I heard about that! Zac Efron is playing Ren. Should be interesting. I actually saw Footloose for the first time last week because thats what our musical is going to be this year. Its totally different though since the musical version has, shocker, a lot of more songs haha. I'm debating on whether or not to try out for a lead.

Another good movie is The Natural with Robert Redford and Glenn Close. Robert looks amazing. Sorry you're not doing so well, black cat. sad.gif

I never saw Diner, but I hated An Officer and a Gentleman. I hated Pretty Woman too - a hooker hooks a man. Yeah, right. dry.gif

One of my favorite movies ever is Eddie and the Cruisers. Great music, good story. Streets of Fire is another one with good music; it's a little dark but funny at times. Rick Moranis is fabulous as a buffoon in that one. Ooooh, and Adventures in Babysitting. No matter how many times I watch it, I still laugh.

I have to admit, after getting dumped by my girlfriend (the one I drove to Wisconsin to see) dating became 'all about me'. I stayed up to watch some of the extras on the starwars dvd, not that great.

I didn't see the Fly on the list? that was a cool movie then. remember Beetlejuice too?

No, don't feel like a jerk!! What you did was on such a small scale compared to what was going on with me. The ex just wasn't "interested" and instead of being a man and saying so, orbreaking up with me, he was insistent on using visual aids in order to help the process along. At first I thought it was fun and daring, then I realized that his eyes were on the screen the whole time and never on me. Not the greatest thing for the self-esteem. Like I said, there's a good reason he is my ex. You were just being a silly teenager--I shouldn't have even said anything--I'm not in a good mood today, sorry! And, this is the movie thread, so let me try to recover it:

Brad Pitt

I have not been a big fan of all of his movies, but Legends of the Fall is one of my favorite movies. He looks SO hot in that movie, and the scene when he is fighting with his brother and he says something like, "I will forgive you that once because you are my brother. ONCE!"--I love that scene. And I didn't see Troy, but I saw a pic of him with no shirt on in that and he looked awesome, too. Wait, that's not really movie related, is it?

The Wedding Singer is my favorite movie--it is just too sweet and funny! And on the opposite note, I will NEVER watch My Girl again because I cannot ever see that scene again when she cries over Thomas Jay's coffin. It would kill me. I have never cried so hard at a movie in my life.

That's terrible Wedd! That guy is a total jerk for doing that to a nice person like you!

I have an amusing Brad Pitt in Troy story. The singer for my band is very much like Micheal Scott, complete with the man-crushes. laugh.gif He saw some pre-production photos from Troy and got very excited.

Singer - "We need to write a song about this!"
Me - "We're not recording a 'Brad Pitt' song on this album"
Singer - "How about a song about Achilles?"
Me - "That's ok"

Despite this clarification, the song became known as the 'Brad Pitt' song during the album recording. So we record the song and it actually is a really cool song. I only glance at the lyrics and they seem to be about Achilles.

It turned out that the lyrics were not exactly about Achilles, but rather that movie version, complete with some bad historical accuracies. So guess who does the interviews? ME! mad.gif So I deal with a barrage of questions about why we are basing lyrics on Brad Pitt characters!

I had my first boyfriend when I was 11. We started "going together" the day Prince Charles and Princess Diana got married. Wait, that means I was 10...anyway, in "going together" for a year, all I got was one lousy kiss on the cheek! I also had some dry spells because of my height, but eventually had to get over it. Hubby's an inch shorter than I am.

My first date movie (well, the first with someone I actually LIKED) was Fatal Attraction. He kept apologizing to me after it was over. "Sorry about the boobs. Sorry about the sex. Sorry about the boiled bunny." I thought he was a genius for taking me because I kept clinging to him and burying my head in his shoulder--I thought that was the point!

I watched The Thin Red Line yesterday, really just to see Nick Stahl (who has a small role in which he dies). But it was an ok movie, very well shot just a little to poetic. And I found out that John Savage (who plays Nick Stahl's character in Carnivale's father), so that was cool smile.gif.

Tonight I have a few movies planed. Re-watching A Very Long Engagement (in french), it's a fabulous movie, and The Danish Poet, a short (15 minutes) film, and maybe the third disc of this collections of the first movies ever made, which is really cool to watch--at least for movie buffs or those who like the late 1800s and early 1900s (like me happy.gif).

Well, I watched The Danish Poet and it is marvelous! Super cute short film (only 15 minutes) you HAVE to see! Then I went from super cute and heart warming to totally depressing but brilliant 21 Grams (with Clea DuVall, who plays in Carnivale--she is brilliant). The other movies will have to wait till tomorrow. I was thinking I'd rent Girl Interrupted (Clea DuVall plays in that too) so maybe I'll watch that tomorrow or this weekend, has anyone seen it? One of my favorite movies ever is Eddie and the Cruisers. Great music, good story. Streets of Fire is another one with good music; it's a little dark but funny at times. Rick Moranis is fabulous as a buffoon in that one. Ooooh, and Adventures in Babysitting. No matter how many times I watch it, I still laugh.

OMG, I love the Natural. Robert is really good in that film and there is waaaay more that that movie than baseball. The end makes me soo happy! And yes, he does look fantastic!

I will review 'Blades of Glory' by re-enacting a conversation with actor Jon Heder and his agent

Agent - "What did you think of the script?"
Jon Heder - "It was pretty good"
Agent - "1 million?"
Jon Heder - "So they're offering me 1 million dollars?"
Agent - "No, you have to pay 1 million dollars"
Jon Heder - "WTF?"
Agent - "You get to make out with Jenna Fisher"
Jon Heder - "Keep talking.."
Agent - "Her role and look is very Pam-like"
Jon Heder - "Get my checkbook"

Funny and amazing film!!!
Carnivale_HBO
I rented Girl, Interrupted yesterday (because Clea DuVall, who plays in Carnivale, is in it) and it's a fabulous movie! The cast was amazing too, they all did such a brilliant job! And the editing and cinematography are great too! And the day before that I watched 21 grams (also with Clea DuVall) which is also fantastic. And The Danish Poet, which supper cute and heart warming.
