^ That's with Audrey Hepburn right? As much as I adore her, I just cannot sit through a film with that length. If I did, I'd watch an hour, than take a break & so on.

I recently watched "Arsenic & Old Lace". Most people wrote off Cary Grant as too hyperactive for his role but I thought that aspect of his acting was perfect! I mean, Mortimer was this guy bent on going fully insane with all those insane events taking place, with his crazy aunts(???) & a brother who looks like Frankenstein. Than there's his wife who can even get his full attention without being brushed off. And of course, the poor taxi driver . Despite all those absurdities the film was hilarious & classic. I just laugh so hard whenever Cary makes that "mmm" or "hmm" sound, like he's done in other films. Another memorable scene is where he chases that guy out of the house, the one who wants to buy it. "Do you want to be poisoned?" "Do you want to die?" And to top it all off, he trips over the chair & yet he's the one with the good intentions. Absolutely hilarious.

my kids watched it a few nights ago and I didnt hear a peep out of them for about 90 minutes........if it wasnt good they would have made a peep

oh yeah the lead girl in it is the girl from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory.....Violet Beauregarde aka spoiled brat

yeah he was not particularly 'do-able' in Charlie

I saw The Fountain tonight. It has Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz. It was pretty awesome, but I won't pretend to know exactly what went down. It seems to leave a lot open to interpretation...or I'm stupid.

Actually Narnia was not an LotR rip-off. J.R.R Tolkien and C.S Lewis were good friends. So it wasn't a ripoff and actually was written about the same time.

Question about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory -

For all the woman that love Johnny Depp (evidently there are millions) - Did you have to put the crush 'on hold' for this movie? Or was he still hot in it?

I genuinely felt bad for him and was close to tears.

Everyone here should see it, if they are true Office fans, go to the theater and buy a ticket. After all, it is Michael Scott.

Umm, okay, I bet you any money that everyone here is going to see License to Wed on July 3 and they won't even see the movie that thier very own Michael Scott is in. Without him, there would be no show.

Sorry but a fan can see and SPEND their money as they see fit if they choose to see any actors movie.

Personally I am waiting for Evan & License to get to the cheapy movie theater since I have to pay for 4 tickets. Unless someone wants to send me $9.00 per person for 4 people times those 2 movies, then sure.

Alot of times I see movies online and when the dvd comes out I spend my $$ there usually on the special editions if available.

I watched The Girl in the Cafe, it's an HBO film and is absofruitly(sorry I couldn't resist!) fabulous! It is a combination of romance, comedy with a strong political message. I've never seen anything like it.

I waited for POTC3 to hit the discount price and still I was hugely disappointed. I actually curled up a few times in pain having to watch keria knightly be the hero. Why?? I find her slack-jawed accent annoying. If you get her and elizabeth hurely into a conversation good luck! It was just too long, not enough depp once again and too much story. Yeah too much story. Then just when I thought they couldn't pound the awfulness in anymore, no they work in attack of the 50 ft woman, who then turns into a gazillion crabs. Atleast in 4 they can't bring in bloom and knightly.

I agree with you 100%, Liz. My husband and I went to see it and thought it was pretty bad. They tried to do way too much with this one - comedy, romance, action, etc. My husband almost threw a fit when they were exchanging vows during a fight... in a whirlpool... it was just ridiculous. We also didn't like how they made Kiera the king/queen of that whole thing and tried to make her seem so powerful. Give me a break . When we left the theater, we both wished we'd seen Shrek 3 instead. .
