Yeah I'm bummed that she is leaving too. She was also becoming one of my fav actresses on Days. I hope that maybe after the movie she reconsiders coming back to Days. Usually people either leave for a while and then come right back or they land a pilot for a primetime show.

I just hope that Days does recast with a good person for the role of Abby. I feel it is a very important role. She is one of the few Horton's left on the show. She is one of the younger cast members that really has a connection with almost everyone on the show.

you got to wonder why they couldn't let her off to do the movie.. and let Emily fill in for her for the couple weeks! Then when Ashley was good and ready she could of came back and played Abby again.. I just don't get why they couldn't just give her the couple weeks off and hired Emily to fill her place til she came back!

Soaps work on tight budgets so they hardly let someone off for that long. Even Steve Burton Jason off GH (reminds me have to get some hot pics of him to share) he didn't get off and he has been on that soap for years. He wanted 6 weeks off to be apart of 24 as a guest villian and they didn't let him off. When you are under contract its hard to let people out of that contract for other projects because it costs you money to replace them.
