Just watched this, too. Not crazy about it, but then again, I didn't want to watch it. The 5 year old and the 36 year old wanted to!

1408, sucked! What a disappointment it truly was

I just watched Manhattan Melodrama and LOVED it! It's sadder than The Thin Man movies, but still sweet! And they are SO cute together wub.gif!

Check THIS video out, it's an homage to Myrna Loy with Tommy Dorsey's "It's Always You"--which I posted on Jam Therapy as a prefect Jam song (I have it on a 78 record for my gramophone happy.gif). She was so pretty when she was young in the '20s and early '30s and then she grew into such a gorgeous woman! I absolutely love her, she's fantastic!

Then I want to finish the Myrna Loy/William Powell collection, you've turned me into an addict! I just love those two biggrin.gif wub.gif! I want a dog like Asta just so I can call him Asta laugh.gif! I keep on seeing them everywhere and I always say "Oh, look an Asta dog!" laugh.gif!

I watched transformers last night. Hugo weaving is awesome as the voice of megatron. And I didn't realize this, but isn't the voice of jazz the same guy who played the older brother on family matters??

I finished watching the desecnt. it was wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. Not as gruesome as it says but still gives you a good scare

I saw '28 Weeks Later' this weekend. It was kind of gross. And it was depressing.

I *love* that film! It's one of my all time favourites. The most memorable scene was when both Jimmy Stewart & Katharine Hepburn's characters were drunk, & Jimmy's character carries Katharine's back to her room rolling.gif. What a great cast, with Jimmy, Katharine & Cary Grant.

bubblewrap is right, you'll *love* Bringing Up Baby. IMO, it was the best film that Cary & Katharine did together. In films, it's normally the male who persues the character but in this one, Susan (Katharine) is chasing David (Cary) which is believable considering how charming & attractive Cary is in the film wub.gif. It's filled with many classic scenes & lines that will have you doubled over from laughing too much.

And some trivia regarding BUB. Carole Lombard was the original choice for the character of Susan Vance & as much as I adore Carole, that role was designed for Katharine, who was an absolute riot rolling.gif. Ooh, and Asta the dog is featured in the film, but with a different name naturally. You can also catch him in The Awful Truth, which is a classic screwball like BUB & a must see!

Tonight I will finish up Charade, which is another good one. It stars Cary Grant (of course heehee) & the legendry Audrey Hepburn, who were made for each other in the film.

Charade is a good film. For you B&W junkies, watch Love in the Afternoon.

Everyone else, watch My Neighbor Totoro. Or Sneakers. biggrin.gif

OH! How about the iron man live action movie coming out?
Thunder cats being CGI will be ok but it would be nice for it to be live action
Although Voltron being live action if done right is going to rock...

I just watched Bringing Up Baby and I love it biggrin.gif! It's absolutely HILARIOUS rolling.gif rolling.gif! I loved that Asta was in it! It reminded me of Curb Your Enthusiasm type of humor. I've seen more than my fair share of scary b movies. If there are scary C movies, then I have seen too many of those also. When I was younger I didn't mind wasting time watching bad scary movies, now I don't have the time to sacrifice.
PaxLux
I avoid scary movies like the plague.

I am excited to see Michael Clayton. Has anyone seen it?

hostel 2 a huge let down. Only good part it's picks up after the second one with the guy who escaped but after that it's pretty much dull.

I thought it was so funny that I saw his name up there. The family matters guy laugh.gif

Oh New#2 you have to admit that b movies are a good pick me up sometimes. I have a brillant new awful movie...Zombie Ninja Gangbangers. It's as bad as the title sounds. And there is also a little bad movie out there called Poultrygeist:Night of the chicken dead. It's even better. laugh.gif

Hostel 2 was disappointing.

Liz, I love horror movies, but after reading those titles, you couldn't pay me to watch them. laugh.gif
As a kid, I remember watching "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" on TV.

Wow- I just finished Part 1 of The House of Eliott and I loved it!! I actually didn't think I was going to at first because it has that (what I call) "soap opera" look to it like a lot of late 70's-early 90's British shows have. But it is excellent! I can't wait to watch the rest of it smile.gif

Saw Dan in Real Life today--it was very good--a very sweet movie. Steve Carell was really good and he had one scene that just was so emotional and revealing--he really pulled it off and I was very impressed.

It was funny though, at one point his character was talking about wanting to be a magiciam when he was younger and it made me think of Michael buying his magic kits!!

I'm glad to hear it was good! I really want to see it. Steve usually makes his characters so accessible and realisitic. "Dan" seems really sweet, and just like a normal, down to earth guy going through normal everyday things. He truly is a great actor.
JAM4NEVER
Dan In Real Life was wonderful. I loved it. Steve was amazing, so real. I felt for him the whole movie, he really pulled that character off. I saw a little Michael Scott at some parts, but, he did a great job of hiding that part of him. Definitely a movie worth watching. It was hilarious, sad, and comforting.
Bailey08
I finally watched Reign Over Me today. (It's been sitting on my desk for weeks, besides the fact that it's been out for awhile, and I'm supposed to be a B.J. fan) Very sad, but good.

Oh, B.J. He looked 5! Especially when he was standing next to the witness stand, with that haircut, in that suit. I didn't buy him as a lawyer. But, I still love. LOL.
PBandJAM
I saw "Dan In Real Life" yesterday. I thoroghly enjoyed it. I thought it was just enough of a stretch for Steve. He was sort of a Michael...minus the stupidity and off color comments. I would recommend it to anyone who likes romantic comedies and Steve.
