The cardinals pulled off an amazing victory last night in order to get to the World Series. Now that we know who is playing in the series, who do you guys want to win? I'm from St. Louis so obviously I want the Cards. Please Vote!
dwights_workspace

I don't like soccer

Wow that's a deadly statement to me- anyway this poll is about baseball- not soccer-lol tongue.gif - did you think it said "World Cup"- because thats for soccer- the "World Series" is for baseball
I had to go with the Tigers- they went from being the one of the worst teams to the best this season- I am really hoping they win- either way its going to be a great game biggrin.gif

Scranton is for lovers
I live about 15 miles North of Detroit, so for me the obvious answer is -Detroit Tigers!!!! biggrin.gif - I think it will be a 5 game series. And oh boy is it going to be cold Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is also calling for rain. And Sunday a high of 40!!! Go Tigers!!

Tigers. I'm from Michigan and playoffs or The World Series are usually the only reasons I care.

I'm originally from the Detroit area, and have been a fan through thick and thin (mostly thin), and this has been a GREAT year.

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!
LikeSecondDrink
BOO to all you Tiger fans!
I'm from the STL, and I'm PROUD to be a CARDINALS FAN!!!
The game, however, did not interrupt my faithful viewing of The Office... smile.gif It's all a matter of priority.
mambo_no_5
TIGERS ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!

I'm a Michigander, born and raised (not telling where in Michigan in case any of you are secretly stalkers), and I've been a Tiger fan my whole life. Through the good, and the bad (and the bad and the bad...), I've supported them. DE-TROIT BASEBALL! Haha, a little harder than basketball.
Jayman
Cardinals, sorry tigers fans, you guys will probably win but i cant root for you since im a die hard White sox fan
pam-pong
Detroit in 5...if the series doesn't get snowed out. wink.gif
ChimpBeggin4Life
Red Sox. Die hard fan right here.

But if I had to pickk.... Tigers. I loved the way that they threw champagne over the fans and like partied with the fans and stuff. When people do stuff like that it makes me want to be a fan. smile.gif

Alex_R.
Im from Chicago and a big Cubs fan. So I would have to say Detroit in 4!!
JAM4EVA_1
Tigers are definitely going to win! I love Sean Casey!!!! smile.gif
Jim_Started_My_Fire
I hope the Tigers win for a number of reasons...

First of all, I LOVE Sean Casey b/c I live in Cincinnati and he was with us for a while...he was a great guy.

Second (Yes, Toby, second), it would be really cool to see them go from being a terrible team in 2003 to a 71-91 team last year (I think those were the numbers I heard) to being World Champs this year!

However, at the time I'm writing this, the Cardinals are winning 7-1...

And then again, being from Cincy, the Cardinals winning would be a team from the N.L. Central...

But I digress, GO TIGERS! biggrin.gif

Wow. Either you're an Extreme Moron or just not very funny.

Jim Leyland is coaching the Tigers. He's done a great job in his career bringing back lagging teams. Plus, he still lives in Pittsburgh(I think). smile.gif That's why I voted for the Tigers.

I think that last night was just a wake up call for the Tigers. After a week of rest, I don't know if they were quite prepared last night. They'll be better today. I just know it.

I wanted to cry last night though...seriousley.

What do you expect? I'm in Clinton Township. I may not follow baseball (unlike the Pistons or the Lions),

Even if The D did get its collective butt handed to them by the Cards last night. sad.gif

I"m so torn between both teams!!

i love both managers and have respect for many of the players on both teams!

As long as the tigers pitching get hot they can shut down pujols and the cards bats. I think this is going to be like the yanks/tigers series where the tigers lost the first then sweep. Go tigers.

Oh, and Pam's hot.

Hate to say I told you so but.....

Kenny Rogers did an amazing job pitching last night. And I agree with dodgerblue about shutting down Pujols. Man I hate that guy.

I was just kidding. Not a fan of baseball the past 5 years. But, being from Toledo I'd like to see the Tigers. Living in Cincy the last 8 years, I really like Sean Casey and think it's great he's in Series.

Whatever was on Rogers' hand was gone by the second inning, and he waxed the Cards for another 6. He was just on fire, gloop or no gloop.

Oh god, you're one of those people trying to blame the Cardinals loss on an "unknown substance" on Roger's palm? Face it. You lost. Woohoo. Get over it. All you people are just making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Yall ready for the game tonight?

Well lets take a look at the score of the first two games, shall we? 7-2. Wow! We whooped your butt! Second game, 3-1. And we were so close to winning! You have absolutly NOTHING to brag about! Besides, games in St. Louis tonight. Our new stadium is gonna be the lucky charm!

He had it in other games too. and....

He wears a hat that has a dark underbrim. Why you may ask? Could it be so that when he touches said hat, the residue of illegal subtances, such as pine tar, does not show?

The prosecution rests.
