Monday I saw Grindhouse and I must say it was one of the best experiences I ever had at a movie it was just amazing!
The 1st movie was Planet Terror which I really thought I would hate to be honest with you but wow this was just one crazy fun movie I mean it's just hard to explain but wow it was just crazy and funny as ****!

Faux Trailers-These are worth the price of admission alone I laughed about the entire time these were on!
2nd film Death Proof so umm Tarantino has yet to make a bad movie amazing! I don't know what to say about this except it's just a thrill ride and some amazing car chases just wow. Kurt Russell is pretty much dead on in this role it's good ****.

Great films I loved them just a really fun time.
Fair WARNING though these movies even how funny the "Gore" may be it's still pretty **** gross in some parts especially Planet Terror.
I think I'll try to see this one more time in theaters it was just good stuff!
I don't know what to rate it so the **** with it: Verdict: 10 out of 10
I wish this movie did better at the Box Office I think it failed because of these reasons:
1. No one knew what the film was about some people did not even know it was 2 movies **** I did not know what the plots were even about before I saw the movie.
2. It's over 3 hours long!
3. This is not an Easter movie!
Let's hope it has legs it just sucks to see good movie not make money while movies "Are We Done Yet" make money.

I'm trying to talk my friend into seeing grindhouse, she says rose mcgowan is enough to make her not want to see it. she's far to picky.
Muffy, your not alone. when I was little I was in love with john travolta. Then, kevin spacey, david douchvny, clive owen, george clooney...the list of older men goes on an on.

Well, just got back from Blades of Glory.
It was a Will Ferrell movie. There isn't much more to say.
I thought Will Arnett and Amy Phoeler were hilarious.
A good movie to pass the time with.

STL, tell your friend that Rose was awesome in both features of Grindhouse. Better yet, leave your friend home and go see it yourself.

I just saw Grindhouse today as well. Now, I am
NOT a fan of gore, but I have to say I was way more impressed with Planet Terror than Death Proof. There was a lot of subtle humor in PT that I really appreciated. Like the female-elevator-music-version of Dead Kennedy's To Drunk to F*** playing during the women in cages scene... Also, I like how there were conspicuously "missing" reels during apparently key scenes.
Death Proof was just about one of the slowest building movies I've ever scene. The dialog wasn't even close to Tarantino's usual uber-cool chit-chat I've come to expect and love. I literally felt like taking a nap in the middle of DP. It didn't help that "Zoe" wasn't even an actress, but an
extremely over-acting stunt woman. Once the action did kick in during the last 1/4 of the film I was pretty impressed. Not enough to want to see it again though.
I totally agree that the fake trailers were worth the price of admission. I think I liked "Machete" (Desperado rip) and "Don't" the best.
Overall 7.5 out of 10.

I'd give it an 8.5. I liked Planet Terror a lot more too, but the ending of Death Proof was hysterical. The entire audience was screaming and laughing - it was cool.

I have no idea. I loved the first one but the second one was only ok to me. I'm probably not going to even see this one.
These movies were re-makes to begin with. I usually don't like when they remake movies. Just like that new movie "Are We Done Yet" is supposedly a re-make of the Cary Grant movie "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House" Ugghh

That just depresses me. When will Hollywood ever learn that most people don't want to see crap like that anymore?

Good point Bubble.
I also loved the first movie, a lot! The second one wasn't as good, but still entertaining.
However, I am always looking forward to things like this. Plus, there was a screen cap with George Clooney, Brad Pit, AND, Matt Damon all wearing aviator glasses and looking fly. That is reason enough for me to see it.

I think Grindhouse is one of those movies you have to see in the theater to get the full effect. The other people in the audience screaming and laughing really made it a fun experience. Try to go see it if you can.

Brendan Fraser has closed a rich deal to return in "The Mummy 3," but Rachel Weisz is not coming back.
Rob Cohen will direct the pic, which is expected to begin production late in the summer. It will be set in China and will introduce Jet Li as a villain.
Universal is planning a summer 2008 release; franchise has earned more than $830 million worldwide. "The Mummy" bowed in 1999 and "The Mummy Returns" in 2001.
Weisz has won an Oscar and had a baby since the last installment, has dropped out of talks to reprise her role. She has several other projects in the offing, including "The Brothers Bloom" and Phillip Noyce's Outback drama "Dirt Music," set to begin shooting in August.
Script is by "Smallville" creators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, who will do another pass that will factor in the absence of Weisz. Universal is holding up a greenlight pending a final rewrite, but a late summer start date is still expected.
Fraser, who previously toplined "George of the Jungle," has proven a reliable franchise performer. Word has it he's made a top-of-the-food-chain money deal for "The Mummy 3," the first film in the series that won't be directed by Stephen Sommers.
Sean Daniel, Jim Jacks, Sommers and his shingle partner Bob Ducsay are producing.
Fraser is also starring in two New Line-distributed films with tentpole aspirations: "Journey 3D," an adaptation of Jules Verne's "Journey to the Center of the Earth" that Walden Media and New Line are producing, and "Inkheart," the Iain Softley-directed adaptation of the Cornelia Funke fantasy novel. New Line is eyeing 2008 releases for both pics, which could lead to a trio of event-sized Fraser films.
Fraser's repped by WMA.

Blades of Glory = Holy Mrs. James Gunn a.k.a. Jenna Fischer !!!! A+++++.
Ok, it's probably not going to get an Oscar nod, but anything with Will Ferrell, Napolean Dynomite, Will Arnett and, of course, anyone from the cast of The Office is destined for high-brow entertainment. One of my friends bowed out from seeing this movie because, GASP, she hates Will Ferrell. I'm convinced she is in some underground movement to promote un-American philosophies.
Perfect Stranger = Perfect Mess. Awful. Too many subplots. And when Giovanni Ribisi's character turned into Angela Landsbury, the entire audience was just shaking it's head in a collective, "what the?".

PS:
i would just like to mention that the part where he's at that lady's garage sale and he asks her if she shrunk that person (who is actually a barbie doll) is my favourite part, that was actually really really funny.

alot of people have said that. Doesn't look good at all in any tralier. Nic cage's new movie looks horrible as well. Somebody please tell him to stop dying his hair so dark. Best part in Borat is when he throws his bag down on the ground and his chicken inside makes that awful painful noise. That alone makes the movie for me.

I got to watch Disturbia, this weekend. I have 'a thing' for Shia LaBeouf (nevermind that he's 6 years younger than me...LOL), so when I caught a preview of it a couple weeks ago I HAD to see it. I'm glad that I did. I've been going to the movies for Comedies alot, lately and it was refreshing to see such a good thriller in the theatres. There were lots of jumpy moments. I had a good crowd that made lots of reactions to scenes, so that made watching the film that much enjoyable. Definitely worth the price of admission (non-matinee, at that! =P)
