I'd like to see it, but as most have agreed, it would have to be done at the end of the show. Is it absoutely out of the question? I don't think so. I believe it might just happen when the series is ready to come to a close.

of course elliot cares. as a friend and partner, yes. i'd love to see them hook-up, but not just yet. as i said before, am still having a grand time watching how their up-and-down friendship goes.

I think Olivia and Elliot care about each other enough. I really can't address if one cares a little more than the other does because really that it too hard to know.

As Chris Meloni has said, there is sexual tension between Elliot and Olivia, which is held in check by their morality.

I would love to see Elliot and Olivia eventually get together...towards the last few episodes of the series. For now, I'll watch the chemistry between them and make due with hints.

Honestly, I think they care for each other equally. Elliot closed off people around him because of the personal things going on in his life. He was trying to deal with that, and he wasn't doing a good job if it at all.

Olyvia has always been an independent kind of person. She keeps her emotions to herself. Understandably, she wants to protect herself, and because she's constantly centering her life around work, that's where all her emotions go towards.

Elliot/Olyvia would be love. Although, if they did it in the show, it would be a disaster. I'll keep dreaming though =).

I really just want to see a conversation between them two, like a deep down touching conversation between two best friends.

I don't know if it would be a disaster but it would change up the show. If it does happen then viewers better be prepared for the ending to be near.

Elliot and Olivia have a lot going on in thier lives right now. I think that at this point in they shouldn't get together. Elliot is still having separation issues with Kathy and Olivia just found out that she has a brother as a rapist and it looks as though in Philadelphia she gets herself into some trouble with Cragen as well as Elliot. They need to find some solid ground first before bringing a partner romance to the forfront. At least that is my opinion on the now.

In the future I do believe that they can love eachother like no one else could. Even Kathy herself had stated that Olivia knows things about Elliot that she will never understand and I do not believe that it is because they are partners. Olivia has always gotten Elliot to be able to tell her things that no one else could. She has the ability to bring Elliot out of some pretty bad situations and he trusts her. The same goes for Elliot. He is able to be there for Olivia in ways not pertaning to work. Her childhood wasn't exactly happy and neither was Elliot's. His father was menatly and physically abusive. He and Liv have a lot in commen. They can read eachother and know just what to do to make eachother smile.

I do believe that before the show ends they should definatly hook up. But right now the two have way too many issues to deal with and if they do get together too soon it can almost ensure that they will not last.

In my opinion, it's exactly because their partners. Elliot doesn't open well, and he could open to Olyvia because she sees the things he sees. Elliot would never go home, to tell his wife the horror stories that he goes through every day, because he wants to protect his family. I mean, in the third season, Elliot said things were getting a little bumpy in his marriage, and Olyvia told him that he needs to stop closing himself off to his wife, or he'll lose the best thing he's ever had.

Now, Elliot and Olyvia are pure love, and I can definently see that they can be something to each other that they both need. Right now though, that something needs to be close friends, because their emotions are everywhere right now. If they take things too quickly, it could definently ruin things pretty badly.

No they should not hook up. The only thing they have in common is work and that is usually all they talk about together. Very seldom do you see them talk about anything other than work related stuff if at all.

Well, they need to keep this show based on the fighting criminals aspect of it. I mean, they can't have too many conversations that aren't work related because they only have 44 minutes to get this entire episode shown, which isn't much time to fit in idle chit chat.

Okay...I STILL say I'm not a true 'shipper'...but I was SO GLAD to see Elliot's concern for his friend in this last episode. So maybe I'm turning a 'shippy' corner!!

But the point of my post...has anyone listened to the Dixie Chicks song "Easy Silence?" I just bought thier CD, and listening to that song... I couldn't help think of Elliot and Olivia (in Philadelphia.) If you have nothing else to do...check out the lyrics.

I would be torn to see Elliot with another woman, I was real upset when it seemed as though he and Dani were going to get together. I know that when the kiss happened and Olivia saw it, it tore her apart, I does appear that they love each other on the show, they work great together, it seems as though they are already married or at least together.
I like Dani on the show, but not with Elliot. I would rather see him with Olivia first. I actually could see Elliot and Olivia together as they basically seem like they are now.
I would like to see more of the other characters on the show, it seems as though Munch, Ice T and a few others should get more air time, they are all great actors.
I like the DA lady, I lost her name in thought here, but she would not fit with Elliot either in my opinion.

I think that I have been a shipper fan from the beginning. Even though I didn't know that there was a proper term for it when I first started watching the show.

I love the tension between El and Liv. I wouldn't want it any other way. As much as I really want El and Liv to get together, it's almost like the tension between them is enough to satisfy my imagination. I know that they won't get together any time soon, but I am hoping that by the ten years that they have been together, something happens. I'm not going to say that we will get a little somethin' somethin' but I can only dream.

I have also noticed, as I am sure that you all have, that Elliot and Olivia have been calling each other by El and Liv. I think that is so cute. Almost like pet names. I think if I remember correctly that El started calling Liv that first and then Liv finally started to call him El. I have been calling them El and Liv for a long time, so it was cool that they started to as well.

Yeah...Elliot has been calling her "Liv" since just about since the beginning, to my recollection.

He did refer to her as "Livi" once, in the ep. "Wanderlust." (Guess someone decided to nix that nickname!)

I know she's called him "El" before..., though I can't recall specific eps...but for some reason...my husband (long time viewer) seemed to think this was something new this Tuesday night. He said "since when does she call him 'El'?"

In a previous show this season, she text messaged "El" while Stabler was in his appartment and she was at his door! I think.

After watching Philadelphia the writers for this show need to get away from this back and forth between Stabler and Benson. Look we get it a lot of angst between Elliot and Olivia but please enough with these two. Every other episode has become about a study of their partnership. Enough already get back to the basics on this show about crime and punishment investigations courtroom drama. Thats what the entire Law and Order series is about not "if this person or that person should hook-up" seriously if your looking that there about a million other shows out there that offer that kind of fare. Characters hooking up is one of those things that may sound great in fanfiction or in your own head but on the screen it can be absolutely disastrous.

blueeyedgal, the ADA lady is Casey Novak, and thanks for the image burnt in my brain, Elliot would be sooo wrong for Casey! I always had some trouble with his anger and they wouldn't be right together in my opinion.

I agree also. I like the occasional scene filled with tension, but when it's a whole episode, it get's to be too soap operaish, and the whole unexpected thing that I love about this show, becomes [shrugs] expected.

They have, like you said, at least two seasons left. They can still have Elliot/Olivia scenes, just not 50% of the show.

I'm just really tired of the whole them together, then we need to see if they work well together, then they find out they can't work without eachother, so now their back together. Now we're doing the whole we need to see if they work well together, and it's obvious that their going to find out they need to stay together thing again. I understand they probably shot this episode during negotiations, but something new would have been nice, especially since we JUST had this.

I saw 'Rage' last night!! What a grand episode! Elliot was totally so hot in this episode! He was so shaken he wouldn't shoot his 14-year old kidnapper, rapist and murderer suspect.

*Sighs* Elliot declined to a coffee time offer by Olivia. That would be something else. I love this part when Elliot asked why Olivia shot the guy... she replied she knew Elliot would really finish his suspect off.

Instead, he unleashed his anger by punching the locker several times... ouch that hurt... Poor baby! I wish Olivia heard the banging and came back to bandage his hands... That really smarts!

I felt the same way. I loved this episode. I just wish that USA would air more season 6 episodes. It is my favorite season, besides 8 that is. Elliot looked so scary when he decided to use the yell at the guy for a couple hours tacitic. I think I even saw him spit in the guys face. That was gross. I also loved the scene where Olivia shot the guy first. She was protecting Elliot. fuzzy feelings I loved her response. "I knew you would kill him."-Olivia "He deserves to die."-Elliot If I were in Elliot's place I would have felt the same way. Olivia got Elliot out of some serious trouble. You know IAB would have had his badge and I think the perp knew it. He was feeding off of Elliot's anger in order to get Elliot into some serious trouble. The cool thing was that Olivia knew it. My favorite scene had to have been when Elliot asked Liv to let Elliot do the interigation alone. "He called you my babysitter!" LOL! I am sad to say that she is Elliot. You could tell that Olivia wasn't happy with Elliot after that. All in all it was a great eppy! I cannot wait until season 6 comes out on dvd. I bet I will have to wait a few years.

I loved that episode too. I could just feel the anger through the television. The acting was truly amazing. I loved all the scenes with Olivia and Elliot, especially the one at the end where she really helped out Elliot.

Aaw... Elliot is so protective of Olivia in 'Stalked'. He even came by to pick her up to go to work together.
