I always like Roker as a guest on Conan, but I lost some respect for him this past week when his joke about thinking Peter O'Toole was dead flopped. Peter O'Toole is a legend in acting. He was on Jay just this week and regaled the audience with stories about a trip to South America and mishaps from his stage acting days. He's even in a new movie, Venus, and he's in three other movies that are forthcoming. I thought that Roker's joke about him dating Joan Rivers was even more insulting. I guess being the funny weatherman on Today has kind of gone to his head. I mean, that was just disrespectful, and the studio audience didn't find it funny in the least, either. I'm actually a little surprised that part of the show made it to air. I really hope somebody writes an apology to Peter O'Toole, because it was like a John Kerry joke where you start off talking about the state of the world, and by the end of it the flub is so bad it's unspeakable.

I agree that this "joke" seemed like a huge faux pas and can't believe it made it to air either. Many of Al's "jokes" seemed very risque, and he mainly came off as angry and bitter. He should perhaps stick to doing leg raises on the floor with Conan.
