Doesn't most of the stuff that comes in over at OT come through posters, or people passing on links and info. to Tanster? It's true that she has developed a relationship with the show, had a tour of the studio, etc. Perhaps she asked for the merchandising deal?
Tanster deserves credit for what she's done, certainly. I don't dispute that.
While taking nothing away from her, she does seem to have little use for this board. I posted congrats on OT to Jenna Fischer for her Emmy nomination on behalf of all of us here, and the post was
immediately deleted. I complained, but never received an explanation (or an apology) for the deletion , even though the post was restored some time later.
The bigger question is: why doesn't NBC do this
themselves, and use
their own boards for the purpose? Why not give a little something to the folks who use your own facility, instead of outside? (Sure, being Canadian means I'll never see anything of it, but I'm asking on behalf of all boarders here) And why don't the cast members even admit to knowing that this board exists
at all? Do they not know or is there an agenda somewhere???
I think someone in NBC's Promotions or Viewer Relations departments needs to have a chat with them. Sooner rather than later.
