Oh so glad to find gals who know who the real hunk of Lord of The Rings is!! I love Mortenson. Anyone see his turn in the remake of A Perfect Murder with Gwenyth Paltrow and Michael Douglas?! Smokin!
I feel bad for Commodor Norrington - always have ever since the first time I saw Pirates/Black Pearl. It's so not fair for him. Though considering how flighty Kiera's character is (I love Will and am going to marry him! Ooooh I want to sail the seas with sexy Jack!), maybe the Commodor is lucky he got untangled from her when he did (*****!)

Yeah, that whole plot twist was super annoying. I mean, would it be so bad for a movie to exist without a love triangle?

I saw him (pun intended) in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre part 3. Renee Zellweger and Matthew McConaughey were in part 4, but I wouldn't recommend it. I don't know what Kim Henkel was thinking... dumb movie.

I'm a LOTR freak, so I agree... Aragorn is the best character, and it's because of Viggo. They almost didn't cast him, he filled in at the last minute when Peter Jackson decided that casting Stuart Townsend (Charlize Theron's boyfriend) was a bad idea because he was too young. Can you imagine LOTR with a different Aragorn?

Epic Movie looks pretty bad, too.

How is Snakes on a Plane epic? Where are the Star Wars and LOTR jokes?
Yeah, really. Looks like another missed opportunity.
I know that Hot Shots and Naked Gun and Men in Tights aren't high caliber movies- but those seem like Oscar winners (OK, maybe not. hehe) compared to what passes as a "spoof," these days.

Im starting to think the spoof doesnt really exsist anymore. They have lost something since airplane. Naked gun was funny and hot shots was cool, but it was years before another came out that was really funny. They only spoofs i like now of days were the first scary movie, tales from the hood, and dont be a menace in south central. But there will never be again, another airplane, or the early mel brooks types. To this day i never get tired of watching blazing saddles. Too much is crammed into a movie and there is no story or anything its like one huge long mtv music video..lol oh wait those dont exsist either anymorelol

Is it just me, or was Norrington (Jack Davenport) just the hottest looking thing in this movie?
I'd love to weigh in on how

dreamy

Jack Davenport is.
Since I haven't seen Pirates 2, I just checked a couple of stills from IMDB. That's a huge departure from the Davenport that I know. Are there any women that become that much better looking when you throw some dirt on them?
In Coupling, his defense of Lesbian Spank Inferno was more moving than Gayle Sayers' speech at the end of Brian's Song. It takes a talented actor to do that.
I'm going to have to belt out some heavily hetero posts tonight, to wash this one down.

I just watched the whole series of Coupling (thanks Netflix) so I know him. And....
I can't believe that was the same guy!!!! I would never have made that connection. OK, maybe I would, when I get Pirates 2 on DVD. But when watching Coupling, I never thought "do I know that guy from somewhere."

Yeah I know. I mean, I generally dislike a lot of "geeky" things, like Star Wars, Star Trek and most Comic books, but I have to admit that LOTR are probably the best movies I've ever seen. Peter Jackson is the best filmaker alive.

The Zodiac killer would probably be closer to 60's and 70's actually. It's been exactly forty years since his first communication with authorities and the original profile placed him in his late 20's - early 30's.
