Last Season?, Seems that way..
It sure looks like this is the last season of Las Vegas sadly. NBC dumps shows on Friday they want to forget and then they didn't even start the season until October. They are such idiots, they never promoted this show right at all. At least at ABC they know how to promote their shows until you get sick of it! lol Too bad this show still keeps ratings in spite of NBC's horrible publicity and promotion, and the cast is so good looking -way better looking than the old purse faces on Desperate Housewives. Vanessa is way way more talented and better looking than Eva Longoria, but she never gets press or credit. Nikki is pretty and talented, so is Molly. Josh and James are 100's times better looking than the supposed dreamy guys on ABC, and also Josh is a way better actor than some of the supposed hunks like John Stamos or Jess Metcalf who like Eva longoria, wasn't even a good soap actor!
Too bad- NBC never promotes the big good shows LV had over the years like Always Faithful or even the finale of 2006 which was amazing too.
And they wonder why they are number 3 or 4? Wasting a show like this and putting in on a crappy night and not pushing and promoting the cast members until they were household names like NBC does with way less talented or good looking people is just stupid!
I hope someone else picks up this show and it keeps going on on cable, so much can still be done with this good cast!

Couldn't agree more. Since they are terrible at promoting it this may be the end. I will continue to watch the show to the end, but they have to start promoting the show better. Las Vegas must survive.

Now they are ending the season early to put a new show on too, so seems like this is definitely the last season. I will miss all of the characters, I love this show, but NBC will dump it.

Great, that is just perfect. Not that this may be the last season and it looks like Studio 60's first season may be it's last, NBC is taking all the good shows off the air. Las Vegas is a great show and now they might end it. I am against this all the way because this show should stay.

They sure are trying to kill it. Moving it to friday was pretty bad...thank god for DVR, I am convinced that NBC viewers mostly watch their programs via DVR. Unfortunately, Advertisers don't like paying for DVR viewers for one obvious reason....the thirty second skip button. Tivo lovers lost theirs, but I still have mine
And to further sink the ship...promoting XM

Talk about sinking ships. Sirius exclusive content is far superior to XM, and yet they promote XM, dumb (except for the fact that they actually got paid for it). Sirius plasters itself all over Sunday Night Football, but no other NBC shows?
I mean look at the evolution of Satellite Radio, XM starts at 9.99/Mo. Sirius comes in at 12.95/Mo. Sirius announces Stern, XM seeing slower growth compared to Sirius, raises it's prices to 12.95 because listeners are obviously willing to pay the extra coin. Sirius launches Internet only option and topples XM's subscriber count. Now XM is promoting 3 free months.....yeah that's gonna work. People pay for content and XM can't seem to keep much.... I think just MLB and Air America is all they have now (that are worth mentioning).
NBC needs to keep their Late Night hosts In Line, good lord every night Jay is letting everybody know how bad the ratings are. You don't see XM saying, we're number 2 over and over again....although maybe they do I wouldn't know.
All that said, I hope they can keep vegas going. I also think studio 60 needs to stick around.
It doesn't help matters that Americans are depressed with their own lives, that leads to people watching those soap like shows to feel good... just makes me puke. The highest rated shows on the other networks are more or less daytime in the primetime. I hope NBC can survive the fad without becoming just like them.

I also fear this may be the last for Vegas. It seems that NBC is moving and canceling shows with a knee jerk reaction. I liked Kidnapped. Look at the amazing cast they had on that show! But when the show didn't immediately break records, they moved it to Saturday night-- with NO notice, and now it is relegated to Internet only to play out the last few episodes.
Okay-- It may not be a "Seinfeld" or a "Friends"; But
NBC-- YOU DON'T HAVE SEINFELD OR FRIENDS ANYMORE!
Maybe you need to give the shows, the actors and the audience half a chance to get to know a program? Remember the dismal ratings at the beginning of a little show called Cheers?

Seriously, NBC has had some bad shows in the past, but they need to realize if they keep throwing new shows at the audience sonner or later were just going to be over it Las Vegas is such a strong show because they do have a great story. I mean a casino and drama drama wow its such a good theme. They also have great looking actors with strong character roles. I mean james caan and jillian ex charlie's angels are strong "older" characters, not boring at all. Nikki and Vanessa are such strong names and have strong acting abilites. I mean they were on soaps and numerous television programs. Josh is an up and coming star and mike and molly are great supporting characters. I mean honestly if they can keep seinfiled on for so long they can give las vegas a shot. But las vega does need to move to another night, bc when i do go out I Must tape las vegas. SIDENOTE when we record a show does it still count us as a viewer in the ratings. Because I know like 7 people that record Las Vegas, maybe the reason Las Vegas does not have high ratings is because everyone is taping the show. BUT seriously if any NBC worker is reading these blogs dont be dumb and keep the show..I mean look at us we are all supporting fans. So dont be to quick to try and boost ratings by making up dumb themes for new shows and mold shows you already have to a larger audience and for godsakes PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTT

Save Las Vegas Petition
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/vegasThere's been a lot of speculation about Las Vegas being axed lately. Family Guy was axed and through massive pulic pressure FOX brought it back. Thinking along these lines, I've created an online petition to prevent Las Vegas being cut.
Please reply here and at the link to show your support of Las Vegas.

Since they ruined Danny and Mary my favorite part of the show was Danny and Ed. Now it looks like they are ruining that because of his relationship with Delinda.

Mid-Season Replacement for Las Vegas, Does this mean it's going to be cancelled?Read in USA Today that a new drama with Jeff Goldblum will be a "mid-season" replacement for Las Vegas (or as my hubby and I like to call it, "Tits"). Does anyone know if this is another way of saying "cancelled"? Hope not! We would really miss this program as it is one of few that requires absolutely no thinking but is oddly entertaining.

I think there is a good chance that LV is done after this season. Vanessa Marcil hinted at it on the Ellen show a couple months ago and LV is expensive to make. NBC is all about saving money right now so I wouldn't doubt if they end it even though the ratings haven't been bad.
However, the spoiler for the finale sounds awful so I can't imagine them keeping many fans around after this season.

I noticed when browsing the internet that Molly has been to a couple of events to honor NBC president Jeff Zuker. I also noticed that she had her picture taken with him at the NBC Golden Globes after party. He appears to be quite fond of her. Maybe Molly can plead with him to keep the show on the air, and a petition won't be necessary. I don't know how much she can do, but he seems to be quite fond of her.

The Wikipedia LV page is outdated and not a very reliable source since it can be updated by almost anyone. Can you please link to wherever NBC confirmed it. The Wikipedia thing about 7 eps doesn't even make sense because it's saying the reason LV is being canceled is because it can't compete with the ratings of Fox's 24 which isn't even on the same night. Then it just says it will end in 2007. Where did the October 28th date come from?

NBC has not confirmed anything like that, there is nothing like that on a press release. Can you post a link please? Let real, no amount of letter writing will help this show. it's over. NBC put in on Fridays which is the graveyard for the shows the want to kill. Not good enough this show was the only one to last in 2003 against Raymond and Monday Night Football. They just used it when all of their other shows failed and now hid it on fridays and gave it a shorted season.
Now they are pretending they might give it a long season? Yeah right. They never had any intention of renewing it past the TNT amount of shows needed.
Too bad it's no NBC, it should go to cable like HBO where the stupid prudes won't censor it and also where they actually appreciate hit shows.
Just fact it, it's over, and not even a good series finale, a horrible bunch of awful cliffhangers. sucks!
