I REALLY LIKE THE SHOW, BUT IS THE WHOLE SHOW GOING TO BE BASED OFF THAT ONE KIDNAPPING OR WILL THERE BE DIFFERENT ONES HE TRIES AND FINDS.

I think it is going to be all about this family and Leopold mainly. What I have read and seen about it so far. A whole season of what it takes to get him back. I know previews for next week show the older daughter and something happening with her, too.
auntevie03
did anyone notice what was printed on the window behind the bad guy when he was interviewing the other bad guy?

I love this show!!! Tivo'd it and watched the pilot last night. I have a feeling that the kidnapping is a diversion from something bigger. We shall see.......

First off I want to say that I heard a rumor today on the radio that NBC is already pulling the plug on the new show KIDNAPPED!? Has anyone else heard this? It has only been on one week, that isn't a fair amount of time to pull a new show is it? I love this show and can't wait to see the next episode...It kept me on the edge of my seat and felt like a dramatic movie....

It's only been a week, and even if they do decide to take Kidnapped off air I know we have atleast one full season and I think 13 episode contingency plan, so, I think there will be a ending and not just gone like most shows they cut.

I swear they better not pull the plug! What losers (if they pull out of course). I mean geez back your show - they aren't even playing previews regularly - they just give up immediately??!! Good lord, back your decisions and push a show - don't just fold - show some courage.

I love this show - I'll swear off NBC forever if they pull the plug.

My husband works on the set of Kidnapped and today they learned that it officially has been canceled. Come on guys, give this show a chance! It has only been out 2 weeks and already they are shutting it down. Maybe if they didn't put it up against the wife of the Crocodile Hunter, we might have seen some action. Even Jay Leno commented on the show last night, saying how great it was. What is up?

I am sooo frustrated with the cancellation of tonight's two episode repeat. Kidnapped has the suspense and intrigue of 24. The writing is excellent as is the acting. Please tell me the two original episodes will repeat on another channel before Wednesday's scheduled third episode.

Sorry Bridget, I could only find one that will be airing on Wed. Oct 4th at a 11pm on USA. And that is the Second one only "Special Delivery" .

I am so upset and angry that Kidnapped may be cancelled. But thankfully I am at least soooo glad that they are planning on finishing the story.

However.....I am afraid that by condensing Kidnapped down to 13 episodes, the very essence of the show will be damaged. To me, the draw of Kidnapped was the subtle clues and twists and turns and that by simplifying it, much will be lost. Furthurmore, I can only wonder if nbc had put muscle/money behind this show and advertised and scheduled it properly, where it would actually stand in the ratings today. Sadly, nbc clearly places more value in useless, boring shows such as Biggest Loser. I can not believe that Biggest Loser will be able to go another season after this. (How much of that show can people actually take??) Yet, if Kidnapped had been heavily promoted, I believe the ratings would have been higher, and not only would nbc be looking at a successful season this year, but next year as well.

Kidnapped is the best show to premiere this season and NBC is going to cancel! As others have said on this board, I will watch the rest of the episodes of Kidnapped and then good-bye NBC (don't even care to see ER again) I can't believe they would get rid of Kidnapped but keep the biggest loser or 2 nights of deal or no deal...I don't get it.

I hope NBC changes there mind or another network like USA picks it up.

I can't beleive they are not going to continue with "Kidnapped"

This is not good.

I do not think I will get "hooked" on any more NBC products. It seems that NEW serious adult drama is not getting any favor on NBC. How many versions of Law & Order can they come up with?

Sorry to interrupt, but i have a question. In espisode 1 there is a scene at the end where the investigator is sitting in a room and a song plays with a male vocalist. Can some tell the vocalist, song, and /or band?

sad.gif Where was "Kidnapped" last night? I'm so disappointed. It had already become my favorite show of the season. My only worry was "Why would they name it Kidnapped if they expected it to be a continuing show?" Timothy Hutton and Dana Delaney are the highlight of the show. They sparkle in this medium. In fact, I enjoyed every performance except that of the guy who played the FBI chief (he seemed to be reading off cue cards). PLEASE tell me they've just rescheduled!!!

It's on Sat. starting the 21st 9/8 c.. there will only be 13 eps instead of the 22.. we are hoping ( by sending nice e-mails to nbc at nbcshows@nbc.com that we can get another season, we need to tell everyone one we know or or other borads to check out this show to get ratings back up for that chance. So please let everyone know that you know to either watch it or DVR - TIVO kidnapped this may help us.

They have NOT cancelled KIDNAPPED! It is now going to be on Saturdays, beginning October 21st at 9/8c. They will finish up the storyline and they won't leave us hanging!

Don't give up-send a nice, pleading e-mail to nbcshows@nbc.com! That is what we are doing!!! KEEP KIDNAPPED ALIVE!!

I hope that NBC doesn't cancel what along with Studio 60 is the best new show on NBC. The show reminds me of Fox's great 24. It is worth keeping although perhaps in a different time slot.

They are keeping it they are. They aren't planning a second season, but they are wrapping up the episodes and the storyline at episode 13!

Our fight is to ask them to please reconsider and film the original storyline of 22 episodes!! WE LOVE THIS SHOW!!

The new date and time is Saturdays, 9/8c, beginning October 21st!!! So, keep watching, read the topics on the Kidnapped board about how to voice your opinion and beg them nicely to please pay attention to our pleas.

Seems unrealistic to expect a 2nd season when the 1st season didn't get good enough ratings to air teh whole thing and shorten it to a condensed 13 episode season.

I thank NBC for at least finishing out the plot, and I also love the fact that it's on Saturday now because I was watching like 6 shows on Wednesday on the tivo as it was and had only Heroes as my only must watch show on a different day.

You can't blame the network for cancelling a show that's not getting ratings. It's just sad that people weren't tuning in and prefer the reality TV shows and game shows instead. I will miss the show. Oh well.

Well, you may have a point, but for a network who is losing viewers to cable, it would make sense for them to give a show an opportunity beyond 2 episodes. They are concerned about it, yet they have no backbone to stick with and win viewers.

Instead they'll pander to a population that wants instant gratification - oh yes - i'm sure deal or no deal and 1 vs. 100 will build them a true television network. Best of luck to them in that.

Meantime, after Kidnapped, me and 6 million like me will head back to gutsy, quality programming on a cable network.

They talk the talk, but can't walk the walk - that's it plain and simple. let them pander to mouth breathers and persons with ADHD - it's over for network TV and they can sit and stew on the cause for a while.

KEEP KIDNAPPED ALIVE.

I just got through telling about 10 different people that Kidnapped is the best new show of the season. And now I hear it is to be cancelled after 13 episodes. Unbelievable. It is idiotic not to give such a great show more of a chance. They could also have given it a better time slot. (The lead-in was terrible and it was put on opposite an established blockbuster.) Once again, the networks have axed a brilliantly written, superbly acted show, in order to cater once again to the least-common denominator-that is, people who don't want to think or experience intelligent dialogue and who prefer mindless entertainment. What will they replace Kidnapped with? Another stupid "reality show" or another sex-obsessed drama? How can there still be god-knows-how-many variations of Law and Order (stilted and predictable) on the air while a show like Kidnapped gets cancelled? Saturday night may be the death of it, but let's hope instead that the lack of ANY decent shows on Saturday will draw viewers to Kidnapped! There really isn't anything else to watch that night. So, give the move some great publicity NBC!!!

Could not agree more, I am really sick of all the date shows and diet shows and L&O I hate to turn my tv on anymore because there is really nothing to watch. I usally watch abc but even that is getting to be to much, however I do like medium on nbc, but kidnapped is the one I really don't want to miss everyweek, it draws me back like a thristy person is drawn to drink.

They are not doing any promotion for the new airtime, are they? I am not sure what makes me more upset: The decision to cancel the show because of low rating, or not informing the viewers of the new time. I think the latter. It is as if they are intentionally letting it sink. huh.gif

I've been e-mail usa networks in hopes they will pick it up - fortunately we'll see the outcome of the kidnapping of Leo, but i really wanted to see all 22 episodes they way the story was originally planned rather than the contingency storyline.

I wish someone would pick it up- it's truly amazing and i think if nbc had allowed word of mouth a little time they would have had a dedicated audience to this show.

hi all, new member to this group,,,,,,,, just got back from a long trip and i'm sick of the day change and now seeing it may be cancelled.... what the!!! everytime there is a GOOD show, awesome actors and material to really focus on, the powers that be screw it up... the mindless reality shows and game shows are given more of a fair chance and support than shows like kidnapped which has good writing, fantastic actors and keep the viewer invloved. Mr. Less if you're reading blogs from the fans get off your expensive chair march down a couple of flights of stairs and give support to the people behind this show.

Hey dreams55 - welcome to our group of rabid Kidnapped fans! Please be sure to check out our topics on the Kidnapped board on how to keep this show alive!

Basically, Kidnapped has been moved to Saturdays, beginning (yeah!) tomorrow October 21st with episode 4, 9/8c. The show has been told to wrap up the storyline of Leo Cain's kidnapping in 13 episodes, so the good news is you will see a completed storyline.

Bad news is that at this time there won't be a season 2, but our hope is to send enough fan mail to nbcshows@nbc.com to get them to reconsider! There are a lot of ways to show your support, but the main thing is to pass the word to your friends about the new day and time, and get everyone to watch the show tomorrow night or at least Tivo or DVR the program if you'll be out because they track that information, and get those ratings up!!

We're proud to have you here - please check out the topics on how to KEEP KIDNAPPED ALIVE, and comment, email anywhere you can! We need all the help we can get!!

Best to you and welcome!
