Kathryn Erbe as wonderful as they are, could never fill the void the show would have without Detective Goren!!! This show started off all about Goren and Eames and was fine as it was. Since I watched Noth way back in the day when he was Detective Logan on LO, I was worried they might make Noth the big star instead! However, they managed to balance out both detective teams.....Although I feel Vincent deserves all the screen time he can possibly get! Can you tell how much of a fan I am of his? However I am not biased because of him. I tuned in the first season not knowing him at all as an actor. The more I watch him, the more I try to find compellingly acted parts he played in movies being played all over cable & movie stations. I sure hope this season makes more changes for the better this time. It finally has one of the best time slots and yet people new to the show have to watch this new choppy mess/cast fumble. Again, it is Goren and his devotion to his witty partner Eames as well as Logan, that try to hold this messy season together. I may hate some of the changes, but I just have to tune in and watch my favorite characters in action.

YES, let's do talk about noodle head, I'm sorry--I meant to say the new Captain. Not only is he a VERY weak replacement for Jamey Sheridan/Deakins, but I have to say he needs to cut his hair badly as it is just another distraction of how odd of a casting choice he was. Sorry to sound harsh, but Deakins meshed so very well with his Detectives and most importantly respected all of Det. Goren's insight and gifts.

It is also nice to see so many pictures of Vincent D'Onofrio! He beats out Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck or US magazines latest cover as 'SEXY", Patrick Dempsey. The real Mc Dreamy is Vincent!

Vincent's one of the best looking (code word for sexy) guys around at the moment I think.

I also agree about the moderation, there's a lot of threads about the same thing. Could some of hem either be merged or deleted. I personally don't like reading the same thing in different threads.

I don't think they explained why Noth's partner left. This new girl is named Detective Wheeler and she is played by the actress who was recently seen on Conviction. Welcome to the boards!

NBCSkampy, would you be so kind as to re-vise the topic name of Logan-Wheeler Episode #2 to Maltese Cross? It replayed a few nights ago & I posted a comment, but I'm wondering if people don't know that #2 is Maltese Cross? Or else, no one wants to discuss Logan/Wheeler right now.

Hi i was just amazed at the comments on the message board we are a few seasons behind in australia we still have carver and deakins but i cant believe they are even contemplating getting rid of bobby and eames they are what makes the show different to L & O and SVU both of which iwatch as well.Det Goren is such a sweetheart but its his querky character that makes CI so enjoyable to watchand VDO has certainly brought his character to life if the ratings are slipping maybe the writers should look at the scripts a bit more closely Goren is highly intelligent, left handed(uses more of right side of the brain) history with army intelligence give him and eames some master criminal minds they can get their teeth into.I was surprised how many scrutininzed VDO from health issues to hair styles and that his children were mentioned being a mother of two with similar ages I feel that subject should be off limits - physical appearence well unfortunatly being a celeb -open season but guys do you really think losing bobby in any shape or form is going to be good for the show - idoubt it sorry he is just to hunky to lose.

Hi, margi the ozzie! No, it doesn't rhyme, but I tried... Your name, however, has reminded me of the end of one of my favorite Dr. Katz episodes, "Thanksgiving", which happens to be one of my current Boston area On Demand cable selections. Dr. Katz signing 'Go be Roz in Oz' (the movie version, mind you) a tribute to his now gone home, self-medicating ex-wife who was voiced in the episode by the lovingly emotionally scarred Carrie Fisher. Is the connection ghey? Yes. But is it there in my head anyway? You betcha. You see, it sticks in my head as that this was the song before Dr. Katz and Ben -his son, you see- went into a rendition of his original composition of the boppy "Gratitude" in the middle of which was a soulful rendition of a verse or two from "Go Down Moses (Let My People Go)", jumping unceremoniously back into the boppy original composition complete with the addition of vocal kazooing of stereotypical circus clown music.

Why am I telling you all of this? Well, because it was just pretty d'mn funny...and to just say 'Hi, margi!"

I have always love the LAW AND ORDER shows for the very begining form the days of Paul Robbinette and ada Stone and Det Mike Logans (chris noth) first partner Max Greevey ! SO I have been watching for many years this show I have seen characters come and go ! I think it would be a neat special to have all three law and order shows doing a cross over episode ,they used to do it with Homicide:life on the Streets where that is where Richard Belzers character (John Munch)came from good ole Balitmore! And what happened to Adam Schiff ,did his character die! There are so many characters that have been crossed over between the three shows ,even there physc docs have ! (Emil Skoda, Olivet ,and Waung ) it would be an awsome episode to have all these elements in one awsome evening a good 2 hr or 3 hour episode, so maybe the powers at be will make this come true ,maybe not for this season but possible for next! And when it comes to Eames and Goren well I think goren is in Love with Eames ,but that is just one persons opinion! I just love that character of Goren he is so intense and so focused and very intelligent ! As long as there are fans like us on this BLOG these shows will go on for quite some time! I know I will never stop watching! And the other Law and Order :Trial by Jury well had we not lost Jerry Orbache that show night have taken off as well , Jerry Orbache (Lenny Brisco) will be missed , and for also for his role as the voice of the candle stick Lamuer(sp) in Disney's Beauty and the beast!!!!!!!!! Well I have rambled enough about so many things ,let close by saying all Law and Orders' are all greatly written and greatly casted , the shows are worth watching over and over again !!!! Hi guys a reply to "Boomer 1970 " what a great idea its a shame they did not think of anything like that - they could have used maybe 9/11 being such a huge tragedy every department would be involved or effected in some way I mean it shook the world I was working as a paramedic at the time and it really hit home hard - and they could have used all the chararcters on/off duty , the pysch's - D.A,s office - who knows maybe nbc might take the hint -great idea of yours anyway. see ya

Had to watch the episode again that night after posting! Aaaah - gotta love random harkenings back to the enjoyment of good comedy... Makes life worth living

Actually, they were planning to do exactly that. CI premiered in Sept 2001, and in Oct they were supposed to start filming a crossover with the other brands to help introduce the "newbie", CI. But then 9/11 happened right before CI was set to debut, so they scrapped the script.

Hi everyone, even though they scrapped the original script they could still do a two part episode - pysch evaluations - which are usually updated - then and now Goren's pysch evaluation certainly would be interesting - they could do a then and now where was everyone what was Olivia and Elliott doing at the time ect it could be quite a powerful episode!! take a real look at how the people /characters cope with such an event and still have to keep it together to get the job done, maybe they could salvage some of the scrapped script - who knows -might be worth exploring.

Hi, I'm new to this board, but have watched L&O of all kinds for years. I was motivated to jump through the hoops by the new female detective paired with Logan. I REALLY LIKED the previous gal, she was smart and sexy without sounding snobbish. I was ready to give the new one a chance until they laid out some very heavy hints that she's a lesbian. L&O's basic scripting has left out most of the private lives of the detectives and I really don't think that bringing lesbianism to the fore will enhance the show in any way. Those issues are dealt with quite adequately in individual shows.

Hello everyone. It's so nice to have a place to go to discuss CI.

CI has changed so much this season that I'm unable to form an opinion of it yet. I'm not sure if I like the direction Goren is going and I'm unable to click with the new captain. I also hate the lack of continuity between the Goren/Eames shows and Logan/Wheeler show. It's like watching 2 different shows and with the addition of Wheeler, I choose to watch only the "A" team. I'll have to wait til season's end to see how it all plays out.

New here (aka a newb *whispers*) From NEW YORK *brags in a nonarrogant way* ) Go to school in New Jersey (Rutgers University WOOOOOO!!! ) I'm a 19 1/2 year old sophomore (20 in March) and yeah, I've been watching the entire franchise since last year I celebrated my "anniversary" with VDO (when I first started crushing) on Thanksgiving S'been a year! Don't worry I'm not weird and obsessed, lol...I'm an English major, Theatre Arts minor, and I have a 5 page paper to write, lol..so goodnight

Hi Row and the other guys I've had some talks with. Row asked me to stop here and say Hi, so I'm sayin'... HI! I live in Fla, 38, M, and am a General Manager in a boutique hotel and a Progressive House DJ. Coming here is more than I've ever been involved with a show, but I don't need to tell you guys! The people here know their s**t! I must admit, and I'm sure there are others who had the same experience, but I was always a SVU fan, I mean, come on, Mariska is da bomb if you love exotic women...(lol)! Anyway, I caught CI one or two times while having Sunday dinner at my Mom's house, and the first couple of times I saw it, I was like, "what the heck, way does this guy know all this stuff, no way, no one could know that!". Anyway, I got a real bad flu last spring, watched every SVU, and was left to watch CI. After a one-day USA marathon, I was hooked, just like everyone else here! I always love it when I think of Bobby and Eames talking in the hallway after the Judge was aquitted of murder, when Bobby says to Eames, "You're right, I AM an aquired taste". That sums up this show for me. I look forward to talking with all of you some more!

Hello everyone of you Goren & Eames fans....I am totally new here and this is the most involved I have ever gotten into a show, charcter or actor. That is of course since I was wayyyy younger and Johnny Depp was plastered all over my room. I am just so happy to meet all of you and know that you are out there so now my husband can't think that I am crazy or alone. We have a baby that is ten months old that since Aug. I have been home with, well since we made the decision for me to stay home and lost my income we also had to make financial decisions which ment we are down to basic cable which means no more Bravo(real fans know what this means and how sad that is). But I am not upset with the baby by any means b/c I really just started watching in 2004 with that season, bedrest when I was pregnant got me caught up so thank to him I have seen alot more. So now I am looking into opening a home day care to get some income back and get my Bravo back, USA is nice and all but they air alot of the same episodes.
Between USA and Bravo I got a good mixture. But right now I will take what I can get.

I have wanted to log in to give my opinion of this show.

I think that the two detectives should get new jobs. It is utterly impossible for the police to get the bad guy each and every time. The way Gore tilts his head to the side gets on my nerve. He thinks that he is the stuff. Well I would like to see him come to my city and solve all of crimes that occurr here.

Go in the ghetto and see if you can solve the crimes there and yell at people the way he does on the show. The writers need to come up with some realistic.

I wonder if anyone else out there feels the way I do.

Let me know.

Ummm....hello they are characters in a TV show and they are in the major case squad. Further more there are always refrences to "kicking" a case back to another dept. or precinct because of work load. The show is about the crimes they solve.

Hi everybody. I've been here awhile, but have never really introduced myself. I'm from Schenectady NY, originaly from LI NY. I just love reading these message boards. So many of you are so intelligent, it scares me. I feel as if I have so much to learn.
I have to agree with many of you on this board. I will hate to see LOCI go. I love the G/E episodes and I am getting used to Logan. I do miss Barrek. I felt she was all right. The verdict is still out on Wheeler. Still not warming up to Captain Ross.
I hope at some point to contribute to some of these threads in the future, but as I said before, alot of you scare me with your intelligence.
Last thing, yes I am a true blue Mets fan
