Yeah, I heard a good review, the only real criticism was that the movie was 2 hrs. and 40 minutes long. Usually that would make me think twice, but I've got to see this one.
Yea - it was long and my butt started to get numb - but I remember the real story growing up in the 70's and it was fascinating to see it play out on the screen. Fincher loves to shoot really close up shots - if you love Jake, he's so close you can fall right into his dreamy eyes.

Has anyone here seen the movie, "The Never Ending Story"? That is like the creepiest movie, ever. You know what movies I don't like? Horror. I freak out way too easily.

Oh, I'm having a conflict with my brother, I want everyone to tell me which LOTR they like... Fellowship? Two Towers? Return of the King? My brother said that the first one is way better than the two last ones. I totally disagree. Who else likes the last one or second one better than the first one..?

I love Talledega Nights!
I saw it in the theater and I didn't think the movie was funny first time, but after I saw it again, I loved it.
I also love Mark Ruffalo, was he good in Zodiac?
Yes, I have seen The Never Ending Story and I loved it soo much as a kid.
Now, it kinda freaks me out. I watched it like a year ago and it was incredibly boring, I don't know how I sat through it as a kid.

Big news everyone!
I saw a trailer on TV last night(while watching Bourne Supremacy<good movie!) for the Last Mimzy with Rainn! It is a kids movie, but it looks cool!
I screamed, it's Dwight K. Schrute!
Score, eh?

saw a really good classic, They call it murder, with a very very young bogart. My friend got the prestige and I asked her what was it about and she told me the ending, it doesn't spoil it for me but now I don't think i will bother with it.
Never ending story and The Dark Crystal, 2 of the strangest movies for kids. Still convinced the muppet from dark crystal who had the missing charde and looked like a ram was based on della reese. Too bad the boy from never ending story killed himself.

Okay, I saw the
Lake House. It was okay, definitely a chick flick, which us "chicks" gotta have once in awhile. But what's with the screw-ups about the time stuff? All that stuff couldn't have happened on Feb.14th, 2006. It wouldn't make sense.

Better than Prestige...? I do not know...

Illusionist yes I saw it and I have real doubts the Prestige can top it.
Loved it great movie Norton is a master of his craft

I saw and liked the Illusionist and then the other night saw a trailer for Prestige and was so confused. It looks like the same plot. Norton is wonderful and so I can't imagine Prestige will be better.

Really? I think that the last part in the third one, where Aragorn says that the hobbits don't bow to anyone, was so adorable. I cry everytime.

I sound like such a dork. Hehe.
Also, has anyone seen Big Fish. Now THAT is a good movie, sad but interesting! David Denman is in it as well. And he gives Ewan McGregor a total beating!

Well FOTR overall just had a little bit of everything IMO.
But really hard to pick between them like me trying to pick between SW movies very hard to do.
Yeah Big Fish is ok I mean it's not the type of movie I'd just pop in but I got it free with Stranger Than Fiction yesterday

JAM4EVA, I loved Big Fish. I owned the DVD for 2 years without ever watching it, but one day I was bored and decided to watch it. It was great!

Mar 3 2007, 06:35 PM
I saw Big Fish in the movie theater and when my friends and I walked out we looked at each other and said, "I don't want to talk about it." We just couldn't talk about it; if we liked it, hated it, what it was about...so it took me forever to watch it again.
I have decided that I do like it, though! Billy Crudup's performance was the worst thing about it for me, but I've gotten used to him, so it's cool. It's very well done.

I think The Prestige and The Illusionist are good movies, but have different plots.
The Prestige is more about magic and the actual tricks.
The Illusionist is more of an elaborate love story.
Both movies make you think and are the kind that you have to watch over and over again.
Both good movies.

Big Fish was one of the best movies I have seen in years. My best friend didn't like it, she also hated moulin rouge and little miss sunshine. but yet she loved the last kiss I think it's called with sam jackson and that model actress milia something or rather. I watched it, I hated it.
Movies I will still pull out and watch that are kids movies...Land before time, American tale and the sandlot and the goonies. I don't have anymore...the lost boys or stand by me.

I used to love that movie when I was a kid. I bought it when it came out on DVD but haven't watched it in about five years. Yes, it is very creepy and disturbing, but I've always been oddly fascinated by it. And I swear, I still get the theme song stuck in my head from time to time.

Jam4neva - I saw the Prestige yesterday. I really enjoyed it, but I have to watch it again before I can discuss it. I had figured out most of the tricks, except Angier's (which is kinda the most obvious, but nevermind!), but the voiceover at the end (Cutter's) confused me, so I want to watch it again to figure out what that was about.
