Trump really dated himself to the old boys club by having the playboy mansion as a BUSINESS reward! I'm a very liberal woman but I found the choice of the Playboy Mansion to be on the offensive side and not very thoughtful to the women on the winning team. Wrong reward for "business". Just a tiny step up from taking them to a strip club. Although, to the men on the winning team, I hope you enjoyed the view. :-)
Disappointed in Toronto :-(

I totally agree. Seemed like a feeble attempt to sex up the show for ratings or something, but to me it just came off rather pathetic. Maybe next week's reward will be free silicone implants for the women?

I agree. Donald and Hugh are cut from the same mold - I should say "moldy" -women seem to be objects to them. I liked the Apprentice show before, but the Playboy mansion as a reward? with all those air head silicone fluff girls? give me a break. for 2 men who are supposed to be such fantastic businessmen - I think their brains are in their zippers. How dumb are they? do they ever look in the mirror? do they think they get these trophy wives and girlfriends because of anything other than their money? how pathetic! do they really think anyone with any brains is impressed by their lifestyles and their bimbos? goodbye Apprentice show for me, you sank to the bottom of the barrel now.

Playboy Mansion as the reward. Fired the good-looking gay businessman who had the guts to take a risk. The Donald and Heff both looked very old and very pathetic in this episode. Not to mention prejudiced and sexist. The bunnies were ugly. The decisions were bad. And the tents stink. One more show along these lines and I will stop watching.
**** they are old and both seemly getting more pathetic. Trump was on the right track taking on Rosie, but giving her amunition like this coupled with his unbelievable comments about Condi Rice have really turned me off to him and therefore his show.
I'd rather read than give him anymore of my time. His ego has fianlly gotten the better of him, he has become shameless.

Next thing, a future reward would be hiring $1,000-an-hour p o r n star escorts for the winners. The Playboy Mansion was step one.

Hi gals/guys;
I agree it was completely a stupid brain dead move(not the first, second, or third for this season either), but it's more idnicavitve I believe of a complete failure on trumps part to galvanize his east coast connections.
Frankly what the lame azzed prizes so far this season are showing me, is that east coast connections don't necessarily correlate to west coast connections.
Trump appears completely out of his element on the West Coast.
He appears to be calling on his east coast connections to make things happen on the west coast which apparently means nasty things will happen like non fashion conscious people will be selected as seemingly inept swimsuit buyers.

I agree - not a great reward for the team. Maybe if it was just talking business with Hugh it could have been okay - but a party with the bunnies - uggghhh. Hugh is an interesting business man - that for sure - but why was the focus of the party awith the bunnies over his business sense?
I like last week's reward with dinner with Donald at Spago with Wolfgang Puck - Wolfgang being a good business man combined with casual talk with Donald - now that is a good reward.
Here's hoping for more rewards like the first.

Hi Armchair,
See I had a problem with last week's prize as well. Wolfgang spent all of what -- two minutes -- with the winning team?
He spent next to no time at all with the winning team leaving trump there.
Honestly I was a little embarrassed for the trump really because it was so obviously a contracted event which didn't require much at all from Wolfgang, which of itself says a lot about trump's clout on the west coast.
In fact it required so little from Wolfgang that it necessitated trump's presence because without it it wouldn't have been a prize so much as dinner out at a decent restaurant.

I see your point Gelato - still a good prize because for once it appeared as though Donald was there to dine / chat with them vs. show-off a Trump residence, product, or whatever. I do agree though, Wolfgang should have been around longer and stayed to enjoy dinner and his journey to success. Not sure if it has to do with Trump's clout in LA or editting.

my last comment on the Playboy mansion reward: these two (Hugh and Trump) "has been playboys" have been so obsessed by sex all their lives, now that they are in the "denentia" stage of their lives - that appears to be the ultimate accomplishment of their careers. how sad, how shallow - plastic women for senile shallow old men. Rosie has a point about Trump, even though I dont like Rosie. Its really laughable when Hugh opend the door in his bathrobe, and his 3 "girlfriends" mull around him - I wondered if it was the great grandfather getting ready to read the youngsters their bedtime story . As if anyone in their right minds believes he can get anything going with these young girs - he is even beyond the Viagra stage of life. he probably keeps them around to take turns at night checking on his sleep apnea that the elderly get.

I couldn't agree more - is this 2007 or 1957? How could anyone at NBC support bringing the winning team to the Playboy mansion for an evening hanging out with the bunnies? That's not to say that Hugh Hefner is not a remarkable business leader but the clips of men on the team hanging on to models in bikinis frolicking in the pool were unbelievable. I was already of the view that Donald Trump had jumped the shark with this series but now I also have to agree with Rosie - he is a sad and pathetic old man who is seriously out of touch and his daughter should be ashamed to be associated with this. I will not be watching the show again and my guess is he has alienated a large number of educated, successful women who were tolerant of the show's casting of primarily thin, pretty women with lots of hair and teeth - clearly a double standard when looking at some of the men selected.

This season had definitely been disappointing. I alway admired Mr. Trump for taking risks, but as he told Kerry in the board room, some risks are educated risks, and others STUPID..
I am a very liberal man who has no trouble discussing sex, and even how it sells. But, when I watch a show where a man introduces his wife and new baby on the first episode, and then turns around and says "Very Nice" while two playboy bunnies strut their stuff around him, I draw the line. He has not only offended women and gay America (in 2 episodes?!?), he has also offended business professionalism, and family ethics.
I never thought I would be siding with Rosie on anything, but Mr. Trump has officially signed himself on for some terrible ratings. It has been a wonderful few years (..really) of watching the Apprentice, but it's fair to say that I wont be watching it anymore. The carwash task was pathetic (we raised $ in our high school fundraiser for carwashes), the rules are starting to bore me a little, and I believe that Donald Trump is history.
As a young businessman, I had dreams of one day applying for the Apprentice, when I had more accomplishments than just graduating with top honors and having started my own small (yet decently successful) business. I put that dream to sleep last night. No-one, my friends, family, or myself would be proud of ME if I went on this silly show.
Adios Apprentice!

I thought the show was going down hill last year and thought it would rally with this years. I am disappointed with it too.
The "tasks" are childish and redundant, how many fashion shows and creating fashions can you have and still inspire interest?
If the NEXT week the winning team doesn't have to do the task HOW THE HECK CAN ANYONE WIN or lose??? You have 2 teams a winner and loser, if the winner doesn't play.. how does that work??
The playboy bunny thing was ridiculous as a winning prize... you mean to tell me there is NOTHING else worthwhile and meaningful for people to do on the West Coast???? I think it was also very insulting to the winning women on the team why would they want to go hang out with women in bikini's and bunny ears?? Now if you got a tour of the mansion, got to talk business, and a free complimentary gift bag well maybe a better deal.
I think the "rewards" have gotten pretty lame....

As a one-time "west coast" creative business woman who also must deal with the "east coast" business male mentality after a move I was certanly not surprised but annyoyed at the reward for the Trina Turk* challenge. Also to mention, I love the show "Girls Next Door" (especially Bridgette) and personally did pose for PB in a "women's" issue many years ago, so I don't have a hang-up about Heff, bunnies or the mansion-but am disappointed at the way the reward was concepted/delivered.
+ If the reward was to really dig deep with Heff about his biz, triumps, challenges, etc... that would have been interesting. Heff did mention some tidbits about how/why but it wasn't a two way conversaton (team to Heff and Heff to team).
+ Heff should have brought his daughter Christie to the discussion. Although she is his daughter, she is also a savvy buisiness person who happens to be a woman running a company that targets mainly men. That would have been an interesting and insightful discussion, and more business related.
+ The bunny party was RIDICULOUS. If it had to happen there should have been hotties on both the female and male side, especially bc the winning team had mainly women oh and a gay man.
+ When I reward my team I think of what the "team" would like, not me. It should be a reward for everyone.
In short I feel that the show is moving into a more sensationalized version and one that is not that interesting. I don't like the focus on tent city and no focus on the challenge (meeting the owners, downloading information, brainstorming and forming a plan).
* Trina Turk challenge was a DISASTER. Even if one is not familiar with the brand a quick gander at her website will reveal that her male audience DOES in fact skew gay. Were the buyers at the beach the SAME buyers that would come to a showing produced by Trina herself? I have strong doubts about the buyers (who are yes the first target)--who are they, who are they buying for? Were those buyers skewed for women? What were the male sales of the winning team? What does Trina Turk think about this fiasco? Obviously she is NOT homophobic and her clothes/swimwear do not target the Trump type, nor the safe Walmart type. Her brand is NOT for middle America OR the conservative. IF the challenge was to design a "Trump" line or a "Wallmart" line or even a "Billabong" my reaction would have been different. In short the PM should have been fired over Carey. As a Creative Director myself, if my team designs something that the client feels is off-base, well then that is on ME not them because I am the final say. Unless of course they went behind my back.

I would love to visit that place ! How incredible etc.....i would have been mind boggled at the decor, the atmosphere (zero stress)....etc. BUT, being it was mostly a female winning team, I think Hef should have invited some of his male friends over....a treat for the ladies....though they didn't seem to care. Just taking in the atmoshpere etc would be great enough...and of course being the winning team once again!

I could not believe he chose the Playboy Mansion as the winning prize......as others that said on this post, it had to have been done strictly for the ratings. What makes him think a group of women would be head over heels to hang out by the pool alongside some scantily clad Playboy bunnies. Contrary to what most men fantasize about....not all women are open to being attracted to other women and we sure as heck don't get off by looking at other women in bikins!

I really like Donald Trump but I question where his head was at when he gave the team a reward of meeting Hugh Hefner at the Playboy mansion. This whole "playboy" bunny thing seems outdated in this day and age. Even if the winning team was all men, I don't think it was proper. If I were one of the women I think I would have made up an excuse not to go.

Then I really don’t get it, the bland swimsuits won because, why? The reward for bland swimsuits was a visit Mr. Softpornking's mansion? What did the women get?......I'm as confused as the last 2 episodes have been...Trump should have gotten a "your fired" for his perceived sexist reward.
Wasn’t Carey fired because he was perceived to included his sexuality in his designs, or was it that Carey was 'to much' in Trump's mind? I believe the decision to ice Carey was made during the fashion show, check out how uncomfortable Trump was with himself during Carey's show...I would really like to see the tally sheets.
Carey may have been 'to much' on the runway, but it was in the framework of the fashion show....would Trump have fired a female for the same?

I totally agree that men would have been very happy with the award. The point is though that it wasn't a group of all men. Not a very inclusive reward for the women of the group. Plus it is a show that is aired during prime family viewing hours. Just not a wise choice in this case.
