mad.gif Just caught this article on my Comcast homepage with no description of author so it makes me wonder but once more we have someone taking an arrogant tone of superiority based on nothing more than ratings instead of content. Some of history's most famous shows "struggle to find acceptance" and just because they do, isn't saying anything new or profound, but such article's and their copycat authors simply borrow such expressions to sound important or like they're saying something noteworthy.

All I have to say Tina Fay is that 30 Rock is brilliant, funny as **** and Alec Baldwin is one of the funniest people alive. Fans whom saw Baldwin nail his SNL performances over the years had the priviliege of being exposed to this side of his talent, and garnering him for 30 Rock was a brilliant move for those who were left wanting more. The addition of yourself, Tracy Morgan and others is also a pure delight and your show freaking cracks me up!!!!!!!!! laugh.gif It also has beautiful camerawork, dialogue, set design, etc. Love its pace too. This show gets a 10 in my book.

Wouldn't it be great if bitter, cynic journalists would just look to say something positive instead? Judging a show just based on ratings or a struggle to gain acceptance just isn't doing enough to be fair. Instead it creates nothing but bad feeling and for no more than the sake of.

I and many others hope NBC will stay behind you on this show! Keep up the great work all of you! smile.gif

That's right, every episode of 30 Rock is now available online...full-length! So, if you were late to the game or if you just want to re-watch your favorites, now's the time! Or if you've been trying to convince your friends that the show is great, now you have proof!

So, head on over there now and spend your day with 30 Rock!
apzworld88
Also for those who have I-Tunes you can buy a season pass. DL all pisodes so far and every friday you can DL new episodes as they air right onto your computer. And it's only like 30 something dollars.

SO worth it.

For some reason, they removed the online shows last weekend. But they are back again, even though the link is not well advertised:

http://www.nbc.com/Video/rewind/full_episo...l?show=30rock06

I think it is very smart to make the downloads available for free. More people need to be exposed to this show, it hasn't really taken off yet. Maybe they are making the downloads hard to find so people will still pay for the episodes on iTunes?
naktion
I can't watch them
it says they're not available from my location! mad.gif

Im not sure where your area is but im sorry its not working there =(

P.S I don't know if this will make it easier for some people maybe the link above doesn't work, anymore. How I watch, "30 Rock" on nbc.com is that I click on shows then click on, "30 Rock" scroll down to, "Miss and Episode?" and click on Tracys face =)

The Associated Press has published an rather glowing article on 30 Rock. You can read it here:

No mention of ratings, though

The ink is incredible! I am sure it is the finest ink form the depths of the Inkrabian ink mines. The message is confusing to me however. Do the writers at 30 Rock really believe other humans could possibly "stumble" upon creative wordplay? As if there is 1 other person to consider as astutely phonetically acumenical, then broadcast it.

Surely the scribes of this show, and their affect with the subtleties of English vernacular, are unparalleled. And then, to bow to the prowess of the know-how of the crowd that scours the bowels of lowbrow sows, who endow and kow-tow with hoosegow know-how, to empower any frau and bro that is conned, and desponded, by the doggoned fishpond wand of the Simpsons? I think not Sir!!

The Thursday night line up of programming at NBC is intelligent and enlightening, except for "What's His Name". The connection between the shows, the connection, as subtle as it is, is unnoticable to most viewers. But Liz Lemonfey should be proud that her show is smart and funny. And could and should carry the night.

AP doesn't tell the whole story of Thursdays, or the broadcasts of NBC television on that night, in this article. But I like 30 Rock, and Thursday is not a bad day.

What super news that the ap sees this show as we do. You can't beat Thursday night on NBC. I don't remember thursday ever having 4 superb comedies in a row.

Just wondering why the most recent episode (ep 12) isn't available?

anyone know how to access some of the older episodes (i.e. the first 10 episodes of the season)?

I can't seem to find them from the following link: http://www.nbc.com/Video/rewind/full_episodes/30rock.shtml.

Hello,

I am a current subscriber to Xbox Live and have been purchasing videos off of Microsoft’s Video Marketplace via Microsoft points through the Xbox 360 gaming console. My gamertag is SA Fox Mulder and 90% of my video purchases are from the “TV show” section on Video Marketplace.

I have recently noticed that there were no “30 Rock” episodes at all available for download. What I did find however were episodes 1-14 of “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip: Season 1”. I have never made an effort to watch Studio 60 when it first aired and needless to say I will not be downloading any episodes of S60 that require me to pay for them.

In conclusion I would like to ask that you reconsider placing “30 Rock” first season episodes onto Microsoft’s Video Marketplace via Xbox Live for purchase and download. I for one would very much like to own and rewatch all past episodes and have spoken with fellow gamers who would also love to own the first season of “30 Rock” via Video Marketplace Download.

Thank you for your time,
CleTuStdog

Hey Tina-

Wondering if you'll make any produced scripts available somewhere so writers who want to spec your show can have see examples?

I think it is great that full legnth episodes are available online, but I really wish more episodes were available. I just got turned on to 30Rock a few weeks ago and have watched every episode that is available online, it would be great if they would put up the earlier episodes for those of us who would like to catch up on this amazing show!
gayguy4tinafey
Further to this, if fans want an easier way of remembering every line from the show... but the spec script post is good too.
fishingwithfredo
Glad to see there are others having problems getting the video to load (hate to suffer alone). For me the new episodes only load up about 10% of the time, usually I click on them and the little viewer never comes up. I don't think it's my computer because it's a pretty nice one, the guy I stole it from seemed really mad.

Anyone have any advice? (Not about stealing, I'm good there)

30 Rock has only aired almost a season. Give it time to develop a wider fanbase so that network execs can be sure it's worth the investment.

OK I was just wondering because Studio 60 has stuff and that just doesn't make sense for them to have stuff and not 30 Rock.

Apparently sometime in September - how absurd is that? I hope it's not true.

if i had this on DVD, i don;t think i would get anything done. ever. i would play it over, and over - it is one of those rare shows i feel i can rewatch timeless amounts of times - like friends (so i hope they go on to make as many episodes as friends hehe). Even other great comedys like Scrubs, The mighty boosh, and the office i have DVDs of them, but i can't watch them too many times.

i can't express my love for this show enough. lol. It really is exactly my kind of comedy, my kind of show. And another thing i think is important in TV shows are the characters - you can have good shows like Lost, but they become bad shows because the characters aren't amiable enough. But i love the central characters on 30 Rock. They are all individuals, with their own destinct character and style, but all in their own way, are great.

30 Rock should win awards. it deserves great ratings too - i'm in the UK so i don't know how popular it actually is. i Just hope it continues to make top quality episodes for years to come!
chongo
I agree. I hope Tina Fey makes north of $20 million a year. She's brilliant. This is the next Seinfeld - so funny and so quotable.

However, regarding the DVD release date...why not release it before the 2nd season starts? Getting those who haven't watched the show a DVD of the first season only AFTER the second season starts doesn't make sense.

Nut up, Jeff Zucker.

oh characters, you have love the characters! Without characters, it's just masturbation!

And yes they all have their own unique qualities. Take a show like Will & Grace. It was very funny and the actors played their roles well and different from eachother, but the dialogue for each character was too similar. They were all too witty all the time. There are definitely worse things, and I still found the show to be down right funny, but it wasn't as good as Seinfeld, Cheers, The Office or 30 Rock because all of these shows have very different writing for every character.

Aside from Mobile stuff, for cell phones, I have been unable to find ANY 30 Rock desktop wallpapers, which is a little sad since there are like a million wallpapers for Heroes.

Am I just not looking in the right place? Does NBC have them, and if not, does anyone know where I can get some?

Love the show,
It's my new fave.

VIEWERS CAN CATCH UP ON THE EMMY AWARD-WINNING COMEDY '30 ROCK' WHEN BRAVO AIRS MINI-MARATHON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30
Published: September 25, 2007

NEW YORK – September 25, 2007 – Emmy voters have spoken and now viewers have a chance to catch up on the NBC Emmy Award-winning comedy "30 Rock," when Bravo airs a six episode mini-marathon on Sunday, September 30th from 1:00 – 4:00 PM ET/ PT. Six sure-to-become classic episodes of the critically acclaimed comedy will include fan favorites featuring Paul Reubens as a bizarre foreign prince, Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) getting set up on a blind date with a lesbian, and Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) becoming an NBC page for a day. "30 Rock" is told through the comedic voice of Fey playing Liz Lemon, who heads the variety show "TGS" while clashing with the ever-meddling head honcho Jack Donaghy . "30 Rock," with special guest star Jerry Seinfeld, premieres Thursday, October 4th at 8:30 PM ET/PT.

The following six episodes will air:

"Blind Date:" (1:00 – 1:30 PM)
Confident he can fix both Liz Lemon's (Tina Fey) sketch show and sex life, overbearing boss Jack (Alec Baldwin) sets Liz up on a blind date with his friend Thomas. With Liz readying herself for her blind date, Jack infiltrates the writers' weekly poker game. Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Scott Adsit, Jack McBrayer, Judah Friedlander, Lonny Ross, Keith Powell and Rachel Dratch also star.

"Tracy does Conan:" (1:30 – 2:00 PM)
Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) bumps Jenna Maroney's (Jane Krakowski) scheduled appearance on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" by booking new star Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan). Jenna, still irate over watching the show change to "TGS with Tracy Jordan," lashes out at Liz. To make matters worse, Tracy's gone off his medication and he's about to go on national television. Will Kenneth the Page (Jack McBrayer) fulfill his quest of finding Tracy's prescription and control his erratic behavior? Will Jenna have a nervous breakdown? And will Liz ever break up with Dennis (special guest star Dean Winters)? Scott Adsit, Judah Friedlander, Lonny Ross, Keith Powell and Rachel Dratch also star.

"Black Tie:" (2:00 – 2:30 PM)
Liz (Tina Fey) wonders if she's actually on a date with Jack (Alec Baldwin) as she accompanies him to a birthday celebration for a foreign prince (guest star Paul Reubens). While at the ball, Liz sees a different side to Jack as he unexpectedly runs in to his ex-wife (guest star Isabella Rossellini). Back at 30 Rock, Tracy (Tracy Morgan) tempts Pete (Scott Adsit) with a booze- and babe-filled party in the office, while Kenneth the Page (Jack McBrayer) tries to keep Pete on the straight and narrow. Will Forte of "Saturday Night Live" guest stars and Jane Krakowski, Judah Friedlander, Keith Powell, Lonny Ross and Rachel Dratch also star.

"The Head and the Hair:" (2:30 – 3:00 PM)
Intrigued by two MSNBC guys - the cerebral nerd "The Head" and the gorgeous hunk "The Hair" - they keep running into inside 30 Rock, Liz (Tina Fey) and Jenna (Jane Krakowski) decide to get serious about their dating lives, but find themselves unexpectedly switching their typical roles when Liz admits she's clicking with - and falling for - The Hair (guest star Peter Hermann). Jack (Alec Baldwin) and Kenneth the Page (Jack McBrayer) also switch office roles for "Bottoms Up" day, with Jack donning the page jacket and Kenneth spending a day as a corporate big wig. Tracy Morgan, Scott Adsit, Judah Friedlander, Lonny Ross, Keith Powell and Rachel Dratch also star.

"Up all Night:" (3:00 –3:30 PM)
After the entire cast binges on some questionable seafood at the craft services table, they hunker down to pull an all nighter - on Valentine's Day - and cobble a new show together. While Pete (Scott Adsit) completely forgets the holiday altogether, romance may be blooming between Kenneth the Page (Jack McBrayer) and Cerie (Katrina Bowden), who is squabbling with her Greek fiance. Liz (Tina Fey) wonders if she might have a secret admirer after she receives flowers from an anonymous suitor. Jack (Alec Baldwin), fresh from the finalization of his divorce from Bianca (guest star Isabella Rossellini), wants to celebrate his new bachelorhood with Tracy (Tracy Morgan), who for once wants a night alone with his wife. Jane Krakowski, Judah Friedlander, Lonny Ross, Keith Powell and Rachel Dratch also star.

"Hardball:" (3:30 – 4:00 PM)
When Josh's (Lonny Ross) contract is up, Jack (Alec Baldwin) sees an opportunity ripe for cost-cutting. While Liz (Tina Fey) tries to keep Josh in the TGS cast and from jumping to a rival show, Tracy (Tracy Morgan) awards Kenneth the Page (Jack McBrayer) a coveted spot in his entourage. Meanwhile, Jenna (Jane Krakowski) gets into some hot water over a misquote in a popular magazine. With special guest stars Chris Matthews and Tucker Carlson. Judah Friedlander, Scott Adsit, Keith Powell and Rachel Dratch also star.

Hi Katie,

I have a thought for a new topic and I want to know if you can start it. I'm a Senior Manager at the company that just picked up the apparel license for 30Rock and I thought it might be fun to get some of the fans to weigh in on what they would like to see on apparel. We already have some cool stuff headed for approval but getting the insight from members would be killer.

Thanks for your time.

Cheers

As you can see, I've moved your post to the existing Merchandising thread, this should handle talk about what you've asked for.

Alright great. Thanks.

So what would you wear on a t-shirt? Obviously the logos from the show, the show within the show, etc.

At this point we have:
  1. 2 shirts featuring kenneth
  2. Who dat ninja
  3. Donaghy Estates
  4. Quote from Jack
  5. girlie show logo
  6. 30 rock logo
  7. TGS with Tracy logo
  8. Dark Sensations t-shirt - the pilot

and we are working on more but I'd be curious to know what you on the boards think. If you come up with a good idea and we get it through the approval process, I will make sure you get a few of the shirts as a thank you. We hope to have these in retail before the end of this month.

This looks like the perfect place to discuss something I read...

"In Touch" Magazine did a little piece about this week's episode, and they had some quotes from Jack McBrayer. According to Jack, there will be a talking "Kenneth" bobblehead available sometime soon!

Now, I know "In Touch" isn't neccessarliy trustworthy sometimes, but it would be so cool if this was true! I'd buy one... lol!
