Is there a standard list of symptoms because I've been told several times by my friends that I am addicted to heroes.
At first they thought it was normal; just a boy watching a popular television show. Then I the season finished but my craving for heroes continued. So I read all the Graphic Novels, and started going on the forum sites.
Eventually I started rewatching episodes, spending way too much time on heroes related sites and even bringing up heroes in everyday conversation. It went to the extent where my friend challenged me to not speak of Heroes for a whole day... I lost within half an hour.
Now they are starting to worry about me but I assure them I'm fine.
I told them I'm not addicted.
They responding by telling me that's what an addict would say.
I still don't think I'm "addicted" despite the the evidence my friends and family have against me. So how do you really know when you are obsessed? Is there like a certain moment? Or do you gradually fall deeper and deeper into it?

Same with me...Whenever someone mentions a name from Heroes my ears perk up and I get interested
Here's just a list of things that might indicate you are severely addicted to heroes:
1. You have spent several hours in front of a clock with a very concentrated face, trying to see if you can stop time or move it backwards.
2. You yell YATTA! every time you accomplish something.
3. You wear a pair of Horned-Rimmed Glasses, even though you don't need glasses, just to feel cool.
4. You have attempted to paint the future.
5. You have a pet dog and you've named (or renamed) it Mr. Muggles
6. Every time someone forgets something you say "The Haitian...", even though they have no clue what you're talking about.
7. You've poked/cut/scratch/injured yourself and stared at the wound expecting it to heal itself.
8. You draw the symbol everywhere.
9. You've injured yourself trying to fly.
10. You do the nuclear hand motion (the one Ted and Sylar do when they have the power).
11. You stare at people when they talk to you and see if you can read their minds.
12. You've run into a wall trying to run through it.
13. You try to "talk" to your appliances when they aren't working.

Hi I am Jenna and I am a Heroes addict, it started last year, but I really fell into addiction this past season when I discovered the boards. Now half of the things I do find a relation to Heroes and treasure my pics with Adrian. I am a moderator at the Savenathanpetrelli.com forums, since I am completely saddened by the possible death of a character. Half the things I asked for for Christmas were Heroes related, tomorrow I will find out what I got . Even though personally I am not a big Hiro/Charlie person, just to get a new dossage of Heroes I plan on buying and reading the new novel (hoping that there is some reference to Nathan buried in the pages).
Maybe I need to visit the subset of HAA, the Nathan Addicts Anononmous too

Hello, I'm Rapidwhirl, and I'm a heroes addict. I don't know when I was officially declared an addict by my older brother, but it was a long time ago. I do know I'm obsessed, if not passionate, because I've memorised most of the cast names and look for them in the begining credits. Even though my family doesn't celebrate Christmas, I still hoped to get something Heroes related. I PM ideas and jokes to people who I know can weave them skillfully into fan-fictions and images; because I don't have the time or experiece to make my own. It has been, and continues to threaten to rain all afternoon, but I'm still outside leeching from a neighbor. Even if it did start raining I would probably resort to dialup. There are at least three ant holes around me, and already had to brush two of the insects off the laptop.

I want to take this time to thank my sponsor...brainchick. Without her, I would not have made it this far. She has really helped me through the tough times. Take last night for instance. I was so close to staying up and feeding my Heroes addiction. But, no! She got me through it. For that...I thank her. I'd also like to appologize to my friends. I know they get tired of hearing of my addiction, but yet they still take the time to lend an ear; to give a shoulder to cry on. They truly are my friends. As are all of you who share my pain.
Ok...wow...*tears up* ok I lied. (gives back the 3 week chip) I watched the Villains promo on youtube yesterday. Both the 54 sec one and the 33 sec one. I'm so ashamed. I'm sorry to let ya'll down. My parents knew to get me the Season 1 DVD because they know HirosLover + 23 episodes of Heroes = peace and quiet for parents.

This hasn't happend to me, but my friend had a great dream about Heroes! She was one of the Heroes, but with no ability. Hiro wasn't there, so it was like she was in his place, & she had his sword! They all went to face Sylar. It was like this:
Sylar: I want you
Her: What?
Sylar: I want your power.
Her: I don't have a power.
Sylar: Yes you do.
Her: No I don't!
At some point, he then says he loves her. He then says something about not being bad & in fact there are two sides to Sylar (like Niki/Jessica, but she is still alive, so he didn't take her power.) She then gets taken away to Isaac's place & they are actually doing 'it' (eww.)
All the heroes come to save her & they are shocked that she is with Sylar. There are now two Sylars.
Peter: Oh great, now there's two of 'em.
Her: No, one is good.
Both Sylars fight each other, & the bad one is winning & pretends to be the good one, but she can see that he isn't the good one, because I think then she kisses the good one, & her power is then released, which is the Phoenix (she explained to me that a Phoenix needs love, & this is when it happens.) Peter is still not sure about her being with Sylar. She then destroyes Sylar, & that's it!
How cool was that!? I wish I had a dream like, but I have had one dream. It was with Mohinder in the Parasite episode, but it was similar. Instead of the gun scene, something else happened, but I forgot what! Grrrr!

Thought about, & drew Sylar, Hiro & Peter as no more than one minute sketches to copy from. I took longer on Sylar though & looked okay, but Peter & Hiro were another story, XD! I want to do a comic & post it on deviantart!
