Annie Parisse was a good actress on Law and order from Season 15 through season 16 portraying Alexandra Borgia. But in the Season 16 finale, her character was killed off and the actress quit Law and Order amid rumors of the show's cancellation, however, the show was renewed for a 17th season. I found it so scary watching the May 2006 season finale that I nearly cried, the recent ADA's have been on Law and Order for at least 2 or 3 years before pursuing other projects? why do they keep switching ADA's on the show?

I found it so sad to watch Annie Parisse leave law and order after she was just seen through 33 episodes but, hey, at least the show will not be cancelled now that there's new faces on the show, right? Alexandra Borgia was a pretty **** good ADA, but if she had not been murdered on the season 16 finale, she could have stayed on the show just a little longer.

Connie Rubirosa joined Law and Order at the beginning of season 17 and she has a strong bond with Jack McCoy throughout the current season. But in the next episode, Deadlock, the detectives will be focusing on catching a mass murderer who killed religious school girls and then having him sent to prison for the rest of his life. I think Connie rocks on this show, don't you guys think so?
i_am_leech
I don't like new ada at all. She always makes those compassionate looks...or it's just the last episode that rocked me off
JimC39
I wonder why they have had so many ADAs! Is Waterston that hard to get along with?
i_am_leech
they are young actors and thay are moving on fast. it's not Friends...
L&Owhore
I agree. Just like the revolving door of junior detectives, they are young actors and I don't think they are meant to be permanent. There seems to be a certain amount of time there are given and then they are cycled out. I like it. If you like someone it's long enough that you are left wanting more and they don't grow old. If you don't like someone you don't have to wait too long for a new flavor!!

Also, bringing in new characters means new view points get to be shown. The same case will be handled differently and raise different thought provoking questions when it is worked by McCoy and Robinette, than when it is worked by McCoy and Kinkaid.
llao149992
It does give you a different point of view with each one. I think the young actors thing is true. They all leave to go on to bigger things, or so is the plan. And 14 hour days 5 days a week 9 to 10 months a year can be a grind. Not much time to persue other projects.

As long as they can act and play off of Sam it's ok. A little eye candy for the boys doesn't hurt my feelings either. Probably makes the day go a little easier for Sam and Fred as well. smile.gif
Jack_McCoy
If Sam Waterston goes away, you can say goodbye to Law and Order, without him the series does not any more take place to be, there are one of pillar of the series.
As for Sam it is all the opposite of your description. mad.gif It is a man full of sensibility and kindness rolleyes.gif
SamRules
I liked Elizabeth Rohm. The only ADA's I didn't care for were Annie Parisse and the current one. Nothing against Annie but she played a hooker on an earlier episode of L&O and I could never get that image out of my head.

Sam Rules. In my opinion there would be no L&O without him. I loved his last line on last nights show, telling the new ADA that he sleeps like a baby. I do not like the funky hats they have Jack McCoy wearing. It makes him look like my grandfather.
ninjabear
No one from the pilot is still on the show.
No one from the first season is still on the show.
The magnificent thing about L&O is the cast turnover, which I believe helps keep the show fresh and interesting.
If Mr. Waterston chooses to leave (or would sadly pass away) there would be a new executive DA to take his place. I have a few theories on who that might be but I am a fan, of Sam I am.

Don't much care for the new ADA but you can't really go by me on this one, 'cuz skinny girls don't do it for me. The character is preferable to ADA Borja, who seemed to favor executing the mentally ill---anyone else remember that episode?
I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder a long time ago. That's bad enough but disphoric mania's a nightmare to live with for patient, family and friends.
I struggle with dark and self-destructive thoughts on a daily basis; the thought that someone would take advantage of a moment of weakness to bump me off is bad enough but Alex Borja, one charged with punishing criminals, condoned such a murderous act literally had me screaming!

Thank the Great Bird that Jack had my back!

I know, I know. No one liked Elizabeth Rohm, but she was a lot better than Angie Harmon who walked like a man with a corn cob stuck up her back side.

Hmm sorry but I disagree, I really liked Elizabeth Rohm in the show, and I kinda skipped the show after Borja's arrival. And I had some trouble with her colorful outfits ! lol
Well for me my fav assistant ADA would always be:
- Serena Southerlyn: just loved her querels with Branch tongue.gif
- Abbie Carmichael: what a killer-look blink.gif

I'm not that L&W would end if McCoy left, it always depends on how the new character is brought up, and the talent of the actor/actress.
I'd love to see a female ADA and a male assistant ADA, I'm kinda tired of the female assistants changing every two seasons.

As for Connie Rubirosa, will have to wait until september here in France since the episode where Borja is killed was aired two days ago.

Alana De La Garza returns to the esteemed cast of NBC's Emmy Award-winning series "Law & Order," now entering its 18th season. De La Garza reprises her role as the Assistant District Attorney Connie Rubirosa.

De La Garza was seen on "CSI: Miami" as the wife of police officer Horatio Caine (David Caruso) and on the series "The Book of Daniel."

Born in Columbus, Ohio, to a Mexican-American father and an Irish-American mother, De La Garza relocated to Texas as a child, where she ultimately attended the University of Texas to pursue a career in physical therapy. She then moved to Orlando and landed roles in a series of local independent films and worldwide commercials. Her passion for acting soon took her to New York, where she studied extensively under the renowned acting instructor Joanna Beckson, who is a founding member of the Circle Repertory Company. Soon after, she got her first break playing Rosa Santos on the daytime drama "All My Children."

De La Garza then moved to Los Angeles and quickly landed a series of guest-starring roles on "JAG," NBC's "Las Vegas," and "Two and a Half Men." She was then cast as a series lead on "The Mountain," and has also had guest-starring turns on "Smallville" and "Charmed."

De La Garza's film credits include the 2006 romantic comedy "Mr. Fix It" opposite David Boreanaz.

yes and i like them both, but first jamie (carey lowel) then de la graza- i wish they bring back jamie and detective Nina Cassady (Milena Govich)

I don't mind Connie so much, but I think that she needs to show a bit more personallity.
I_Love_Serena
I think Rubirosa is great!
Habsfan24
I thikn Connie is OK. Sam Waterston makes this show. I love the guy. He cracks me up!

But in the 17 years i've been watching this show, my favorite character by far was Lennie Briscoe!
Teri27
I think Connie is a great character and see a love triange forming between her, Lupo, and Cutter. That would make for interesting TV.
DoctorZom
Boy she is just a darn beautiful woman. And she certainly wears clothing that shows off her amazing figure. I think she has a body like Carey that is for sure. I like her and think she is a pretty good addition to the show.

In my opinion the addtion of the most beautiful actress ever on law order, alana de la garza, was a strech to add a model an actress who is known just for her beauty and cast prior this show based solely on looks, but she not only is the best second chair lawyer, ever, she is what keeps me watching the show. know her beauty helps but she is a great actress, and she goes way behind the reaches of the others, she is better than angie harmon, she is better than elizabeth rohm, and she is better than ross. She is a great actess and the show should utlize that, because this is most likely its last season, so they need to develop a storyline and announce to the world that is the final season. I don't want the law and order to end, especially since it is so much better than svu, however, the writing is on the wall. So lets give the show the send off it deserves, and begin to develop a story line within each episode which will end show for a reason. With the cancer of Van Buren now added her death could be the end, but i always thought that lupo and connie would get together, they have chemisty between both them and i think a romantic involvement between two would up ratings, give a twist and also add a side plot that can developed this whole season. Nevertheless Connie does rock, and I believe she is the best second chair ever, and her role has been spread, more than other second chair in history. But I love the show, I love the story lines, i love the satire, parody, and social relvelance the writiers bring, yet with this beginning close to the end, they need to go out like er, or mash, or seinfield. With a plannd ending, knowng that is the last season. It is the best drama in history in my opinion, and it can not just end with some stupid ending, it needs to end with a bang, advertise that this is the last year, build in storylines that won't affect the core too much, but give it is proper and well-deserving ending. Whether a fan or not, no one can argue the success of law and order, and impact it had for NBC. But shows can only go for so long, and this has run its course in ratings, but it can get those back by advertising and saying this is the last year for best crime drama of all time.

In my opinion, the addition of the most beautiful actress ever on law order, Alana de la Garza, was a stretch. First to add a model who sole acting roles where based on her extreme beauty. A beauty which is more than hot, more than sexy just unbelievable. Thus most of her roles where based on the fact of her sex appeal and not her acting ability. Second her addition to me was I thought an attempt to flaunt beauty and use her sex appeal to get better ratings, but I could not be more wrong.
Connie to me has now established herself as the most bankable actor/actress on that show it is a shame that the ratings are falling when she arrived, because, I believe she has brought an energy to the show more than any other second chair. Nevertheless, she does Rock, and it shows, the writers see that and in more and more episodes her roles have become bigger. In my opinion they should have gave first chair when Jack was promoted to Da. But Cutter has played attorneys in other shows and he does do a great job but so does Connie now. The episode where she faced off against Cutter was great. They should think of more ways where is the one asking the questions, but that is my opinion. And the show is dying, it has been on 20 years, and that is unbelievable, but it is time to build storylines, and advertise that this law and order's final season. Give the best crime drama in history, the best show in history the respect and send-off it deserves. Now I don't know if it is Dick Wolf who won't give up but do what they did for ER. Law and Order just like ER did for their genre, L and o revolutionized crime show drama's.
Twenty years, two successful spin-offs, and countless cast members the show kept going because of its storylines and the acting that drove the show not just to talk death, but critic and produce drama that was socially relevant. It allowed the viewers to look and think, and say WOW the guy did it but, "how would I vote", or in some cases you just don't know. The show touches on so many socially relevant topics and the circumstances around them make you think, and that is why it is special. Now I love show, my brother did as well but he lost his faith in it because he got older, and did not watch I too stopped for a bit when in college, but I was able to have my family TVO every new episode, while college so that I would come on break and watch a full season, during that break. But my brother did not go back to watching L and O, and others like my brother gave up because show has been on forever, and people get tired of it.
Which is sad because Connie, Lupo, and Cutter are great additions to new cast and generation of Law and Order which I believe would get viewers who once loved the show but got tired of it. Shows don't last 10 years, because people just go weary of it. And now with addition of CSI and other shows, Law and Order has fell, but I'm not sad they proved they are the best crime drama of all time. And they don't need to prove it to anyone, look at the numbers, and the money Dick Wolf is now worth, Law and Order has become a stable the last two decades, when shows are remembers, L and O will be remembered for life, but I don't the best show ever to end without the proper send-off. They need to advertise that this is the last season, and write storylines to reflect that, now I hope it is not Dick Wolf who is preventing this because he has already more than enough money from the show and syndication of the show. It put on the map and made a billionaire so now it is time to recognize I created the best crime drama ever, let me and my writers give it a proper send off. I am afraid that it is just going to end without any storyline that reflects why. The actors their now, especially Lupo and Connie can create a storyline that could give the show a proper send-off. On top of that Dick Wolf needs to acknowledge it is the end. Thus end it correctly, it will be disheartening for fans who stayed loyal to the show and not betrayed it because it has been on for too long, but it has which is unfortunate because I believe right now show the best cast in awhile. That is best solely on the addition of Cutter, Connie and Lupo, love triangle can see it now, Van Buren's cancer, can see it now, they are gearing to the end but wont' announce that this the last season. And they have to so that they like ER can bring other characters from previous seasons, and really give the show the ending that other shows of their magnitude in their respective genre's received. So with that said, Connie is the best second chair, so good that I wish they for once would have made her first chair and cutter second. The simple fact is that Alana de la Garza is so attractive that is unfair, to the rest of the world but she is a great actress and has now stole the spotlight on the show. So yes Connie rocks, but Dick Wolf right now does not, please don't show just end on a regular episode at the end of may, it needs its proper send-off. And one is Connie and Lupo together, not to take the over the show but they can work it in for a few minutes each episode. Maybe this is me just being a guy wanting to see Connie in a sexier light but maybe it is something I think will work and raise ratings, people like both of them. So Connie rocks, give her more face time and give her and others my storylines so the show can end properly, with the class that it deserves. That is my opinion and I'm sticking with it

I think this is the best overall cast. Alana is a very under rated performer and deserves a bigger role. Not only is she dead sexy but she does a hell of a job showing you that she's probably a lot smarter than any of the other ada's of past seasons.

Some say the show is dying, but the only thing that I can think of to make that statement true, is the new time slot. Friday nights! I think they should put it on right after SVU. I DVR both shows and usually watch them back to back because I'm in the state of mind for that type of show. Just like I watch Smallville and Heroes back to back.

I complelty agree! Finally! It's refreshing to find a M/C/L fan. Their aren't that many out there. Especially Mike and Connie. I really do hope they find a way to work thier differences out. They're such a great couple! And Lupo is hot!

I love the jewelry that Connie wears on the show. Nothing specific, but I like all of it, and suspect it is by the same designer or designers. Does anyone know what kind of jewelry she wears, the brand name, and whether or not it is available to the public? Or, does anyone know who/what I can contact in order to get an answer on this, instead of the usual "Due to the volume of mail we get, we cannot answer every question..." response?
Thanks, would love some help on this.

I especially hope Connie and Lupo end up together before the show goes off. The way they approach each other is so cute. I love how they seem complete with each other, like they just fit together.

She's really improved since her days on CSI: Miami. She's got wonderful chemistry with Linus as well.
