Remember the spoilers about the end of WA? The "look" between Jim and Pam? I actually think WA might be a setup for Beach Day, which is where the real JAM action happens. I think the cliffhanger could be between BD and the finale (for Jim and Pam, anyway.)
I'm not sure how it all pans out, but my feeling is that Jim's heart is already pretty much made up as soon as the words are out of Pam's mouth in BD. TJ is just the reinforcer as he watches Karen step on anyone and everyone on her climb up the corporate ladder.....and watches Pam sacrifice for someone she cares for at DM Scranton (could be Michael, or Dwangela, or Jim himself....not really sure). The difference between these two women will seal the deal for his head, as well as his heart....and from there it's just all tying up loose ends.
That's what I'm hoping for. I must admit to being a little more nervous for this storyline than I have for any other TV storyline, ever (including Meredith's pseudo-drowning

). I'm not entirely sure TPTB of this show don't have a real big ace up their sleeves....ultimately I don't think so, but the seeds of doubt are there. Makes it interesting (and a bit nerve-wracking).

Out of all the spec's I have read, I think your's is the most plausible. It is the most realistic and who the characters really are. I think the part about Jim realizing how Karen is cut throat and Pam is compassionate could ultimately seal the deal for Jim.
My only "concern" is that I read somewhere that the elevator scene had a big red X over it on the script. Not sure the truth to that or not, but if it is true, could that mean it may be cut? Gosh I hope not, that scene would be incredible!

hereI don't know if any of the info is "new" new, it's just nice to have everything gathered in one spot.
Here is the elevator scene spoiler:
[This scene has] got a big X over it which means we may never even see it at all. But here it is anyway:
(First of all the prop list calls for a prop called "Karen's stuff to return.")
CONTINUED:
KAREN: Oh, no, I didn't.
JIM: Shoot. Wonder what happened...
KAREN: Well, it's the thought that counts, and all that.
He smiles. The doors open. Pam gets off, cheeks burning. Jim and Karen exit. Jim glances at Pam as they walk off.
MICHAEL (V.O) I learned a lot about women today.
Scene:
[The episode ends like this: Elevator scene, Michael TH, end. there's a quick description of the Officites leaving the building after work. (No mention of Pam, Jim, or Karen in that.)]
During this:
MICHAEL But any man who says he totally understands women is a fool. Because they are un-understandable.
MICHAEL (V.O.): Jan and I broke up. Why? Because she didn't like one message I left on her voicemail. Well, that's her prerogeragerav...ive. Progrockative. Programmable. Proglaphatic. Agative.
MICHAEL (TALKING HEAD): Proglyphyic. **** it. (beat, then singing quickly) "All these people talkin' all this stuff about me why don't they just let me live. I don't need permission, make my own decisions, that's my pegebrogative. (confidently) Pegabrogative. That's Jan's pegabrogative. (beat) Oh God, what have I done?"

The elevator scene seems like Pam did something bad, like steal Karen's stuff, then Jim covers for her and they exchange knowing glances. To me, "cheeks burning" means that Pam is embarrased. What do you huys think?
dinkin'_flicka
Apr 21 2007, 09:03 AM
I interpreted it as Pam playing some sort of prank on Jim, but with the added bonus of him NOT enjoying the lacy number that Karen bought.

To me "cheeks burning" makes me think that she knows Jim in on to her and while she may be a bit embarrassed, she is also secretly proud of herself for not only pulling the prank by herself (most of them were done with Jim) but also possibly interrupting a little somethin' somethin'.

FNB is just awesome!
Whatever it is she did, I know it something good.
Wasn't it something like Karen accidentally took home Pam's VS bag with the bath robe, instead of the lacy lingerie?
Maybe the elevator scene is from the day after their 6 month anniversary night?
God, wouldn't it be perfect it Pam ruined their romantic night. I'm sure Jim would think it was funny.

I hope it just means they're going to keep the scene but re-write the dialog. I'm not sure how the robe and lingerie would get mixed up because the bag with a robe is going to be bigger and heavier than a bag with just bra and panties, so either one of them would notice right away if they got the wrong bag. Also, there's another scene where Pam uses the robe to wipe her hand while changing a tire (ack, poor robe).
I wonder if it's the next day, and Karen's taking it back because it didn't fit (you can go to the previous page to read what HereComesTreble wrote about the bra Karen's holding up in the picture). And I'm guessing Pam's cheek are burning because she knows why Karen bought the bra and panties: for Jim to see it and then take them off of her. But if Jim notices her embarrassment/jealously, that;s good, right?

My thoughts... The first one is pretty humorous (and unlikely), but I decided to share. The second one seems to be my most feasible speculation.
1.) After feeling sad because she knows why Karen bought lingerie, Pam becomes gutsy FNB. She puts on Karen's lingerie (over her clothes), just to see how it would look on her. Then somehow, Jim catches Pam with all the lacy bits over her clothes
. Pam is so embarrassed, not only because he caught her, but also because of the fact that Jim will/could tell Karen. Of course, Jim doesn't tell Karen, and lingerie-modeling-FNB becomes an infamous JAM secret.
2.) After feeling sad because she knows why Karen bought lingerie, Pam becomes gutsy FNB, and buys a sexy piece of lingerie herself. I'm thinking Blades of Glory here
. After returning to the office, Pam begins to feel foolish for buying something so totally out of her comfort zone, so she slips her lingerie into Karen's bag. Later, in the elevator, Karen notices the second set of lingerie that she did not buy, and says, "OMG! What's this!?" as she pulls out Pam's lacy wear. This is when Pam's cheeks burn. "Maybe you bought it and forgot," Jim says bashfully, since Pam is in the elevator with them. "Oh, no, I didn't," Karen snaps. (I mean really, you would know how many pieces of sexy stuff you're buying, right?) "Shoot, wonder what happened..." Jim remarks. "Well, it's the thought that counts, and all that," Karen concludes. The elevator opens, and Jim glances at Pam as they walk off. And since Jim knows Pam so well, he knows exactly why there are two pairs of lingerie in Karen's bag.

My thoughts are that this scene has to do with something that Jim bought Karen for their 6 month -- Karen wanted to return it when they went to the mall. (The props call for her stuff to return). Perhaps it didnt fit, she didnt like it, he got something about it not quite right. When she is looking at lingerie in the store, it is as a replacement for the gift he got her -- hence Phyllis' "Jim will like that" line. He asks her if she returned the stuff, she says "No i didn't." He is verballing wondering what happened -- like why what he bought her didnt fit, or wasnt what she wanted. And then she tells him,"Its the thought that counts."
So, maybe Pam told him to get her something and it was totally unlike Karen but Pam would have loved it. Either way, I think this about something he bought for Karen that she didnt want.

Love the promo for Product Recall! Jim as Dwight as got to be one of the best pranks ever. Jim has certainly not lost his pranking skills.
I noticed Pam's expression during the exchange - slight smile, eyes widen when she notices the short-sleeve shirt, and trying-not-to-laugh-out-loud grin when Jim gets up to yell "MICHAEL".
What I would love to see.... Karen's reaction to this latest prank? Is she appreciative of Jim's creativity and sense of humor, or is she cringing? Is she getting irritated with Jim that he continues to indulge his "childish" side or is she upset that he won't ever truly be considered "management material" if he keeps this up. (oh yeah, TWSS).
Can hardly wait for Thursday night....

My predictions...
Jim, Karen and Michael all go for interviews while Dwight has been given Michael's position. Dwight must have won the Survivor thing because Dwight's new regime can be no worse than what he has done while Michael has been gone from the office before. So it is my belief that for an episode we will see Dwight at the head of Dunder-Mifflin Scranton. The reason Jan tells Michael to find a replacement is because she thinks Michael will have a lock for the corporate job. Having Jim and Karen go interview is supposed to be a formality but Michael screws up his interview by making an innappropriate comment and ruins his chance at the job leaving Jim and Karen for the position. Jim is given the position but decides to stay after some sort of Jam moment leaving Karen heading to cooperate by elimination. Michael takes his old job back because the show is based around his uncanny style of management and there is no way that the show could survive with Dwight in Michael's position, it just wouldn't work.

Karen and Jim in NYC Photo Thread! What could this be? There was no audio for the scene, and acording to reports nothing much seemed to happen. John doesn't have his Jim hair, maybe he gets a haircut on the show? Maybe Karen moves to NYC and this is them saying goodbye? Maybe a flashback for Season 4?

OK, my head is still spinning from those NY pics. Anyone else?
Jim's hair. Could this be the "big" development in the finale that's been referenced? The "big change", perhaps? (This is only partially tongue in cheek).
Also, one thought occurred to me. Sometimes the shots look like Jim and Karen, and sometimes RJ and JK. And Ryan with the camera, if he took enough pics, would have sometimes caught them in character and sometimes not. Makes me wonder if the more reflective photos are Jim and Karen and the happier, lighter photos are actually between takes.
(And, Ryan notes that RJ did wave to him. So it stands to reason that in some shots, she was out of character/not filming).
Bleh. It's a stretch for sure, as the scenario where Jim and Karen get engaged in the finale seems every bit as likely right now.

Recorderalways, look what you did with your "engaged" talk!
Jim may be in a fair amount of denial right now, but I don't think he's anywhere near "popping the question" to Karen.
I initially freaked out a little at news of that NYC shot, but I'm really starting to think it's not going to amount to anything important. We already know Jim and Karen are interview in NYC in the finale, so I imagine NYC shot will end up being a quick couple scenes towards the beginning of the finale, maybe with a voice over of Jim saying something about how he does have a good time with Karen, before he witnesses her go into her cutthroat, competitive mood at the interviews.

Good. Just send me your email address. Your astute attention to each and every post made on this board fills my heart with joy. In fact HoesNoMo, I am going to appoint you Captain of the Unofficial Board Police, referenced through the rest of this post as UBP.
Cpt. HoesNoMo, I fully expect you to enforce the following gross injustices by utilizing your impressive posting power:
1.) Please publically point out, in your most holier-than-thou manner, any post made here that was already mentioned before, no matter how obscure or old the previous post was or no matter how well-intentioned the current post is.
2.) In your role of captain of the UBP, no mercy must be shown. I strongly suggest you investigate the Pam and Jim threads on here..as they REPEATEDLY post SIMILIAR information about shows, characters, and quotes. It is incumbant upon you to reply to each of these posters informing them of their errors.
3.) Make sure any topic, no matter how funny or serious, is only mentioned ONE time and ONE time only. Any duplication of such topics much be dealt with swtifly and with your most snobbish reply. Any failure to do so may result in your demotion in the UBP.
From what little I have seen from you Cpt. HoesNoMo, I know you are the right person for this job. Good luck, and God Speed.

Jam4Eva,
A brief synopsis of the clip:
Jim comes into work with his hair slicked down and somewhat parted in the middle. He has bangs like Dwight. He is wearing a yellow SHORT SLEEVE shirt and tie and carries a briefcase.
He gets to his desk, checks his pager on his belt loop, puts down his briefcase, mumbles something about it being blurry, puts his Dwight glasses on says "much better" or something to that affect (effect?).
Dwight doesn't notice anything out of the ordinary until:
Jim: Question, which kind of bear is best?
Dwight: That is a ridiculous question.
Jim: False! Black bear.
Dwight: That's debatable. There are basically 2 schools of thought
Jim: Fact, Bears eat beats. Bears, Beats, Battlestar Galactica
Dwight: What is going on? What are you doing?
(Jim does a talking head about how it all started with the $4 glasses he found at a drug store, and then he found the shirt for $7. He adds it all up on his calculator watch and says he put it all together for $11.)
Dwight: You know what, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so I thank you.
(Jim takes out a bobblehead head and puts it on his desk)
Dwight: Identity theft is not a joke, Jim! Millions of people and families suffer every year.
Jim: MICHAEL! (gets up from his desk and walks toward M's office)
Dwight: Oh that's funny. MICHAEL! (Dwight follows Jim to M's office)
OK so much for short synopsis. It was hilarious though.

Hi all-
I have no insider info or anything and anyone that may is forbidden to post in this thread....
So I ask you all...What will happen in the finale this season? They have to do a lot to top Casino Night. The setup of that ending scene was brilliant and may never be topped.
Here are my theories:
1.) Angela tells Dwight that she is pregnant.
2.) Jan proposed to Michael (I'm not sure on this one...but something will happen with them)
3.) Jim will get offered the big corporate job and will urge Jan or the CFO or whoever is making the decision to offer the job to Karen (Karen won't know this part).
4.) Pam will hear that Jim was offered the job and assume that he took it. She will drown her sorrows in alcohol at a bar with Ryan and Kelly and some of Ryan's business school friends...Meanwhile, Jim will race back to Scranton and arrive at Pam's apartment (with one kitchen) just as Pam is seen making out with one of Ryan's B-School friends on their way inside her apartment.
I deserve a prize if I get 2 out of 4 of these...
