FYI: there wont be a war when there is a new episode during the week. With 22 days left till April 5th, I dont forsee another war , but there may be a break in between 2 new episodes that WWIII can be done....

A Day to Remember

Tuesday, March 13, 2007 will go down in history. We accomplished many things. We had 16/20 of the top poster spots, Roy_Anderson started a thread that recieved over 3000 replies in 24 hours, and I'm pretty sure Darth Schrute is the first person to ever post over 1000 times in one day! I'm writing this so we can remember everything that we accomplished today.

In Roy's thread, people were allowed to post ONE word per post. At the end of the day, the total posts from each poster was added up. These are the results of this amazing game! I'd like to thank Officeholic for compiling this list.



We broke 15 positions in the 500 club throughout the day. Two users (Going Mach 5 and Darth Schrute) broke two posting milestones, Roy's thread broke three thread milestones, and many others accomplished other amazing feets. This is a log of all the events as they were added to the list:

Finally, we nearly accomplished our main goal: taking over the top 20. We had 16 out of 20 positions held at the end of the day. In the first war, we only managed to get half the spots filled. This is a great improvement! Here is a list of the top 20 posters as of Midnight (Eastern time) March 13. I would like to thank Sharladawn for the pic.



Darth Schrute managed an amazing 1075 posts in 24 hours. He joined our board on February 13, exactly 1 month ago, and has reached 1301 posts in a month with an average of 46 posts per day. We should all give him major props for his dedication to the cause. Way to go! And to everyone else who participated, thanks. None of us could have done it without you. In order to post like this, we need to interact with each other. If only a few people decided to participate, we would not be as successful as we are. So, to everyone who posted to help out the cause, I thank you again, and I hope to see you next time.

And here's an aftermath pic. The top 20 are re-calculated constantly for the preceding 24 hour time span. I guess some of the Passions posters must have been their busiest the day before yesterday, as many of them have fallen off the list.

Wow, yesterday was fun! There sure are a lot of flans out there that are dedicated to this message board and I'm proud to be one of them! I started out yesterday with only 226 posts and a goal of ending the day with 500 total posts. After 954 "quantity" posts to Roy's one-word-post thread and 346 "quality" posts to other threads I ended up with over 1300 total!

I wanted to thank scottyskater77 and the other generals for organizing this fun event. I'd also like to thank all those that kept encouraging me to post more and especially mixedberries for my favorite nickname of the day: jackhammer. Also, thanks to Big-O and Little-O for letting chaos reign in their realm during this war. I had a lot of fun thanks to everyone that participated!

I agree with BJB 100% - I feel like I have a hangover. What a day. I think I'm gonna take it easy over the next few days.

I all I can say is that I completely agree with all of you about having a post war hangover. I just woke and really don't think I can make though my english class later today, I guess I will have to try my best not to fall asleep while reading poetry (if that's possible).

Surprisingly to me there was no true chaos yesterday! It went pretty smoothly and I dont think anyone was offended. I did build up this name more than I thought i would! FYI i have this extra name when my Office-holic gives me trouble, which is often.

Yes, you were the very definition of a posting machine yesterday! I think as the top producing poster you will have to give a speech at the next convention. I hear Diapers and muffyduffy are both excellent public speaking coaches.

You have no idea how funny that whole conversation was. Muffy tossed a(n inside) joke grenade that night that took me months to figure out. I nearly wet myself when it finally went off.

From what I remember, last year Diapers just downloaded a speech from the internet. It started something like "Four score and seven years ago ... "

I think that pretty much says it all. I've lost people when I've ended conversations with "San Dimas High School Rules". It just means that I've started to ramble.

I've also lost people when saying, "I thought you said, "You're alright, Spider", which means that I got confused. I hear that more often, now that Goodfellas gets played on TBS four times a week.
