Hey all,
I was flipping channels and came across FNL. I had never watched it before, but I love football, so I lingered for a little bit. Then on came this song. It was during the time the QB who ended up kicked off the team was running for a TD and the coaches were yelling at him to pass to the guy open in the flat. The song keeps repeating "I don't care who I hurt." Anyways, that loop is from a band called "Power of Zeus" and it happens to be my best friend's Dad's band. I think the album with the song called "It Couldn't Be Me" was released in the mid to late '60's or early '70's. Does anyone know the name of the band that is sampling this song? If someone could help me out that would be a great help. Thanks!
I was wondering the same thing. That song was also featured in HBO's Entourage. With your hint, I did some google searching and found out it's Artist:Obie Trice, Song:Wanna Know. I just downloaded it off ITunes. Thanks.

Thanks so much for your help! I just downloaded the song, and played it right next to the Power of Zeus song, and man, they took a lot from it. I told my friend about it, and he told his dad, who was pretty surprised. Obie is from Detroit, and so was Power of Zeus, so it makes sense in that regard. Awesome.

I always hate to see someone's post totally ignored...I don't have a definite answer but it sounds like maybe somebody from St. Loius...the first words he says are "I came herr to get the club poppin" Chingy and Nelly cme to mind right away but I've never heard it before. Then again, Voodoo is supposed to be from N.O. so somebody from that area might be the artist. The little piece we hear isn't bad so I wouldn'tmind knowing myself.
I was actually looking for the song that Lyla is running to in episode 5 and found it in a later thread. I hope you have the same luck!

Just to chime in, I also came to find out the song Lyla runs to. But...I do really enjoy this series so far. I'm in Chicago and Prep football isn't the thing here, B-ball is...I always wanted to play football but my dad wouldn't let me for fear of getting hurt. Turns out I tore my ACL shooting around while cutting art class...I was never more than a marginally fair basketball player of the lowest standards and I guess I just realized how much I resented the fact I never even got to try football. Now I'm 30, skinny and my football dreams are gone baby...LOL!
There's a guy asking about the song at the party in episode 4 when Voodoo gets into it with Smash. Maybe somebody can help him?

The song at the end of the show, when Street was watching Lyla and Tim out the window, is "Everything I Do" by Whiskeytown. I loved it when I heard it so I looked it up this morning and listened to it again.
There has been some great music on this show! "Come Back" by Pearl Jam is another song that touched a nerve with me.
Is this music touching anyone else besides me?

I've been trying to figure out what band performs the theme song to the show since the second episode.
People keep saying it's "Remember Me as a Time of Day," but unless EITS re-recorded it for the show, that's not the case. They played it as the intro to the pilot, but now they have an official theme, and I love the song. I'm actually pretty sure no Explosions In The Sky song sounds like that.
Anybody know what it is?

The song is called "Flutterby" by a group called Helen Stellar. They have another song on the same album called "IO" which is even better - Cameron Crowe used it in his movie "Elizabethtown"

ahhh no its not "your hand in mine" or "your hand in mine w/ strings" by explosions in the sky. On the first episode it was "remember me as a time of day" by explosions in the sky off of "how strange, innocence" I am positive about that, right when the episode starts and they're talking about the new coach. But the "theme song" in the beginning of every episode after the first one where you see the characters and the names of the people that play them, during those scenes theres another song that plays and I cant figure it out for the life of me. It sounds like an explosions in the sky song but of all the stuff I have from them, which is a lot, I cant find a song that resembles that one. anyone pleeease help. I want to know.

I've been a fan of EITS for several months now, and ltj above me is right, its not Your hand in mine, or Remember me as a time of day, and definitely not Remember the Name by Fort Minor, as some threads have claimed. I've been trying to find out the artist and song name for the theme song but had no luck whatsoever. I sent an email to EITS not too long ago asking if it was their music, not sure if i'll get a response but if I do i'll be sure to post it on here.
Perhaps it could be one of the songs off their new album "All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone" which they finished recording at around the same time the show started.... Small possibility but who knows...

have been looking for this information ever since I saw the preview for the pilot episode and heard the song. The song on the pilot previews playing in the begining is "Remember Me as a Time of Day" by Explosions in the Sky. The album the song is on dropped back in October of 2005 and the producers took a liking to it and decided to use it as the main theme song. The album can be purchased at Amazon.com for around $11.
