Wow, that is weird. I like U2 and all, but who out there really needs to see Bono in 3D?

I'm so excited! I just scored two tickets to a 7 p.m. sneak peek screening of Spider-man 3 on May 3. It was a tough choice - The Office vs. Spider-man 3. Then I remembered I have a season pass on iTunes. I'm covered.

It's a U2 concert in 3D not following them around etc

If I am not mistaken it will be the DVD of their lastest tour of a concert they did in Chicago last year

.
The Royal Tenenbaums one of the best movies ever!
I'm waiting for my work schedule to get my Spider-Man tickets. I won't ask for Thursday night off to see it at midhgt even though I really want too since in July theya re going to hate me since I won't be around much LOL.

I plan on watching this again this weekend.
One thing the cinematography is superb. My favorite scenes have been Thorton walking thru the mill with the cotton in the air.........BUT how does his proper black suit not have any cotton stuck to it??

Bessie & her father are one of my favorite parts so far, even with her gone.
Now I want to watch it again. I'm going to buy it soon. I can't begin to express how much I love this movie

Yes! The use the cotton floating to great effect. There are also scenes where they're inside talking and you see heavy snow falling outside the window. I'm sure it's supposed to remind us of the cotton. Also look for all the references to hands, shaking hands, holding hands, . . . .one or two other things I won't say until you're done, and of course hands link to the idea of labor, and manufacturing instead of leading a cushy life back in the South.

I loved Royal Tenenbaums! You should rent The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou next. Same director, Wes Anderson and almost the same cast as well. Quirky, and that same dry sense of humor.

I hope you love "A Summer Place." It's wonderful.
I recommend "Splendor in the Grass" and an oldie but goodie called "Love with the Proper Stranger." It has a very young and handsome Steve McQueen and Natalie Wood.
Sorry...i'm giving you unsolicited recommendations, but you seem like a girl who would really enjoy these. I know you love Audrey, like I love Natalie Wood!

These are all really great movies. You will love An Affair To Remember!

I watched the movie my friend lent me, Ginger snaps. A girl gets bit by a werewolf. it's your basic plot. Nothing special.
Another movie I would say to rent is a musical with peter lawford and june allyson GOOD NEWS. 1947 and it's very cute and mel torme has a really lovely song in it.

I love Good News. I actually have the VHS version- I haven't gotten around to buying it on DVD yet. My papa collected a lot of old movies as they came out on VHS when he was alive. That's why I have so many of them still. That is a great musical though- and June Allyson is one of my favorite actresses.

I agree. I love both of those. When I read your post it reminded me of another one of my 80's favorites, "Just One of The Guys". I think that's the title. It's about a high school journalist who goes 'undercover' as a guy at another high school to write a story for her school's newspaper.
