"Much Ado About Nothing" is one of my favorite movies!

I've seen it a million times and I never get tired of it. And your right - Denzel Washington definitely helps!
Emma Thompson was also fabulous in "Sense and Sensibility." Hugh Grant makes this one nice to watch, too!

No problem!
I'm a little skeptical myself. In general I like Topher Grace, but I have trouble seeing him as anything other than Eric on That 70s Show. But judging from trailers, he has Eddie Brock's "look." We'll see if he can pull off the character. I'm placing my trust in Sam Raimi on this one. I don't think he'd pick just anyone to fill that role. He's been good the Spider-man story, so for now I trust his choices.

I loved Daniel Craig in Lara Croft. It was nice that the film-makers did the hot shower scene of his to mirror her hot shower scene (not to mention how hilarious it was when the maid threw the towels at him!). It's not often that there are scenes in movies that are meant specifically for women's pleasure the way that there are scenes in movies that are meant specifically to turn the male audience on.

The other day I went to my friends house and The Sandlot just happened to be on TV. This is one of the best movies ever! We all decided that it was the 7th best movie ever, right after Star Wars Episode I, II, III, IV, V, and VI.

So now, whenever someone says, "Oh, this is like the best movie ever." We just say, "Oh this is like the 7th best movie ever" because Star Wars is automatically implied as being superior.

Yeah- I think I would have to put The Sandlot at least before episode I. That one was just disappointing- I would rather watch IV, V & VI any day over the first 3- even though episode III was a bit better than the first two. I love The Sandlot- one of my favorites!

I saw the second one- it was ok- but obviously nothing is going to be better than the first one- sequels are rarely as good or better (excluding LOTR, Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc...)

Colin Firth is an awesome Mr. Darcy. I think he is fabulous in anything he does! But Matthew McFayden (spelling?) won me over in the 2005 edition, (of course I loved him before in MI-5). If anything, Mr. Darcy is just an amazing character all the way around.
I feel the need to add to our British comedy/chick flick list - Notting Hill is one of my favorite movies! It's on my core movie list. (The core movie list consists of the movies I watch on a rainy day or when I just want to put a good movie on without having to stare at my DVD shelf for an insane amount of time trying to pick out a movie.)

I hate to admit it because it's the genre I usually despise more than any other, but Clueless was a brilliant update of the Emma story. I'm sure it's fun for girls on its own, but it's so much more hilarious if you've read the original.

Top Five film Kevin Smith had something to do with:
Clerks
Donnie Darko (special thanks- sure he did something then)
Good will hunting (co-executive producer)
Mall Rats
Chasing amy / Dogma

Jersey girl (all of it)
DareDevil - Jack Kirby, Forensic Assistant

Kevin had nothing to do with Donnie Darko. He bacame friends with Richard Kelly years after the release and was asked to be on the directors cut commentary.
Kevin will be in Kelly's second film, The Southland Tales.
Best Smith Films:
Chasing Amy
Clerks
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

I just got around to watching Pirates 2 last night. I loved how they found a way to bring everyone back. (I started squealing like a little girl when they did the "reveal" in the last few seconds.)
And can I just say....
Is it just me, or was Norrington (Jack Davenport) just the hottest looking thing in this movie???? I was not expecting that- a total turnaround from the last one. I'm convinced it was in his contract, "If I'm coming back, I'd better look hot." I've never seen any of his other work, so it took me off guard. So much in fact, that in an especially dramatic moment, I said to my husband, "Wow! He is really HOT!!!" To which I got an eye roll, and a "Geez, honey, did you have to ruin the movie like that??!!"
Sorry, girls, I don't get the Orlando Bloom obsession. I really hate pretty boys. I don't even think most guys start to get good looking until they've hit their mid thirties or early forties. I'd much rather go after Aragorn than Legolas.
