All my friends are telling me that it is really awesome. I'm going to have to see it sometime soon. Maybe I'll go this weekend.

He was? I don't remember that either. That movie really wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I guess it's easy to appreciate a movie when you don't have high expectations. unsure.gif

He was Uncle Arthur

I thought Bewitched looked kind of stupid. Was it any good?

I saw Transformers earlier in the week. If you ever watched and liked the cartoon, you should go into the movie with similar expectations. I thought the story was just like and episode of the cartoon, but the effects were just incredible.

I'll see it when it comes out on video. I know I'll miss the huge screen experience, but it's not going to be a "pay a fortune for a babysitter" worthy movie.

It was kinda stupid, although it was better than I thought it was going to be. I ended up getting it for a birthday present the year it came out, and, since I'm running out of my favorite movies, I've been watching a bunch of my older ones the past couple of days.

I just popped in Just Visiting, which was one of my favorites when it came out. Besides, sometimes its nice to watch a good, slapstick style comedy. smile.gif

OKAY, This is big.

Everyone here needs to watch this trailer.

I saw it before Transformers and was freaking out.

J.J. Abrams' Untitled Film

This movie comes out 1-18-08 and has no title. Which makes it all the more interesting.

I just love the way it is shot-documentary-like and like someone has a camcorder recording this.

I am sooooo pumped.

For those who watch Lost, does it remind you of the noises 'the monster' makes?

^^I'd heard about that movie but I hadn't seen the trailer. It actually looks really good!

as of this summer there are no other movies that I wish to see in the first week. But my son is wanting to see The Simpsons Movie the week it comes out. I'll take him but not on the first day. HP is the only 1st day movie worthy of wink.gif

Soo pumped, its not even funny.

My daughter is watching Mary Poppins. I think Julie Andrews looks so, so much better with dark hair.

I just watched Idiocracy last week. While there are parts of it that I thought were very funny, I don't think I'd laugh again during the second viewing. The premise was interesting enough and it does make me think a little about all the things that perpetuates people's stupidity and laziness.

I know I'm late on this one, but we finally saw Pirates 3 yesterday. Whta the he11? It was better than 2, but it was really confusing. And like liz said earlier, Jack was barely in the movie , it seemed. Who cares about Elizabeth? It was 2 hrs, 45 minutes that could have been brought down to 2 hrs easily.

Oh, well, at least we saw it for $8.50 each instead of $11.00!!

I agree that it was better than 2, no doubt.
Yeah, I wanted more of 'you know who' too.
I don't care about Elizabeth, after what she did to Jack in 2, no way!

I don't think anyone has posted this yet- but here is a short trailer for Get Smart. It looks really funny laugh.gif

I'm really interested in seeing Dan in Real Life. I saw the preview for it when I went to see LtW and I thought it looked like a nice heartfelt film. smile.gif
JAM4EVA_1
Both of these Steve movies look funny and cute! Especially Dan. Uhh I don't really like Anne Hathaway.. I don't think she's a very good actress. Soo.. But the movies look awesome!!

Also- I love that beads part! LOL.
JAM4NEVER
haha
both of those movies look great!
I love how Alan Arkin is once again with Steve (LittleMissSunshine)
Dan in Real Life loooks soo adorable!

I am so frigging excited to see The Simpsons film. There's a contest to win a pair of tickets to catch a preview a day before it's released & I got all my family & some friends to enter for me to increase my chances. If I don't end up seeing it early for free, I plan to see it on opening day. I've loved that show since day one so I know it's gonna be good. According to it's page on imdb it'll only run for 87 minutes but honestly, I'd love it if it was 2 hours or longer!

This movie looks cool as ****. I'm gonna be in stitches until it comes out. One of my friends who does watch Lost said the same thing about the monster noises. He thinks it might be connected.

I saw Transformers this afternoon alone. It was AWESOME!!!! 2 and half hrs just flew by. Were those the orginal voices?? They sounded close to me

I rented Miss Potter, Volver, and Black Snake Moan. Problem is, I don't feel like watching them now that I have them. They'll probably sit around for a week until Blockbuster calls and I feel guilted into returning them. Has anyone seen any of these?
rocker creed
It's movie day at work next week!! Harry Potter or Transformers. No work and free admission!

I've already sent out a department wide email asking why anyone would even consider picking the Transformers over Harry Potter.
rocker creed
My email #2 illustrated how Harry Potter exemplifies our corporate values. I am going to be really ****** if Transformers wins....

Hope I won't have to resort to leaving my office and personally lobbying for votes.
