Abe tries to reassure Lexie that everything will be okay, and that she needs to tell everyone what she saw. Lexie seeks reassurance from Tek that it was E.J. he saw shoot John before she turns in her half-brother. Marlena is furious with Bo and tells him that it's his fault John is in the mess that he's in, then waits for him to get out of surgery. She's relieved that he survived, but devastated when the doctors tell her that he has suffered permanent brain damage. Later, she has a dream that John is trying to tell her something.

? Max and Mimi are disappointed to learn from Abe that the skeleton is not that of a Civil War soldier, and Patrick and Bonnie have some worries of their own once their learn about the skeleton during Mimi and Bonnie's visit to see Patrick in jail before he's taken away. Mimi and Max are working on some alone time, but are first interrupted by Shawn and Claire, and then Abby.

? Belle can't hide her suspicions of Beverly Healy, which turn out to be accurate when she shows up with a police officer and a court order, demanding that Shawn and Belle hand the baby over. Steve and Kayla suggest that they do as she says or things will only get worse for them.

? Steve has a violent reaction to the tarot card that Benjy gave him, but insists to Kayla that he's fine. He sees John briefly at the hospital, who looks at him and says 'killer' before his condition worsens. Later, Steve hears a loud pounding in his head and collapes.

? Chelsea goes to see Maggie at Chez Rouge and asks for a waitressing job. On Abby's recommendation, Maggie agrees to give her a try, but fires her after she battles with Willow over the job. Chelsea comes close to catching Nick and Chelsea together.

? Nick heads to Chelsea's place to tell her the truth, and finds a drunken Billie. The two end up getting passionate, and Nick is determined to not let Chelsea find out what he did.

? Roman interrogates Sami as to how she got to the hospital, and she tells him about a mysterious trucker. She is insistent that she saved Lucas all on her own as the two reunite.

? Bo and Hope celebrate the birth of their new daughter, with Shawn's apologies and congratulations, but have trouble thinking of a name for the new baby.
