OFFICIAL MESSAGE BOARD ETIQUETTE RULES

First things first. To begin, please take a look in the the help section. There is lots of great info in there on how to use these forums.

In order to keep things flowing here on the NBC forums, we wanted to advise you all on how to help.

To avoid multiple posts on the same topic, either do a search or look beyond the first page of posts (on the bottom left is the back pages links). Any posts that are discussing the same will be merged and will be marked as merged. Please note that some merged topics may have a changed title to reflect the topic better.

If you can not find your post, go to the upper left where it says "Logged in as: <username>" and click on your name to bring up your profile. Go to profile options on the right and from there you can search all your posts and topics.

Regarding board rules:
All posts will be moderated following the rules dictated by NBC (see etiquette and legal stuff below). If you break any of the rules, your post will be locked or deleted and you may risk being banned from these forums. If you feel that a post or if a poster is offensive or breaks any rules, please use the nifty "Report" button which can be found on the bottom right of all posts.

ALL CAPS
I know, I know...everyone wants to be heard. With so many topics and posts, it's hard to stand out from the crowd. But did you know that TALKING IN ALL CAPS online indicates that you are shouting? It's a very aggressive way to post and it doesn't come off as being very friendly. Moderators can (and do) delete any topics or posts that use ALL CAPS.

SPAM
It's not just weird meat in a can...it's also annoying online behavior that creates a lot of static in message boards. Spam, for those of you who don't know, can be described as this: the posting of advertisements, abusive, or unneeded messages on forums. You may think it only applies to junk mail or ads, but it also applies to the unnecessary posts that don't contribute any useful information to a topic. Simple rule: don't do it. Ever. Moderators can (and do) delete any topics or posts that are considered spam.

OT POSTS

I think it's great that many of you have found meaningful friendships with other NBC.com users. I also think it's great that you want to engage them in conversations that have nothing to do with NBC programming (OT = Off Topic...in other words, a conversation that is not relevant to the topic.) I've noticed a number of similar OT topics in forums which end up burying the pertinent on topic information. For newcomers, this makes for a very poor user experience. Moderators have beeen instructed that they can (and should) merge similar topics, so please don't panic if you notice that your conversation was merged with another similar one. We're just trying to keep the information as easy to find as possible.

ACTOR BASHING
Ok, ok, ok...so being a little critical of performances is one thing, but actors are people too. Whether you think their performances were good or bad, feel free to talk about it. But please do so as if you were talking to the actor face to face. You need to treat the celebrities (scripted or reality) the way you'd treat any other users on the boards. Moderators will delete any messages that are considered flames to actors or other users.

TROLLS

A troll is a person who enters an established forum and intentionally tries to cause disruption, most often in the form of posting inflammatory, off-topic, or otherwise inappropriate messages. We've noticed a lot of trolls in the new show boards and we're deleting topics posted by said individuals. If you're a newbie and you want to establish yourself as a regular poster, please read the conversations and post relevant questions or posts in response. And you know, it never hurts to introduce yourself when you first join a new forum to let people know you're new and interested in joining the community. A little friendliness goes a long way.

If you need any assistance, please feel free to contact one of the moderators on this forum.

On behalf of the moderating team here, thanks for your participation. Please, buckle up, keep your hands and feet in at all times, and enjoy the show.

I am just getting really frustrated with this whole Crossing Jordan issue. Where in the heck is it?
I miss my Bug and Nigel...I am addicted, and, think this might just be the best show on television.
They made a couple of changes in the last couple of seasons(I didn't enjoy the episode whereby Nigel has a girlfriend who has her own daughter kidnapped--Nigel's sexual ambiguity was part of the charm. And, just don't like Lou. I also miss Ken Howard), but, the show is still darned good, and, I find it annoying that they are not being more forthcoming about the status of the show. mad.gif

I agree that NBC isn't giving any info! I have been emailing NBC everyday to get some kind of answer! My husband and I have been waiting for it come back on? Let me know if anyone finds out about it!

sad.gif I too am so frustrated over this turn of events I could scream!! I do not watch much TV except LOVE "Crossing Jordan". I know show has huge following...if anyone hears back from NBC on what in heavens name is going on, please post!!
k2rmom
I don't know what NBC is doing this year. Every good show they have brought on this season is being pulled and previous season shows aren't returning. If I have to watch another game show or diet show instead of quality television like Crossing Jordan, I am going to scream. No wonder Jay Leno seems to mock NBC and it's shows. I am surprised he still has a show. NBC is very disappointing this year.

So nobody's heard anything ....wasn't it suppose to premiere a month ago????

I'm curious as to how NBC makes decisions as to which shows are on/off; time changes, etc. I waste time searching for shows I like, missing many because of time/day changes. I watch reruns of my faves on A&E, USA, etc because of all the stupid "reality" shows. Excuse me, but I don't know any REAL people who spend time eating bugs, living in jungles, or "trading" family members. Does anyone from the networks really read these boards??? The people who watch these shows all seem to have the same complaints. Do you hear us NBC? Glad to see Jordan & Woody going to Vegas, but would love to see them back in Boston, regularly!

I miss Jordan, when is it coming back to TV?
I love Woody and Jordan and Bug and Nigel and Lily and Garrett. They are awesome characters and I miss them!

I swear if Crossing Jordan isn't back by January, I am boycotting NBC all together! I keep hearing rumors about why they are not showing season (which has already been filmed) but nothing from the network itself. Anyone else heard anything yet? mad.gif
MOMS_TV_TIME
I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING BUT SURE WOULD LIKE FOR CROSSING JORDAN TO COME BACK. I WONDER HOW NBC DECIDES TO SWITCH THINGS AROUND SO. IF YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KEEP WATCHING YOUR STATION - AT LEAST TELL PEOPLE WHATS GOING ON. I BELIEVE I MIGHT SEND A SNAIL MAIL! THAT MIGHT BE THE ONLY EAR THEY HAVE.

I would like to know as well..this is ridiculours.!!! its a fan based show.I can't beleive they aren't advizing when the show is coming back..I think that FX network should take it over
this one and Commander in Chief .Another great show that was taken off the air and replaced by such silly shows.!!!
come on everybody lets tell them what we think mad.gif

As for me, I live in Europe, and it's really frustrating to see how long it does take to have the show air... First it was announced to air in October, then not... Then it's on January 21th then not.. on 14th... It may be one week ago, that's not fair to make fans wait like that...

And no need to speak about the dvd's... dry.gif
mamahoag
I don't understand why NBC has chosen to play games with the fans of Crossing Jordan.....for pete's sake, put the show back on!!!!!!! Also, many of us have been waiting patiently for Crossing Jordan to come out on DVD....please hurry!

I'm glad this is finally on again. I'm looking forward to the season opener.

I like this show. I don't always get to watch it, but I do like it. I'm willing to bet that people who like Crossing Jordan would like Studio 60. Am I right? (Yes, Studio 60 is my favorite show.)
Anyway, I watched Crossing Jordan this week after not having seen it for awhile. Where's it been?
I like Nigel. I also like Garrett (people may make faces, but I think Mel Ferrer's got heat!). And I like Woody and Jordan as a couple of crime-solvers. I'm not much into the soap-opera love story angle much tho.
I just wanted to post here in case NBC's watching these boards to see whether folks are watching enough to do something proactive for shows they like.

I couldn't agree with you more, Sleepy. The originators of these "Reality" shows should get out more and meet REAL people, as you say, who don't eat bugs, etc. I thought I would experience withdrawal symptoms waiting for Jordan to return! Also, if these boards are indeed read by network people, WHY, OH WHY IS CROSSING JORDAN NOT ON THE NBC "REWIND"?????????

Has she been sick?

Hi All,

What did you thing of tonight's episode?

I loved the interaction between Jordan and Woody.

Who would believe that Jordan could actually provide Lily with some sound advice (smile).

I enjoyed the head butt that Woody gave Parnell.

Thank God Lily turned down Jeffrey's marriage proposal. Now maybe she and Bug can get together.

Missed Jordan and Woody being together.

Loved watching Garrett slowly simmer to the boiling point. I can't wait for him to blow this season. It is going to be a good one.

I absolutely loved this episode. I love this season. It's fantastic. Also, the head butt was awesome. Esp. when Jeffrey said he asked for it afterward.

I just cannot get enough of the show. I am so obsessed with the show, I guess you could say wub.gif , that I even watch the old episodes that come on during the day on A&E!! ...this show is super and jill hennessy gets better with age...!
...i think that if the producers made an episode with jordan as a child...the only choice to play her would be the 'Welch's Grape Juice ' girl...

They already have two actors who play a young Jordan.

I think there's three actors, actually. One was in Digger during the flashback to Jordan's mom's murder; one was in the season 1 finale w/ the mental hospital; and the last was in "Deja Past" in season 4...the one about the 'scary' old lady that supposedly killed her husband.

Shailene Woodley played a young Jordan in Digger: Part 2, Blood Relatives, Pandora's Trunk: Part 1 and Deja Past.
Georgia Eskew played a young Jordan in Secrets and Lies: Parts 1&2.

Does anyone know the name of the song that played at the very end of the "Isolation" episode? This was a great episode.

We are so overjoyed that CJ is back and on a new night. The stories so far are more substantial but we have a feeling at home that this show is on its last leg. So far, of all the medical shows, CJ is OSHA friendly. We are impressed by the correct use of personal protective equipment and up-to-date analyzers/technology. It is the only show that correctly portrays the difficulty of solving murder mysteries. It does push the envelope on the actual boundaries a true M.E.'s office can be involved in.

The most recent episode was well done.

We hope the CJ producers will continue to fund this show. It is much better than CSI because it stays close to reality both in storylines as well as in investigatory approach to each death.

Does anyone know if Katherine Hahn is off the show for good, or is she just on hiatus to have her baby (if she's really pregnant)?

Also, this is one of my favorite shows and I've been really upset that they keep messing around with it and moving it. On its new night, Wednesday, I am happy with it even though it prevents me from watching the "unsub" show, Criminal Minds. I am just as glad to catch CM in reruns later. Thank you NBC, for bringing it back, even though I don't count because I'm over 49.

Definitely one of my all-time favs. Could ANYONE tell me how to find out where I can learn where Jill Hennessy bought the necklace she's been wearing recently in the show? (Flat, gold disk). I've been driving myself crazying trying to google to find any idea but so far no luck! I'd greatly appreciate any help!
Thanks!
