Did any of you get this e-mail? It is an ad from Staples that has a huge picture of Michael, Dwight, Ryan, Pam, Jim and a shredder. It says "Watch The Office, November 16th. See the Staples MailMate Shredder in the role it was built for." Then, in smaller font, "Our MailMate shredder has a bottomless appetite and will appearon the hit comedy series, The Office. See for yourself on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 8:30/7:30 CST on NBC. It puts on quite the performance."
My heart lept when I first saw the picture, then sort of dropped when I realized it was a shredder ad. Because I already have a shredder, from Staples.

Wow, they're supporting Dunder-Mifflin's biggest competition. Say what you want about Michael Scott, but he'd never do that.

Then he's going make an alliance with Drew Carey, Ryan Stiles, and Wayne Brady, to send The Office cast to tribal council.

Ummm... no. I don't have any idea how to do that. It was in an e-mail sent to me by Staples. It doesn't appear to be on their website. I can't seem to copy or save the image. But then again, you are pretty much witnessing my computer skills right here. Me type good.

I have no idea if you have tried this yet- but I really want to see the picture now! Ok- right click on the picture- if you can do that go to properties at the very bottom- there should be a link inside the box kinda in the middle- just enter that in image tags- it should work

Unfortunately, I already tried that. It turns out, the shredder isn't really part of the picture of the cast. It is really just a picture of the shredder next to the picture of the cast. So when I save the picture, I just have the cast, no shredder. I even joined photobucket to try to upload the whole e-mail and put it on here but the e-mail saves as HTML which Photobucket won't upload. But, looking at the picture, I'm not so sure you really would be all that excited to see it since the cast and the shredder aren't really together.
Did NOONE else get this e-mail? Am I the only person buying office supplies online? Is Dwight right- is this internet fad waning?

my mom got the email, and she freaked out because she knows how much i love this show! it wasn't that interesting really it was just a photo of the cast next to an advertisement of a shredder that will be shown in the episode on nov 16th. it was pretty funny though how the advertisement was all about a shredder being shown in an upcoming episode. do you think theres going to be an extra long shot of someone shredding paper in the merger episode?

I actually think I know the reason why Staples is so involved with the next episode- something I read on another board- it might be a spoiler for some people though...

I hope you made this statement as a clever way to continue the using one's compition to advertize your own product theme. Because that's ABC and CBS you're referencing there. If it was on purpose than I salute you, if not and your just stupid than well I hope you can figure out what I think of you so I don't get in trouble for calling you names.
PS good lord whoputmycalculatorinjello! You really want to see that picture don't you?! I hope you didn't spend the time to make that and just found it in like a troubleshooter program.

After I save something in paint, I usually go on www.imageshack.us and upload it. It's quick, easy, free, and you don't have to join or anything to get it uploaded. Wow, I should get into advertisement . . .

I don't have paint on my computer. I really think everyone would be disappointed with this anyway. It isn't the cast with the shredder, it is just a regular picture of the cast and then a picture of a shredder next to that picture. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I had the same thought...but maybe the better question could be, what are they shredding that's so important that the shredder is considered a minor
character on the episode?

Yeah, this has been so ridiculous. I had to open a photobucket account and ask a couple different people for help and resend myself the e-mail then work on it on another computer. I was just going to bag it, but every time I checked there were more posts, and I just bowed to the pressure. So I hope everyone enjoys the ad. And, hopefully, for Josh's sake, at least one of you will buy a shredder from Staples.
