Okay, forgive me for this post, but I have always wondered & finally have the courage to ask - what exactly is a posting war??? How does it work? What's the purpose? I am ready for the ridicule I am about to receive.

I was just wondering the same thing. Isn't it great to be so naive?

I'm not going to be able to participate much, but I do have a plan. I've decided today that I'm going to stay up for the first hour and post as much as I can. Then tomorrow, if I can at some point in the day, I will try to steal an hour and post like mad again. I'll be at my parents, so there are no guarantees, and sometimes their computer is just plain slow. Best of luck everyone!!!!

Basically, the Post War is an event that takes place for 24 hours. We post as much as we can, and try to take over the 'top 20 posters' positions on the entire nbc message boards. Last time, we managed to hold 16 out of the 20 spots! Basically, post as much as you can from Midnight (tonight) to Midnight (tomorrow), and try to get on the top 20! At the end of the day on Friday, we gather all the results and see what happened! So, expect the boards to be a little crazy tomorrow.

Yes, but be reasonable. Still post like you would normally post, but do it as much as you can. This means: no 'one word' replies, no posts with just smileys, and don't just say a bunch of gibberish. We're still actively participating in discussions and games, but just at a rapid pace! Usually this thread becomes pretty lively because you can post about anything, war related or not, during the war. It's almost time to advance troops, make sure all you're ready to be deployed and O-zero hours!

I picked the wrong night to take a nap. I asked my husband to wake me up in twenty minutes, but he thought he was being so sweet to let me sleep. Instead, he got snipped at.

Ok, guys. I'm going to go to bed in five minutes. I have to work tomorrow, so I won't be posting a whole lot until I get home around 5:00. Then, I got some leftover pizza in the fridge, so I'm all set for food.

My overall goal is to make at least 300 posts. It seems small for me (twss), but it'll have to do. Of course, I can always change my goal as the day goes by.

On my lunch break tomorrow, I am going to try and do 100 posts in an hour. Last war I had 97 (I think), so I'm going to pull off 100 this time! Wish me luck!! Everyone keep posting!
