Just watched Hotel Rawanda. OMG. The things people will do to each other and for each other.

I watched "Goal!" yesterday. First off, I love nearly every sports themed movie out there, so I trusted I would like it. It was good, but quite overly dramatic and sappy at times. And I had thought that it was a true story when I rented it, and it wasn't until things started to seem rather contrived that I looked it up online and saw that it wasn't. Major bummer! Oh well, it was okay, and it killed an afternoon for me, which is sometimes all I really care about anyway!

I just watched one of my favorite movies again yesterday. It's french, but it has subtitles. Its called "he loves me he loves me not". The lead role is played by audrey tatuo, and she is amazing. she's had so many good french movies, but she was also just in the davinci code. But anyway, he loves me he loves me not is one of those movies where you see the whole thing from the girls point of view, then it rewinds, and you see it from the guys point of view. and you realize everything you thought you saw in the first half was totally misunderstood. and the ending is chilling. it is sooooooo good. go rent it.
Fancy_New_Becca

I haven't been able to take that guy seriously since "Ned and Stacey."
Since I know how much you love him... Go check out Sideways. He has a nude scene in it. You'd love it.

It actually is a great movie though.

That's that hooligan movie. Did it ever come out on video? I've been waiting for it.

Hold on...

Wow! It came out on video last June. That totally flew under my radar. I don't remember ever seeing an ad or a display at the video store for it.

Warning: Rated R for brutal violence, pervasive language and some drug use.

Don't be a tease, Diapers. It's just the back of him, isn't it?

I thought the Illusionist was kick ***. One of the best movies I've seen in awhile.
Bailey08
The only nude guy I remember in Sideways was the one that was running after the car. When was Thomas Hayden Church naked?

I think Paul Giamatti's character walked in on him in the motel room. It's been a while since I've seen it.

I don't remember that, it's been awhile for me too.

I do remember the naked guy running down the street though. Wish I could forget....

We're not talking about him being nude. We're talking about THC.

Oops Misread but yeah THC was but I don't think they showed anything.

The guy running after him however...

I'm totally kidding. It's a dark room and he has a hand down there. They do make a big deal on the commentary track that he refused to wear the little black pouch.

I heard he demanded a Crown Royal bag, but it ruined the first take.

We have our little black dresses.

My daughter and one of her friends are in the other room watching a "Saw" marathon.

Ew. Who's going to have the nightmares?

Your daughter has pretty bad taste in horror movies. I mean, you've got Dawn of the Dead and Evil Dead 2 on one end of the spectrum. On the other, you have... Saw.

Evil Dead 2 is incredibly dissapointing. No tree raping and fueding with your miniature duplicates? CMON. Oh well... anywho, Stroszek and Ravenous are probabably the greatest movies of ALL time. That i've seen.

I don't watch too many horror movies. I think the last one was The Ring. What are your thoughts? By the time that little girl climbed up out of the well at the end, I was LMAO. Did I miss the point?

It had it's moments, the little girl was very creepy, but I couldn't follow the plot. Also, didn't the little boy call his mom by her first name? For some reason I found that very offputting *shrugs*

I have no thoughts, as I have never seen The Ring. It just never made it that high on my list.

You make a good point, Whimper. An Evil Dead movie without a good ol' fashioned tree raping is like a Sunday without church. I keep waiting for Sam Raimi to use that again in one of his Spider-Man movies, but he's let me down so far.

Just rented the Illusionist, but I don't know if it could be better than The Prestige, cause that was amazing and unpredictable.

Anybody seen any movies in the theater lately?

Question:

Does anyone know what song is playing in the background of the Catch and Release trailer?

It goes something like this....

"Dadada deeeeeeeee, da da da deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,(high pitched) (dadaddadaadada) softer.

Anyone?

Umm I was totally wondering that too! Everytime I see that commercial I think "man, I love this song! what the h*ll is it called??" We ARE the same person and it freaks me out. Oh and it might be because I'm a chick and looove chick flicks, but I want to see Catch and Release so bad! I love Jennifer Garner (from Alias to 13 going on 30) and I think it looks cute. But again, I'm a chick flick fanatic

Hey that kinda rhymed!

OKay I'll go.
fleece_it_out
omg, i loved 13 going on 30. it was the sweetest movie ever. And the ending rocked.

It is wonderful. I've been raving to everyone about it since I saw it.

It's disturbing, violent, but beautiful and brilliant.
