Was anyone else just completely disappointed with tonight's episode?? I can't wait for Olivia to come back!

I was sad! I miss Liv! :-( They were seriously missing some female essence during the investigation scenes and I was thinking Elliot's partner would bring some feminine side back while Liv is gone but she seems pretty tomboyish to me. lol. Aww it's going to be a loooooooooooooooooooooong six eps without Liv! That'll take us into November eh?

I loved tonight's episode, even if it did give a bunch of Elliot's boring family drama. (By the way the new actress who plays his oldest daughter looks nothing like the other gal). I liked that we saw tons of Ice-T in this episode ...he's always fun. And the episode itself was really good, I liked the story and I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about it (like am I on the mom's side or the dad's, and do I think the girl should be allowed to live with that guy). solid A

I loved last night's episode, it was better than the 1st. I like it when Det. Stabler & Det. Beck meet at the end. Now I can not wait tell next week to see what happens.

I liked it a lot. It was different. I really felt for Janie. And you know an episode is good when you can feel sorry for someone. I think this season is gonna be full of twists and turns and suprises. I'm excited.

I am so excited too, everybody that knows me, knows i do not go out on tues nights.

I really really liked this episode! I felt for Jaine....But I did want to wring Elliot's neck.With him not signing the divorce papers,he is putting his whole family in limbo and I hate him for it.He should be thinking of his family instead of threatening violence on Kathleen's boyfriend!

That's the same actress that's played Kathleen since around "Blood". Kathleen is his second oldest, Maureen is his oldest.

I thought the episode was okay. I just didn't like the whole drama with Elliot's family and there's suppose to be more through out the season. If there's a lot about it, it will eventually get boring. Just sign the d*** papers already! The marriage is done and has been for a long time, just let Kathy move on with her life. And he should move on with his.

It will get boring and fast. The previews hype the shows and when we see them, they are a let down. I'm looking forward to some exciting new epis this Season.

I was really disappointed in the show without Liv. I know she needs time to grieve for her dad; so it's okay.
I can be patient for that. I feel badly for her because she just had her baby, then her dad passes on. Yet, it is great that he was able to be here when August was born.
I don't mind the drama with the divorce papers and all. I think, according to Neal's blog, there's going to be some interesting "stuff" with all that.

Well she isn't on the show because of maternity leave, not because her dad died. The episodes with her in them were actually shot before last season was done airing.

Err... I just checked IMBb, and it said that the actress who played Kathleen was / has been the same since the start of the series... No 'new actresses' on Stabler's family front.

Er ... Elliot_Oliviafan already cleared that up three posts ahead of you ... read the whole thread newbie. We've already established that I mixed up Kathleen and Maureen.

Olivia come back i hope its soon cause she the show ... i cannot not believe it she not there right now ... my sister n i got mad that night.

Liv will be back before you know it but the episodes without her are not the same to me. The season open was good, but the second one wasn't as good. I hope it gets better next week. I love Fin. He cracks me up. But SVU without Olivia is just not the same "Aivilo"..hehe remember that one?

I agree. The chemistry of this cast is awesome! None of them are replaceable really. I was really scared when we got a new ADA though ... but she's been working out pretty well (luckily it's not too big of a role). But could you imagine if Stabler quit? Or Munch? Or Liv? Or Fin? Yes I think the world would actually end!

SVU aint the same without Liv. Can't wait till november when she's back.

Personally speaking, I didn't miss Olivia all that much. To me it feels like just another tandem episode where Elliot is working with another detective while Olivia is working on another case. They happen 4-6 times a year, so this is nothing new.

Olivia is returning in an episode called "Infiltration" that began shooting the week of September 19. It's scheduled to air late October. From what I've seen and heard, it'll be a solo-Benson episode (meaning we won't see much of the other detectives).

Gosh.. I don't know why but this is my absoulte fave epidsode. Betsy Hoggs Acting was so perfect.. and the last scene.. when she and Jason Butler Harner were kissing... wow.. this made my whole world turning.
