So I went on the ER board, because I do watch that show and I wanted to chat about last night's premier (wow was that insane!) anyways... most of the people on there have names that have NOTHING to do with ER, and MOST (not all) avatars are of other shows, or just plain random things. BUT on this board, it's like we're on a whole different level. I'd say 99% of us have display names AND avatars that have EVERYTHING to do with the show. it's like, other people are, "yeah, I watch that show." but we are like... obsessed. we need therapy.

I don't need therapy for liking this show too much.

I need therapy for crying all the time for no reason. At least, that's what the "doctor" says.

I've noticed that about other boards too. I love this board. True Fans! We analyze every frame, every pause, etc. LOL I love it here! You still watch ER???? I don't know how that show is still on the air. All the original cast members are gone, and they keep having special shows in Africa or something. The show is called "ER" - STAY in the ER. You didn't see the Cheers cast go serve beer in the war in desert storm. LOL I hope they cancel ER soon. I'm bored with it already.

I noticed that about y'all right off... The BL forum has a lot of people on there that have names that have nothing to do with the show...

So, yeah, I love the level of obsession on this board...

I'm at 50% ... my name is different, but that's because I use pretty much the same screen name for everything. Easier to remember that way! But I can promise you this much ... my my avatar will ALWAYS be dedicated to something Office.

Me too - way too much to remember otherwise. Mine has stuck from when I became a Parrothead (many years ago) and I use it for ... well ... everything! The picture is new though - just added it today.

yeah... it's one of my guilty pleasures... but that's not completely true, what you said... There are a few characters that are from the first couple of seasons (maybe not the first few epi's, but...) those are Weaver, Carter (even though he's in africa), Jerry, and most of the nurses (not the head nurses, like Carol, but Hilay (sp?), Lydia, and Chunie). And yeah, they've had a lot of seasons, but at the same time... the fact that they've changed the cast is what makes it interesting. There's only so many things that can go on with those people, so they HAVE to change them out--that's how they've stayed around for 13 years! And it's a little more realistic--people changing out/leaving that particular hospital, moving on, etc. And it's a nice, gradual change. But anyways. that was my rant in defense of ER. I'm done now.

The Law and Order boards are full of Law and Order related named people and all of our signatures tend to have to do with L&O (though mine is a quote from the Office)

I wasn't talking about the number of threads. I was talking about the people who post in those sections. And those sections were only opened on Tuesday - unlike this section which has been open for months. And I don't understand why you had to be so rude about it either.

I'm proud of the fact my avatar has NEVER changed... I dont think anyone else has done that... signatures however, are meant to change...

I didn't know I was being rude. I thought it was funny, because on other boards, that have been open for as long as we have, they still only have less than a page. it's more a comment on our own lack of lives than anything else. I'm sorry if I offended you. Can I embrace you...?

It's ok, we can embrace It just really came off more like you were making fun of Law and Order fans (and there really aren't that many people who post in those sections, very much unlike in here or in the ER section. I think it's because a lot of L&O fans are much older than the people who generally watch the Office, which is much cooler). And I'm also just really defensive of my baby!! lol

and I do watch SVU, so I was in no way making fun of the show. I just think it's hillarious how obsessed we are over here. We are serisouly addicted. I've posted over 110 posts today. that's pathetic.

I don't think it's pathetic at all. ...if anything I wish the law and order sections had so many people so excited to post stuff about the show!!!

I think it's a good thing we're all so obsessed.....it might not be too healthy, but we're probably the most fun.

I'm with you. I am one of those people that don't change my avatar....though I don't post very much. It is nice to see an avatar and know who is posting. For example, I can recognize ilovepam, or diapers, or garethschrute a mile away.
