I loved how Margit kept calling that guy an ape & that guy got so mad haha. Another good line was when she asked Charles if he takes dope. Myrna was hilarious in the film. I'm still surprised that it only got 2 stars but nonetheless, I could watch it everyday. I still have yet to watch the other 4 films from the 5 set DVD, but it'll be after Libeled Lady.

Your going to love Libeled Lady- that's easily my favorite Loy/Powell movie. I've watched it about 8 times

I can't wait to watch it tonight. Orginally I recorded it when it was on TCM on Thursday but instead I decided to buy it instead. I mean, it's hard to go wrong with William Powell & Myrna Loy. Plus, it got 4 stars so it has to be good. Plus, it said on imdb that if I enjoyed Libeled Lady, I'll also like His Girl Friday, It Happened One Night, The Notebook, Philadelphia Story, which I also enjoyed quite well. They also mentioned The Black Widow, but I never heard of it nor have I watched it.
Ooh, and I finished Gone With the Wind yesterday. I quite liked it but I felt it was too long. Clark Gable was absolutely dreamy though

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a ****."
And finally, some trivia:
Among the many famous actress considered for the part of Scarlett were Jean Arthur, Lucille Ball, Tallulah Bankhead, Bette Davis, Claudette Colbert, Joan Crawford, Paulette Goddard, Katharine Hepburn, Olivia de Havilland, Carole Lombard, Norma Shearer, Barbara Stanwyck, and Margaret Sullavan. Bankhead (an authentic "Southern Belle" from Alabama) was the clear front-runner, but her unsavory personal life made producers reluctant to hire her.
Of all the actresses considered for the role, Louise Platt, Tallulah Bankhead, Linda Watkins, Adele Longmire, Haila Stoddard, Susan Hayward, Dorothy Mathews, Brenda Marshall, Paulette Goddard, Anita Louise, Margaret Tallichet, Frances Dee, Nancy Coleman, Marcella Martin, Lana Turner, Diana Barrymore, Jean Arthur, Joan Bennett and Vivien Leigh were tested for the role of Scarlett O'Hara.
I couldn't picture Lucille Ball doing that role. Whenever I think of her, "I Love Lucy" & "The Lucy Show" pops into my mind. I think she's a comedic actress but still very good.
