Hi I love watching SVU
I have purchased some of the seasons on dvd I have the premier, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th season. I cant seem to find the 4th season can anyone tell me where to find this. I would really love to add this to my collection. I cant wait until the 25 for the new season to start.

I figured I'd pop in here and introduce myself as well. I'm Mel aka OliviaBensonRocks. I'm from Calgary, Alberta Canada. I'm 22. I've been a fan since the very beginning. I used to watch the original L&O but stopped after Jerry died. It just wasn't right after he was gone. I absolutely adore Mariska. Both on and off SVU. My husband recently got into the SVU thing with me and back in May we started watching every episode in order, starting with season 1. It's great watching them and seeing how the characters progress and how their friendships change.

Greetings! Just thought I would pop in and say hello! I'm a loyal fan of this show and think the entire production staff is superb. I havent seen one bad episode yet. Really, this is one of the few shows I block out time to watch.

I think Elliot is the kind of person who would scare the h-e-double billy clubs outa me if I was a perp. On the other hand, if he was my brother or friend, I would be SOOOOO happy to know I had someone this strong in my corner.

Always liked Olivia. Always liked Cragen and the those two nuts, Finn and Munch. Love Tamara Tunie and you just cant, cant, cant EVER get a bad performance out of BD Wong. Ever.

It's a pleasure to know the production staff reads these blogs.

Greetings All-

Just curious how many of us are actual survivors of Rape or Childhood Sex Abuse (CSA) and watch the show. Why do you watch? What does it do for you? Are you ever triggered by it?

As for my answers...two reasons why I watch. 1)I have a wicked crush on MH. and 2) More importantly - hero worship. I never got justice for the crimes done to me and I never will. I LOVE watching the perps get caught.

I realized that SVU has opened so many eyes and minds. Look at the media lately. The child abuse cases are everywhere and at first it depressed me. Then I realized, my goddess they are actually taking these things seriously. They really are catching these people and labeling them for the creeps they are. How far we have come in 20 years when CSA was not something one ever admitted willingly.

And yeah, I get triggered sometimes. Only once really bad in the episode "Prodigy". I so cannot deal with animal abuse at it was a large part of my own history. Funny how hurting animals hits me so much harder than hurting people.

i agree about the whole breast cancer thing...but last week i was doing a speech over L&O so i was researching about mariska hargritay and i found out she has a charity called swimming with dolphins and its for children who have been sexually assalted get to go swim with dolphins i think she is awesome!!!

I have watched it since day one but anyways....I'm a hugeee Elliot/Olivia shipper and i was just wondering if anyone else thought it might happen soon...i know the beginning of this season hasnt been to good but tuesdays episode wasnt to bad..sorry side tracked...after last season with her leaving and coming back the way he missed her and the way she would hang up when he would get on...and when she got knocked out and was saying "Elliot....Elliot" i thought it was gonna happen but this season they like seperated theyre rarely with eachother....it worries me lol.

I'm a huge, huge fan of SVU.

My other fave programmes are Heroes, The Apprentice (UK as well US), all of the other L & O's.

I just wanted to say after watching tonight's episode how can anyone think that Olivia should not be dismissed from the show? Taking a killer off the streets and then to forced to choose between prison and death by the very people that would sign a death sentence themselves? We all know that in reality we would breath a sigh of relief if we found that a serial killer had been put down. People do it to good animals every day in the name of their respective city kennel's and we live with it. Totally disappointed in with tonight's show. All it did was give the serial killer's of America hope.

I just watched SVU, I just love Olivia and Elliot, missed Elliot tonight, but anyways, on tonights episode, Liv and the FBI agent were looking for a serial killer and so on. When the FBI agent blew her brains out, Livia's face was priceless. I cried with her. It scared me too. I knew thats probably what the agent was going to do, but seeing Livia's face, WOW! What a great and beautiful actress!

I've never posted here before, but I just had to respond to this.

I don't think the intent was to give serial killer's in America (or anywhere, for that matter) hope. IMO, the entire point of the show was that Agent Cooper had crossed that line between that of those who enforce the law and those who serial killers; as was clearly indicated in Agent Cooper's last line before she commits suicide.

Olivia's first response was that Agent Cooper should not be punished for her actions; which was clear when she made reference to Mary Winkler killing her husband while he slept and receiving only 67 days. Yet later Olivia came to realize to what extent Cooper had went to in order to commit the crime.

Benson is one of the best characters on that show. To dismiss her would be the death of SVU as we all know and love.

Clelton! I don't understand how tonights episode gives license to serial killer's? As far as Mariska leaving the show, it would not be the same at all! Explain, please.

I sure agree with you Dee, thats what the show was about. She wasn't condoning what she did, but she as a cop, understood. And to me, if a serial killer knew that somebody can gun them down after being tracked {they always get caught, eventually}, well, I was going to say, maybe they'd change their minds before going on their rampage, but I doubt it.

Hey, I love SVU but I thought the actress who played FBI Agebt Cooper was just awful. I missed the first few minutes of tonight's episode and have a question. Did the last victim see Agent Cooper kill the serial killer? Because she seemd to be scared of her and trying to indicate that to Olivia with her eye movements. what does anyone else think? Did you notice this too?

I disagree with you. I think the show was trying to point out that the authorities shouldn't take justice into their own hands. Yeah, the serial killer was a scumbag but procedures should still be followed and he should have gone thru the judicial process, not been killed by an FBI agent who hated what he had done. I liked what Cragen said about taking the serial killer alive giving the victim's families a better chance for closure.

Having said that though, we all know that the SVU detectives take matters into their own hands all the time, not to mention Casey and Jack McCoy on the original L&O.

i completely agree, but unlike you i didnt expect her to have a 2nd gun! the screem, it freaked me out. great ending plot wise but i thought the episode had a different 'feel' to it. did anyone else notice this? for example the shots were put together differently to the usual flow of the show. they chopped between different views and the sceene where the fbi agent pleeded not guilty was uncharacteristically short without any legal jargan, perhaps im just overanalysing or the presence of another agent altered the ambience of the show? would like to hear others thoughts on this.

I usually don't introduce myself, I just start posting so I just disapper into the crowd, so um, I'm not sure exactly how to do this. Um. I've been a fan of SVU for about 5 months and I only have 9 episodes left to see before I'm completely caught up. My favorite character is Olivia. I miss Munch and Alex and I wish Lake was gone. I'm an E/O shipper, but I prefer non-shipper discussions for the most part.

I have to say I love SVU. I think its because there is so much emotion, tension, and drama with the characters as well as the story line. I really want Olivia and Elliot to hook up. They have some really good chemistry even off set. And also I wish we were able to like e-mail the actors/actresses in this show. As well as the writers to tell them our opinions and what we want on the show, etc. I LOVE SVU
