Full Version: In next weeks preview.......
NBC > Primetime > Friday Night Lights

Did I hear her right????? Tami said she's having a baby??????????
OMG, now that would just be the end all.....Anyway........the commercial said "Season Final Episode" not "Series FInal Episode" why do folks keep saying it wont be picked up next year by NBC??????

If it's storyline they cant come up with...I got a few for them..lol....

Last nights show was awesome...with the exception of leaving out Lyla's little million dollar destruction tantrum...they did us proud.

I do not like that the "next door lady" broke it off with TimRIggins, cause I adore Bo....FNL writers need to find a place for this kid and keep him.....Bo makes me love TimRiggins even more....I love the person TimRiggins is when he is with Bo....however, we did get a kick out of Tim pulling up in Tyra's drive way....my husband said "I knew it, I knew it"..lololol.....

And this Lyla and Street thing...give me a break Jason...I hope they make Lyla a little more edgy in the next season and not such a door mat...."Screw you" was sweet.

But the kicker was Tami telling Eric she wasnt moving to Austin...I came off the couch hoopin and hollerin....go Tami!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess Coach will be commuting...lololololol

In next weeks preview, I could have sworn Tami said either "Im having a baby" or "I want a baby" which was it??? Did anybody else see that???? OMG, that would just be the best, except I get a feeling Julie is not gonna dig it.

And this Smash and Waverly thing...well, bipolarism is not that disturbing if you are medicated correctly, give me a break this chic is just weird....Not digging the Waverly storyline....Im really more interested in Smash going to the best college, playing fb for the Cowboys or something. I realize everybody needs a love interest, but to me Smash is ALL football. Love made interesting to me is Tami and Eric and Julie and Matt, I'm not even sure right now I want TimRIggins or Jay to have love interest....just play football boys!!!!! (Not you 6, sorry) Now the Landry and Tyra thing would be soooooooooooooo cute, but I dont know how that will play out.

This show is amazing. I love this show and all the charecters, with the exception of Buddy, but we all know every show needs a Buddy.

Just a note to NBC...if you cancel FNL, I will never watch Deal or No Deal or The Apprentice again. (LIke they care)

I'm glad the neighbor lady finally thought of someone besides herself for once and broke it off with Tim. It's too bad she had to jump in the sack with him because Tim could've been, as Bo said, a "big brother" type figure.

I was a little disappointed in Tami. Eric seems to have yielded to her in many instances (i.e. working as a guidance counselor at the school and on the mayor's re-election campaign when he wasn't too crazy about either idea). Now she'll get her way on this too. Not to mention the fact that she and Julie kept Eric hanging on for a week after he had the job offer putting him in a bad spot where he had to accept or reject the offer immediately upon his visit to TMU. I think if she would've told him right out he should reject the offer he would have rejected it. I wonder if the baby referenced in the preview is her way of making sure they stay in Dillon?

I'm ignoring the above OT rant.

The coach's wife did say she was having a baby. And it did say "SEASON FINALE" not series finale. So there is hope.

Well the way I understand it to be is that at first she was ALL for the job at TMU. BUT once reality set in (that Coach was 99.9% going to accept the coaching position), the influence she was having on Tyra to get her to try to do well in school and then the assault incident. She realized that she was needed in Dillon. It's not about Julie not wanting to leave Matt (although I am sure a big consideration for them). When Landry felt comfortable enough to go to her about what happened and then seeing all of the kids she has helped there at the Roast and her little speech... it made her realize that she isn't just some guidance counselor... she can help these kids because they trust her.

So I don't think what she is doing is unreasonable at all. We want them to stay in Dillon! LOL

I totally agree. It amazes me how the episodes, especially the last six or so, have just gotten stronger and stronger in terms of the plotlines. I don't know how they could top any of it if/when the second season begins.

And it's so cool to see Landry be more than "comic relief" and become a leading character.

I happen to like the Waverly/Smash storyline, especially in the last episode that shows that Smash does care about things outside of football. It kinda showed a side to his personality that hadn't really been seen since the whole racism incident.

And speaking of Smash ... get Smash's mom off the sidelines and get her more screen time! She was great early in the series, and I miss her.

I agree, im also glad they haven't made the steroids thing come up again.

I almost think they would have had to do away with the older neighbor relationship. Riggins isn't 18 and the neighbor was supposed to be quite a bit older. This was kind of an ethics issue here. It could have made her look like a pedifile or something if they would have kept it up. What about statchtory rape? I think Tim needs to get involved with the "new girl" in school from next season!!!!

I agree that the situation between Tim and Neighbor Lady is unethical. But a pedophile is someone who preys on children and has a sick obsession with children. I don't see that here. Inappropriate yes, pedophile no. Another thing that a court would look at is the position of authority the adult has over the minor. Neighbor Lady is not in a position of authority here.

Statutory rape does not apply here because the legal age of consent in Texas is 17.

I think Tim and the neighbour lady was just to get him to grow up a little bit. It's not a situation of a pedophile, it couldn't last though. I think Tim and Lyla are right at the point where they can have something real now. Jason is a different person and he and Lyla don't make sense anymore. It was just staying together out of obligation or nostalgia. Tim still loves Lyla and I think he and Lyla are amazing together.

Of course they have to stay in Dillon!!! And it's not like she purposely got pregnant just to get him to stay....that's ridiculous! But it has been so unfair to Julie moving around constantly and now she's found Matt and they love each other. As a father, he needs to think about his daughter.

Funny, part of me was cheering Tami and part of me was thinking what about Eric's feelings about this too? That's what I love about this show. It's not black and white and the writing and acting makes you feel for so many people and POVs.

And I have to say I started off liking Waverly, then I didn't really care for her when she felt she needed to be telling Smash how to act. But now I like her again. Both of them together. I love them showing how there are other things in life than football to Smash. Their talk about him telling Lyla was so emotional and real. He loves her but he wasn't going to change his mind about that. And then him skipping out on the party because he wanted to be with her was so sweet.

I can't wait for next week to see Eric after she tells him she's pregnant.
