Review: Reign Over Me
What a wonderful movie just plain and simple as that.
This movie really did have everything and the cast did a wonderful job. Who says Sandler can't act? They are lame if they still say that after this movie. Don Cheadle was just perfect his acting was really perfect to say the least.
I'll just put it like this if you liked the trailer then you won't be disappointed. In fact it was even better than I ever dreamed it could be.
This is not a 9-11 movie so do not let that scare you off it's just part of the backstory of Sandler's character.
You care about the people in the film and feel that they are real and that is what makes a good film.
I am not really sure what to rate this film I really don't I feel that I would not be able to do it justice if I were to just put a number on it.
So Verdict: 10 out of 10
A wonderful story with a perfect mix of everything.
OFFICE RELATED: BJ Ryan played a part and wow he may have played the biggest jerk I have ever seen in a movie. I would have used a stronger word but it would block it out I am sure. P.S. He was a lawyer with no heart. Good thing he was put in place.
i'm gald ot hear it was good because alot of other reviews sad it was kind of bad
another good thing about it, apparently adam sandler donated his entire paycheck to the families of 9/11 victims
PS
i just saw For your consideration and thank you for smoking, and they were both hysterical, and they both had office characters in them. In for your consideration, i rewinded and watched the part with john in it three times

On RottenTomatoes it's at 65% which is fresh and users have it at 90% Fresh so it seems most end up liking it.
Though I know not everyone will like it because some people just don't like movies with no action or whatever. Everytime I thought it started to drag it picked back up like 2 seconds later LOL.
Reign Over Me that is.

I absolutely LOVE A Room with a View! In my very humble opinion, it is the absolute best adaptation of a movie from a book ever made and that is saying A LOT because there are many book to movie adaptations that I like a lot (P&P, LOTR, Princess Bride, etc.) I love, love, love Freddy's hair and striped jacket, Daniel Day Lewis is the consommate actor as usual and is hysterical. Anyway, I could go on and on, but I do hope you enjoy it -- especially the "bathing scene." Ha ha!

Mirren and Harris Hunt National Treasure
JoBlo has learned that Oscar-winner Helen Mirren (The Queen) will play Nicolas Cage's mother, Emily Gates, in Walt Disney Pictures' National Treasure: Book of Secrets.
The site says that Emily will help link Gage's Ben Gates to his family's connection to John Wilkes Booth and the mysterious Knights of the Gold Circle.
And the bad guy this time around? Four-time Oscar nominee Ed Harris. He'll play Jeb Wilkinson, who has some information about Gates' father and aligns himself as an ally.
Returning for the Jon Turteltaub-directed sequel are Diane Kruger, Justin Bartha and Harvey Keitel.

Ray Winstone Joins Indiana Jones 4
Ray Winstone (The Departed, upcoming Beowulf) has signed on for a major role in Paramount Pictures' Indiana Jones 4, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Although the film's plot is being closely guarded, the trade says Winstone will play star Harrison Ford's sidekick.
Cate Blanchett already has boarded the project, to be produced by Lucasfilm and directed by Steven Spielberg.
David Koepp wrote the screenplay for "Indy 4," which is scheduled to begin filming in June in Los Angeles and at top-secret locations around the world.
Paramount Pictures will release the film day-and-date worldwide May 22, 2008, with a handful of territories opening the following day.
Frank Marshall is producing, with George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy executive producing.

I just had the most seriously frightening moment with my four year old daughter:
She's watching Lady and the Tramp, and the two dogs were having their "bella notte". She suddenly she says, "awww....They're going to sleep together!"
It was a moment before I realized that she literally meant
sleep, because they show them waking up next to each other the next morning.

Oh yeah- I love Desk Set. I actually find it kinda tame compared to some of the scenes in Women of the Year with the both of them. I actually couldn't believe a few of the scenes in that movie being made in 1942 and all. Not that it was anything like today's movies- but still. It was a great movie too. But yes- I do like Desk Set

I love Desk Set too. The champagne scene when Katherine is telling the "mexican avenue" bus story.

Okay - just got back from a matinee of "Meet the Robertsons (3D)" that I took my daughter to see (I "kidnapped" her out of class as a treat because I've been away on a business trip for more than a week)... it may be nothing but sleep deprivation, but I really LOVED this movie.

I've already decided to quit nursing/pumping because every time I do, he takes it as an opportunity to misbehave. Yesterday he and his sister ran in the living room and took turns jumping off the coffee table. At least with bottles, it's faster, and you don't have to worry about stopping the flow once it's going.

ITV is okay, the mainly run american programs on it anyhow. ITV2 runs the american verison of the office at like 1030 at night though, ugh! BBC has been slacking on some its programs though. They've seemed to put more money and effort into junk tv. Billie piper is one of those you either like her or don't. I liked her in dr who. so I'm sure I would enjoy it.
