Yikes! I'm a HUGE Bengals fan, but I really don't hate the Steelers as much as the rest of Cincy b/c I respect the Steelers, even though Kimo basically almost ended Carson's career. But Carson's sweet, so he's recovered and amazing right now... I'm a Bengals fan b/c I've grown up in Cincy, and I love football (and yes, I am a girl.)
I also love the Chi-town Cubbies. Reason - My mom grew up near Chicago and I fell in love with the Cubs the moment I set eyes on Wrigley Field. The whole tradition and camaraderie and beauty of everything really made an impression on me. And needless to say, it's not like I'm a fair-weather fan either, b/c let's just say it's been storming at Wrigely for a while. But I love my Cubbies...
I just love sports in general...

Alright my love for sports is like Michael's for Ryan.
Baseball- Philly Phillies gotta rep the home town team
NBA- Dallas Mavericks- jumped on that wagon before they were good. back in the steve nash, michael finley, dirk days
NFL- the Iggles.
College Basketball- Gonzaga- I live for the Zags. My life wouldn't be complete wothout them. I'm obsessed. It's getting scary. They don't have a football team so...
College Football- recently became an Iowa fan. All my freinds are die hard college football junkies so I took suggestions and picked the Hawkeyes as my team.
NHL- Wait hockey started again.....?
Golf- Love Golf, Tiger's my boy.

so, yeah, soccer does not suck. it's a sport like any other. You have to be in fantastic shape just to play, and it's really not boring. If you look at how they move the ball around and some of the goals they score... it's actually really awesome. My favorite sports team overall is the Irish international rules football team, followed closely by the Australian team.
Next are the Sydney Swans in Australian football, County Kerry in Gaelic football, and the Wallabies (Australian national team) and Ireland in rugby union. Then we finally get to the country I'm actually from, and the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Eskimos.
Yep, I'm unusual. But Australia and Ireland just have better sports.

Magic had Larry. Larry had Magic. They both had Isiah and the Pistons.
Wilt had Russell and they changed the rules for him, without Wilt, Jordan would be playing a different game. Russell had Wilt and 11 rings.
Jordan had Pippen who doesn't get enough credit. He was great. Rodman was crazy enough to do Jordan's dirty work. He also had Phil Jackson.

Nude hockey? I'd rather see nude soccer.
Baseball: Eh. Not really into any teams. I was excited when the Red Sox won, but that was the last time I was very interested in baseball.
Football: Packers. You can take the girl out of Wisconsin, but you can't make her stop drinking or liking the Packers. No matter how craptastic they are this year. (But we beat Detroit! And Miami! Woo?)
Hockey: I love Atlanta Thrashers games. I don't know much about hockey, but I know that my company gives me our box seats at Philipps for free sometimes, which is always fun. The worse they do, the more free tickets I get, since our customers don't want them. But, the tickets are actually getting pretty scarce.
Basketball: Yuck. (NBA, I mean) I love March, but don't have a favorite college team. I always root for Wisconsin, but I can't help it.
Soccer: My brother has forced ManU on all of us and I'm starting to dig them. I'm hoping work takes me overseas soon so I can try and catch a game.

OK, here is the source of most of my joy and most of my pain:
Born in Tallahassee while my Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle and the woman who would eventually become my Aunt were all attending Florida State. Because of me, Mom and Dad had to drop out and get jobs and all that but Grandpa got his Masters and Uncle his Bachelors. (He didn't marry Aunt until many years later but that's where they met.) SO for college Football, I am a born Seminole.
Because of the whole not getting his degree thing, Dad moved around a lot chasing the jobs and one of those places was Florence, Kentucky - right across the river from Cincinatti. The first baseball game I ever saw was when my dad took me to see the Reds. Didn't understand what was going on but I got a bat with Bobby Tolan's name on it and I was with my dad and we had hot dogs so it was all good. Had a soft spot for Cincy ever since. I couldn't have been more than 5 or 6. I am told that Pete Rose and Johnny Bench lived in the same apartments we did but I don't know it to be true. It was before they were really famous at any rate - late 60s early 70s.
We ended up in Dallas, TX when I was in 3rd grade. Dad took me to Rangers games and Cowboys games. Saw Roger Staubach come from behind (again!) to beat the Eagles one time. I saw Barry's dad Bobby Bonds hit back to back 3 run home runs one time. Froze my freeeeekin butt cheeks off watching the Rams beat my Cowboys one time. Didn't care for that. Lots more baseball games than football - seats were cheaper. But the hot dogs were still aces.
Been a die hard Rangers and Cowboys fan ever since. It kills me that I moved away from Dallas before my all time favorite baseball player, Nolan Ryan, pitched for the Rangers. But I did get to see Staubach and Tony Dorsett, and Hollywood Henderson and Golden Richards and The Two Pearsons, Drew and Preston (Unrelated to each other, I believe) and Toby Harrah and Sunny Jim Sundberg and Bobby Bonds and others play.
So I'm a Cowboys, Rangers, Reds and FSU fan. The best thanksgiving ever was a few years back when I drove up to Dad's in North Carolina and we wailed and gnashed our teeth as the Gators whipped our butts for 2 quarters and then cheered and cried tears of joy (and mimosas) as we came back from 31 points down to tie the game in the final seconds. Turns out that was the last game I ever got to watch with dad. We just never got together again at the right time for game watching.
People, don't waste game watching opportunities.

I don't even care how dumb he is (but those quotes were awfully funny) as long as Kitna keeps throwing TD passes to him. I concentrated on RB and WR in my Fantasy drafts and had pretty slim pickins in the later rounds when I went QB shopping. Kitna is my man. Not putting up McNabb or Peyton numbers but he isn't killing me either. I'm 6-1 and in sole possession of first place in my money league and 50 points ahead of my nearest competitor in my points only for-fun league.
And, while the only thing I know about Wisconsin is Laverne and Shirley lived there, speaking as a fan of the game, how can ya not love Brett Favre? That man ain't got no quit in him. Another non-Dallas player I have much respect for is LaDainian Tomlinson. I wish some players on my favorite and other teams would pay attention to how he acts. Unselfishly doing his job. I read a Sports Illustrated interview with him a few years back and I think he just embodies what professional sports should be.
