I'll go ahead and start.

I have Season 1 and Season 3 on DVD. What I would like to know is where the heck is Season 2????

I've never seen season 2 for sale either. Even the NBC Store in NY only carries seasons 1 and 3.

If you promise to be a good LOCI fan, you might find it your xmas tree this year -- I've read that Season 2 is FINALLY going to be released Dec. 12th. I've watched Season 1 and 3 so many times I know Goren's dialogue better than Vincent D'Onofrio!!!

Every other show out there has all their DVD's out a few months after the season finale. And here we are still waiting for Season 2!!!!! How long will we have to wait for Seasons 4 and 5?

Yes, I want them now. I'll still watch USA every night. And Bravo every Sunday. Just please, please, let me have all the episodes........NOW!!!!!

OMG!!! I so hope you are right about Dec 12!! I love the repeats on USA and Bravo and I always watch them, but sometimes what I really want to do is sit down on a weekend and watch the whole series in order. And it just doesn't work when you skip from 1 to 3!

I did just check out one of my DVD sites, and it doesn't list it .... yet. I'm hoping that it's just too early for them to have a 'set in stone' date for the release. But I have seen Dec. 12th on different boards. Hope this isn't just an evil joke...

I bought season 1 and I liked it so much that I ordered season 2. But season 2 has only region code 2, so for the americans maybe impossible to watch if they haven't a free code player. I hope that season 3 is going to be a code 2 as soon as possible. And if it isn't that case I have to watch it on my computer.

Has anyone heard when more Law & Order Dvd's will be released? Season's 2, 4, & 5 have yet to be released.

If you read the SVU forum, this has already been posted just for the SVU seasons. Dick Wolf said that he'd try to release the rest of the DVD box sets in the next 6 months.

Well actually he said they try to do a season of each show every six months. Wolf did a live chat thing here on NBC.com about two weeks ago? But yeah people are saying Season 2 is coming out this December and I think they are pretty reliable !!! YAY my B-Day and Christmas!!

Season 2 on DVD will be released in mid-December in the US. You can order it at Amazon and most other places right now.

It's a mystery why it's taken so long for this season--probably LOCI's most consistently good one--to come out on DVD.

During his live chat Dick Wolf said he is trying to get a season out every six months. Season 2 of CI comes out Dec 12. The rumor mill is saying a season of SVU will be coming out in February-April area.

I live on the other side of the ocean (Europe) and season 2 has just come out on DVD. I picked it up on Wednesday

What store has the cheapest $$ for CI Dvd's? I could have sworn I saw one months ago (just after I spent all my paycheck) for $40... and now they're for $67. (Not same as American 'cause of exchange rate).

What's the best place to get these Dvd's? Walmart, Bestbuy, Future Shop, HMV, Music World...or somewhere else?

Apologies for bumping a very old thread, but Amazon has just informed me that they have begun shipping the pre-orders for Season 2. Mine will be here by Saturday (thank you Amazon!). For those who haven't ordered yet, they are still accepting pre-orders, since it is not technically released in the US until Tuesday. Price is $37.99 (USD) right now, but the Amazon website says the regular price is $59.98. You may want to treat yourself to an early present for the holidays, and pick it up before Tues.

From what I understand, this DVD set doesn't come with any extras (except the lack of commercials and the ability to play the entire second season on an endless loop ). But given that it's been a while since most of us saw all these eps in order (d@mn sick people keep calling 911 right when an ep airs ), should we start a new thread for the DVD release/2 season eps, or just keep this one going?

Sorry to rub it in further, Cvl, but I too am expecting my Season 2 DVD from Amazon - got the news yesterday that its coming Thursday. However, my daughter is giving it to me for Christmas, so I have to wait until then to watch it. (Is is weird to play CI on Christmas Day amongst the guests & turkey dinner?)

The Anerican version of Season 2 has 30 minutes of deleted & never before seen scenes from the show. That is why I wanted it!

Not wierd at all. When I got my other CI's I got them on Christmas and I popped them in immediatly. Some people open presents and eat yule log to christmas carols or the whatever parade ... in my family though we celebrate the birth of Jesus with the Major Case Squad.

I was a little confused at first. I kept hearing about Season 2 and the dvd signing... Then, I didn't see it listed on this site and would have thought NBC would have put it in its store...but I didn't see it. So of course I thought it might be a boot leg of some sort...but why would a reputable big chain music store sell that?

I bought it anyways. Original price was $68. I paid $17...with xmas money I got...so it's practically free. I'm so excited to watch this tonight!

It's been confusing the way the DVD's have been released. First was season 1 then 3. Back to Season 2. And such a long span of time between releases. Hopefully we won't have to wait as long for Seasons 4 & 5 to be released... and that they released them in order...

Ok, i might have missed this somewhere, but for CI do they not release the seasons in order? because i just got season 2, for christmas and my mom could not find season 1 anywhere. but on best buy and other websites it says season 3 is already out. is that correct?

Seasons 1 and 3 have been out for a while. Season 2 was just released this month.

I know you wrote this a while ago, but where did you buy it, and was it $17 total, or is that the difference you had to pay after the xmas money you spent? That's really cheap, whether it's Canadian or American dollars.

Hi sufan,

Glad you found the DVD thread. To answer your earlier question, the CI DVD's come out by season, and not always released in order either. Since Season 5, a season includes both sets of Detective Teams -- Goren and Eames and Logan and Wheeler. I don't believe it's possible to purchase just Goren and Eames episodes.

Hello everyone! I'm new and just wanted to say how happy I am that this board exists. It is SO wonderful to be in the company of all you LOCI fans, especially my fellow Bobby-philes.

Please forgive me if someone already posted this info, but i couldn't find it anywhere on the board. When will Season 4 be released on DVD? I need to be able to have my Bobby fix anytime. If only, there were a 24-hour LOCI channel! Oh well, I guess a girl can always dream.
