I watched mel gibsons apocalypto. It was really really good! I know he's crazy but the movie was alot better than what I was thinking. If anyone has seen it, you should, it's so beautiful. I tried to watch the ring 2 cause I've not seen it and the dvd wouldn't play.

Obscure but excellent, a Chinese film "The Road Home" is a sure to please love story, but don't expect fight scenes or love triangles, but do expect subtitles. Spider-Man 3 doesn't deserve to be capitalized, so....spiderman III was almost as painful as Michael Scott trying to fire someone!

I went to the movies and saw Hot fuzz, so funny! Only the guys name was nicholas angel. Nearly close to weird guy friend. My friend andera just hit me and said isn't that just a shame. but hot fuzz was funny. So many people going to see spider man 3 and 28 weeks later. I want to see that next.

I liked Hot Fuzz too.
I did see 28 Weeks Later over the weekend... no where near as good as Days. I suppose it had a lot to do with Cillian Murphy - he was so good in Days and totally made the movie. No one really stood out in Weeks - they had a couple kids as the main characters and they were pretty lame.

One of my favorite old movies starring Joan Crawford and Betty Davis. "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane". Betty Davis states the quote in my signature. (Which I hope is working.)
My family is a bunch of very twisted Italians. As we watch the very ending where Jane (Betty Davis) says to Blanche (Joan Crawford) after Blance says:
"You wouldn't be able to do these awful things to me if I wasn't in this chair." we can't help but laugh. And at the end of the movie when Jane is trying to feed Blanche an ice cream cone on the beach and Blance dies we LAUGH and we LAUGH.
The relatives that married into the family are horrified.

Pan's Labyrinth played in 1 small theater here in town. I was away when it showed so I never got to see it.

Pan's Labyrinth- Just a warning, it's violent. Disturbingly violent at time because it's a movie about war. It's not a kid's movie. It's brilliant and wonderful, but sad. The way it is shot, the acting, the visuals are all beautiful...but be warned!
Yeah! Going to get it soon.

information on The Mummy 3:
Maria Bello will replace Rachel Weisz in the third installment of "The Mummy." She joins Brendan Fraser, Luke Ford, Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh in the Rob Cohen-directed film for Universal Pictures. Bello will play Evelyn Carnahan O'Connell, the adventuress played in the first two films by Weisz. After Weisz declined to reprise, Cohen and the studio cast a wide net for a replacement. Scripted by "Smallville" creators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, the film brings the O'Connells and their full-grown son (Ford) to the forbidden tombs of China and the Himalayas, where they battle a shape-shifting mummy, a former Chinese emperor (Li) cursed by a wizard (Yeoh). The first two films grossed more than $830 million worldwide for Universal, which will release the third installment next summer. Sean Daniel, Jim Jacks, Stephen Sommers and Bob Ducsay are producing. Most recently seen in "A History of Violence" and "Flicka," Bello next stars in "The Jane Austen Book Club" for Sony Pictures Classics, and "Butterfly on a Wheel," which Lionsgate will release in August. She's repped by CAA and manager John Carrabino.
Are you kidding me? A Mummy 3? What's with all these sequels? Pirates 3, Spiderman 3, Ocean's 13, Shrek the Third. Most of the time the sequels don't live up to the original (of course Star Wars 4 - 6 are exceptions to this rule). Can't people come up with original movies anymore?
I just saw
Reign Over Me ... oh my lord, that was a good movie! Very sad and touching, but overall an excellent movie. I like Adam Sandler in his kookie (sp?) roles, but he's amazing in serious/dramatic ones. And I love Don Cheadle! Ever since I saw Crash, I have loved him as an actor.

Agreed. That film was a huge piece of crap, along with Epic Movie. Films these days aren't doing very well at spoofing other films. Bleh.
The last film I watched was the 1958 "Houseboat" staring the legendry & gorgeous Cary Grant & Sophia Loren. I rented this film purely for the fact that it had Cary Grant. Anyhoo, I enjoyed it a lot but it's not as good as Cary's other work. His characters children were adorable, especially his daughter. It was heart breaking to see that he struggled to raise them. I kinda understood his anger & frustration, as being a single parent is probably a major challenge. Sophia was good too & her Italian accent is adorable. Also, I thought the woman playing Carolyn Gibson was Grace Kelly at first. I had to do a double take.
Basically it was a cute movie. I'm glad I rented it.

I'm just returning from seeing Spiderman 3.
If you haven't seen it, DON'T!!!!!
If you did see it, I feel your pain.
The beginning is pretty good so when you see it, you think , "Ah, everyone is crazy. This is fine." Then you reach the middle, bout the hour and a half mark, and all Heii breaks loose. I legitemately hate Tobey McGuire and am considering that he is gay. The fact that they tried to make him Spiderman and Topher Grace a villian is absurd. Their good actors. I like them in other stuff. (Tobey in Seabiscuit and Topher in That 70's Show) but these roles don't fit them at all. The ending is a twist.
I'm going to throw up the Milk Duds that made that movie semi-enjoyable.

Did you catch it on VH1? It's on all weekend. The end is pretty cheesy, but gotta love the Duck-"Blane? That's not a name! That's a household appliance!"! Apparently Jon Cryer ad-libbed that line. Sixteen Candles will always be the best John Hughes 80s teen movie to me, hands down. ("I'm not really a farmer, I'm a freshman")

i didnt really like the ending of sixteen candles either, mostly because she mutilated that pretty pink dress her friend gave her. that dress she made was so ugly!! (i'm still upset by this, andi havent seen the movie in six months)
i loved dreamgirls, mostly because i like broadway, and broadway inspired movies, and i love jennifer hudson cause she can sing!
Also, i saw shrek the third last weekend, it was okay. not as good as the first two, but some parts were stilll funny. And of course John was great, though if i didn't already know he was going to be lancelot, i probably wouldn't have recognized him, and he only had, like, five lines.
