Alright, here we go.
S/N Gareth Schrute named after my fave characters
Real name is Kasey Glover (Girl name I know, my parents wanted an original name. At least it isn't Rainn)
Age: 20 Sex: male Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Though my heart is in a little town not too far from Boise ID, called Middleton)
I work at Nick N Willy's World Famous Take N Bake Pizza. Scratch that, currently unemployed.
I'm an aspiring filmmaker and just finished my first script, I plan to go to film school in N.Y.C. in the not-to-distant future.
I got into The Office after Arrested Development completely changed my sense of humor (I used to think Adam Sandler was funny) I watched the pilot and diversity day, and then wasn't able to see anymore episodes until I got a DVR, I started watching again after the christmas party. At the same time I became obsessed with the british version after seeing an episode on BBC America.
My interests are pretty much just reading, writing, and watching TV. I've hated sports since I was a kid. I'm also into science, politics, and religion.
And I'm currently dating a girl that I work with. Her name is Ashleigh.
Favorite movies: Donnie Darko, Vanilla Sky, Day of the Dead, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fargo, Pulp Fiction, All Quiet on the Western Front, Chasing Amy, and A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Favorite Books: The Rules of Attraction, Lunar Park, anything by Hunter S. Thompson, America: The Book, The Areas of my Expertise, Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them, Englands Dreaming, and The Dark Tower series.

Hello my beloved friends! My real name is Laureen, and I joined the boards as soon as I found out about them. Hence, since I was not a lurker, I do not have an Office-themed name, but now I am kind of attached to VBarkley.
VBarkley= Victoria Barkley from the 60's western The Big Valley, starring the great Barbara Stanwyck. No, I am not THAT old, but the show was on in reruns at 4pm, just when I would get home from school. I was the first latchkey kid in our 'hood (but had no key, since we did not lock our doors) so Tv kept me company.
I got hooked on The Office because there aren't that many good shows, and TVGuide recommended it. None of my friends are into it, but I did get my sister hooked.
I am female, single, over 30. And 40. I am not currently working because I am dealing with some serious health issues. I also moved back in with my elderly parents. In their basement. With all my stuff. From a 2 bedroom apartment. Bet you're jealous.
I have had a variey of careers, from nanny, to teacher, retail manager, HR, MIS. I have a degree in classical music, and was somewhat athletic prior to my health decline (bicycling, bowling). I was also a Mathlete. I enjoy reading, writing, singing and am currently hooked on Sudoku.
Favorite Tv shows: The Office, The Closer, Monk, Psych, Veronica Mars, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List and HGTV. oh, and Roseanne reruns. My parents like Lawrence Welk and Hee Haw. Pray for me.
Movies: Eddie and the Cruisers, Pride and Prejudice (6 hour version with Colin Firth), West Side Story, Adventures in Babysitting, any Hitchcock, many more I can't think of....
Books: the Bible, Wait Til Next Year by Doris Kearns Goodwin, The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Alison Weir, Madam, Will You talk? by Mary Stewart, Last Act by Jane Aiken Hodge, Trixie Belden series
I recently visited relatives in Montana, and the Chinook High School mascot is the Sugar Beeters. It's a big scary beet on top of an old hand mixer, and it made me think of Dwight. See their mascot here:
http://www.chinookschools.org/index.htmI would like to thank everyone who has made me laugh over these last few months. Especially smoking-head Radhalpert.

Hello, my name is Amy and I'm an a..., Office flan. It's been 1 year, 4 months, and 7 days since I first saw The Office. Ever since I have been smiling like a chimpanze begging for his life!!!
As a big Frat Pack fan, when I saw some promos for a new program starring Steve Carell, Anchorman, there was no choice but to give it a try. After I saw the first one, I could not get enough. I was not reborn a flan, I was born a flan.
About me- SWF, 35, and a first grade teacher( my postings should slow down after school starts again.)

I love to travel, relax by the ocean, and I am a math/logic problem addict. I specialize in Sudoku and Kakuro. Although, my hobbie time has been cut short by an Office board craze that I somehow got myself into!
Truly, it is an honor to be here amongst "the others."
I am still planning the trip to Scranton September 22-24!! Yes, I am excentric enough and adventurous enough to really do it. (For those you who are wondering!)

I just came out of lurking today. I didn't mean to, but I just couldn't help myself.
I'm a 31 year-old married woman who is bravely going back to school full time in the fall in order to start my second career (I was a teacher but I worked in a school enviornment that pretty much scarred me for life--and no, it wasn't the kids that were the problem).
I started watching The Office at the beginning of the second season. I was a huge Steve Carell fan when he was on The Daily Show, so I was interested to see what the fuss was all about with The Office. I still watch religiously, and the first thing I did after the season finale (well, after I rewinded and rewatched the last 5 minutes about 20 times) was to come to these boards to see what everyone else thought about what had happened.
So, I'm glad to finally be out of lurk mode. It's taken me several months--hey it took me 2 months just to get up the courage to join the boards, so I'm sure I'll start of slowly at first, but I'm sure eventually I'll pick up speed.
It's really nice to meet everyone. See you around the boards!

Hello
Long time lurker, first time poster. My name is Elizabeth and I love The Office. I started watching the show after hearing so much about it on another message board and now I'm hooked. I so can't wait for the next season!

My real name is Lindsey and I am a stay-at-home mom to one little boy with another little boy to arrive soon.
My screenname is "i have a jim"
b/c I think my husband is pretty awesome just like I think Jim is pretty awesome. My husband started downloading episodes of The Office early this year and it was annoying me so I just bought him the first season for Valentine's Day...I think. I would listen with only one ear while he watched them and I was not amused by them. I think the only thing that made me laugh was the health plan episode. Then, once our TiVo was free on Thursday nights again this spring, my husband started TiVoing the reruns of season two. I started paying more and more attention and before I knew it I was addicted. We actually pause the TiVo so that we can laugh at a joke and not miss what happens next.
We have since gone back and watched the first season again and we even watched all the bonus footage on it. And, I usually never watch the bonus footage on anything. I can't wait for season 2 on DVD and for season 3 to begin.
PS My husband is a lurker and his screenname is "NotABadDay".

I visit several message boards on different topics, and this is my favorite. I love the humor here, and I can't believe the facts about the show that some of you remember. I continue to re-watch the episodes on my iPod to try to catch all of the details.
I am a 33 year old mother of two young boys. I work as a project manager at a software development company here in Scottsdale, Arizona. I try to get my husband to watch The Office whenever I can, but he doesn't watch much t.v. I don't know what is wrong with him.
This board keeps me sane during the day when I really need a break from work. I haven't been around here very long, so I am looking forward to the posts when season 3 starts. Watching the BBC version on DVD this summer made me even more excited for next season.
Thanks for all the fun,
Stacy

I've been watching The Office since season one and am definetly addicted. I think it's one of the best and funniest shows on T.V. I can't wait for season 3!!!

hello everyone

i haven't posted much here, i mostly just read. i've been a fan of The Office since it first came on TV in march '05. i was finishing my master's degree, so i was finally able to actually watch TV again! The episode that got me hooked was The Alliance, when Michael was trying to think of something funny to put in Meredith's birthday card and he said "Meredith... Mary... Mary had a little lamb... Meredith had a little lamb. Don't bring that lamb to work - it'll poop on the floor!" I busted up laughing and now here I am anxiously awaiting the 3rd season.
my real name is Erin, and i am a 24 year old female. i work in an office much like the one portrayed on the show, which probably is part of why i am addicted to it. i don't sell paper though, i am a computer programmer. i post on lots of other boards, but they are all about cars

i'm a bit of a gearhead, i have 3 cars and my fiance has 4. he is also addicted to The Office. we ALWAYS TiVo it, and in my infinite nerdiness, i like to extract sound clips from the episodes for my own and my fiance's amusement. we mostly use them as sounds on our computers. i'm looking into any copyright issues before i start making them all available to my fellow flans - and if there are no issues, i will take requests.

i'm getting ready to do Casino Night right now actually. here's the one that is my screenname:
http://homepage.mac.com/rexerin/.Music/TheOffice/boink.mp3
my fiance and i often quote/reference the show in conversation, and it makes for some fun inside jokes. i guess that's about it for now!

I hate so much about the things that Cracker Barrel chooses to be.
Seriously, I can't stand that place. Like, how they make you wait for a table even when the dining room is empty. I've found the best way to be seated quickly...if you really want to eat their food...is to start playing with all of the noisiest items in the gift shop.
See that little green guy? He's saying, "Whooarf! I can't believe I finished those nasty potatoes."

My name is Claire and I'm an office addict.
I'm in high school, and have been watching the show since the pilot. You don't find a whole lot of office fans in my age group. I guess most of us just don't get smart humor. I joined this board when I first saw it, even though I'm not very computer effecient for my generation. This board fills my office gap at night, so keep it going. At least until summer ends, or my band camp starts.
Movies:Anything with the fratpack, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Sabrina (with Audrey Hepburn, not the witch), Shaun of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, Phantom of the Opera (though more exciting on stage), I have to see Little Miss Sunshine, even though it will be hard to find where I live.
Books:Holes, Walk two moons, Bud not Buddy, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, The Other Side of Paradise
T.V.:The Office, Ghosthunters, 30 days, Law and Order SVU, My Name is Earl, Mythbusters, and for some reason I've just started watching Passions (weird what stuff I find to watch in the summer)

I would kill for a Moon Pie right now, hahaha - the double-decker ones. If you put them in the microwave for 20-25 seconds...that's tough to beat.
Also, for consideration:
Some things people in other states/not in the southeast may not be privy to (unfortunately for them)BoJangles
Red Hot Dogs...really, in my opinion, there are hot dogs, and then there are brown hot dogs.
Tobacco Road sports. Almost as tough to beat as a microwaved Moon Pie.

Well, things have changed in the decade(s) since I graduated, it was still a BFA in graphic design back then. We got our first Mac SE my senior year so we could set type to paste down with rubber cement. Unfortunately, desktop design spawned many "photoshop experts" and now everyone is a marketing genius because they've made a presentation with PowerPoint. Don't even get me started on bad web design. Just giving you a heads up. Learn now to keep a poker face in client meetings. It will serve you well.

Okay, no more lurking. Actually, I've been reading the boards for about a month, and I must say there are some very funny, insightful people posting here! As for me, I'm a 40, (I CAN'T believe that number

), year old woman, married, one daughter who is 4. I also teach high school biology, but am taking several years off to be at home with my little one. Back to work next year though! I first discovered the British Office a couple of years ago. I'm a huge fan of the show. I grew up in England, so "getting" the British humour wasn't a problem. Of course I heard that they were making an American version of the show, and I was just as skeptical as everyone else, and I never even checked it out once it was on. About 6 weeks ago, my husband's boss mentioned to him that he should check out The Office on NBC, it was a pretty good show. So I thought, maybe there IS a chance . . . That was it, I was hooked immediately. Since then I've bought the season 1 DVD , and downloaded and watched all the season 2 episodes from iTunes. I won't even tell you how much Office FanFic and YouTube videos I've watched! Can't wait for Sept. 21st like everyone else, or how about that season 2 DVD with all the extras? Anyway, looks like I'm in deep now, so hello!
I'm off to look for an avatar. . . .

Hello, my name is Chris and I'm from Oklahoma. I'm new to the boards (although not new to online communities in general) and I love the Office. It's by far the best TV show I've ever seen and the only one I've ever really followed (outside of Sports Night).
Yesterday was my birthday (24) and my wife bought me a "Dundies Award Winner" t-shirt and a Dwight bobblehead, which ships later this month. So, yeah, I'm really pumped about that.

We're also the only state that produces Clay Aiken...unfortunately.
To clarify, that's 'unfortunately' to the fact that we produced Clay Aiken, not to the fact that other states do not also do such...a thing...of that nature.

Hi guys. My name is Candace. I've been on the boards since the end of May. I would have joined sooner if I knew it was here! I am 28 years old, married, and from Phoenix, AZ. I made my screen name, scrantonbranch, because I wanted a name that encompassed the whole show. I couldn't choose just one favorite aspect! I figured the branch location was a good way to go. You probably know me best from starting the horribly addicting Q&A Trivia Chain and Who Am I? threads. I can't believe they are still going! Thanks to everyone for making these two threads so much fun and sometimes very challenging. It's really helped to kill time before the season premiere, and I have an excuse to watch clips on youtube for a question I don't know off the top of my head. It's been great talking to everyone on this board. It makes The Office even more fun!

Since there's nothing on but reruns, I decided to watch something new, and I tuned in to reruns of The Office around the middle of June. Then I saw Booze Cruise, and a couple of weeks later, Casino Night. And what can I say, I was completely hooked. I bought the Season 1 DVD, which I've watched atleast 4 times now. I've been catching up on Season 2 through iTunes and reruns on NBC. Now I'm counting the days until the Season 3 premiere and I absolutely can't wait to see what Jim and Pam will do. I honestly don't think I have ever been so hooked by a TV show in my life! It's very addicting. I can't believe I missed it for this long, but I'm glad that I found it now. I'm doing my best to get my friends hooked on it too! And it's nice to know that there are so many others out there that like it as much as I do!
