I wanted to create this topic because I've noticed a few JAM flans who are suffering. Our beloved Dunder Mifflin couple has suffered greatly this season. There has been a lack of loving looks, pranking and physical contact. Also, even though we are proud of Pam for her assertiveness in the Break Room of Doom in The Negotiation, the negative JAM atmosphere is getting to some of us.

So, I'm hoping that if you are on the ledge about to jump when it comes to JAM, please come here. Here is the place where we can talk it out, think positive thoughts and get some JAM therapy to better ourselves.

I also want to direct everyone to the Pam Dichotomy and Jim Paradox threads. The wise Scrantonbranch is very gifted at pumping everyone up when it comes to Mr. Halpert and Miss Beesly.

Soooo, I guess we can run this like a kind of group therapy session. Does anyone want to start?

If you go to the NBC page on Youtube here, you'll notice that their banner has the Thursday Night Comedy Done Right line up? For The Office, they didn't put Dwight or Ryan or even Michael who is the star of the show. They put Jim and Pam. That's gotta mean something, right?

I also have good feelings about tomorrow's episode. I think last week's cold shoulder from Jim was to be expected. Now that Roy is history, Pam now can feel free to move into her future (with Jim). As many have said in the PD, every time Pam has a moment or two alone with Jim, she has to remind him just why he fell for her in the first place. She has to be the same warm, funny sweet girl she's always been, but she has to do it with FNB flair! I definitely think Mr. Halpert will take some notice of her tomorrow...

I also feel the same way. I do love every character on this show, but Jim and Pam are soulmates that must be united for all eternity!!!! (How's that for crazy talk, actually I kind of sounded like Kelly there)

I just love the positive energy about tomorrow. I think what we will get is a little babyspoonful of JAM, but it will taste very sweet!

Definitely agree with your prediction. I see good things for JAM tomorrow, but definitely nothing too dramatic. That has to be saved for the season finale . I already mentioned this a little in the Negotiation thread, but watch the entire Dundies episode... amazing Jim and Pam chemistry. The scene after Pam kisses Jim when he's talking about what a great year it was for the Dundies... wow. She looks like a schoolgirl haha. And she comes SO close to putting everything on the table when Angela picks her up... Definitely a good dose of JAM for those feeling down.

I'll be watching a scene for analysis and all I can do is say to myself, "What is going on with his hair?" It looks thinner and just plain weird. Where's that adorable mop top from Seasons 1, 2 and the beginning of this season? I'm done venting now.

It is that wig.... well actually.. ( and I am soo embarassed that I took the time to look) It is like he has small extentions where his bangs and curls are. You can even see tow different colors, I think the top part is real but it is the hair line that freaks me out....

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Something that probably won't happen but it makes me temporarily happy, and well isn't that what this thread is all about?

I was thinking about how in tune Phyllis has been with the whole Jam relationship. It was her that spilled the beans to Karen in TS. Anyone with eyes would notice how horrible Pam looks, especially in TN, I'm hoping Phyllis sees their pain, and decides to do something about it. Maybe mention casually to Karen about how they had such a great connection before Jim transfered or that, she always thought they'd end up together... It would definitely upset Karen and make her more insecure and hopefully push some sort of transfer to NY for her.

I, along with some other MB users, have suspected that Phyllis might be involved in uniting JAM somehow. Buried deep, deep, deep in the annals of this MB is a "Phyllis--Jam Catalyst?" Thread. I started it way back when and it didn't go anywhere, but it has definitely been mentioned before. There have been several subtle instances where Phyllis has been tuned into JAM and I think she wants to see them together as much as we do. It's a long shot, but your thought does hold merit!

What makes me temporarily happy is going back to the good times in season two. I've watched the whole season again this week...it seems to be the only thing that helps this emotional abuse.

Guys I am getting a little down because I just read the JP thread and something that Vinny V said hit me like a ton of bricks.

What if Pam tells Jim, Jim says give me time.. Karen leaves, but then all next season is about Jim dealing with all his crap he has developed over the year.

I just don't know about this.... is this how it would go down?

Pam tells Jim all and tells Jim that he can have all the time in the world to think about the fact that she loves him. Jim dumps Karen, or Karen dumps Jim. Jim tells Pam that he also wants to see where "this" will go but that He has got to over come the rejection and hurt and pain he has had. Pam and Jim then start rebuilding thier friendship with Jim taking all season to really be ready to say he loves Pam too.

I just dont think that sounds like Jim.. I dont know you guys, I mean I do not think I could handle another emotional Jim next season...

help me, every night I try to think of how this is going to work, and every night I scare myself silly....I dont even know what I really want from JAM.. I just want Jim to be as happy as he eve was, I want Pam to be as happy as she can be!! I want season 2 without Roy.

A lot of people have mentioned that maybe this season will end with Jim and Karen breaking up, leaving next season to be the return of S2!Jam as they redevelop their friendship and get together.

These writers are brilliant and everything and I'm sure they could make it work if anyone could, but I don't see how Jim and Pam could possibly be just friends for an extended number of episodes (both of them single) after all that's happened. Jim admitted that he was in love with her. Now that Roy's out of the picture, Jim would only hesitate if he didn't think Pam loved him. But Pam's grown up, so what reason would she have to keep her feelings from him if he wasn't with Karen?

Basically, I'm saying that I'm hoping and strongly considering the possibility of there being major JAM reconciliation THIS season, namely in the season finale. Otherwise, how are the writers going to keep them apart next season?

I could see JAM happening this season if the writers finished it "got them together"( agreeing they both want to be more than friends) this season.. I really do not want another JAM cliff hanger. Maybe Karen.. the whole Oh my what are they going to do about Karen would be a good cliff hanger

Ok, let's look at this rationally. Jim is a man (sorry if I offend any guys on that one...are there any guys here?). Anyways, when Pam spills the beans to Jim about EVERYTHING, he may be shocked and not react. Then, when Pam goes in for the kill and plants a CN-type kiss on him, there will be no "hmmm...what should I do here?" The wall will break and there will be no turning back.

I completely agree. Once Pam puts it out there, that's it. Unless the writer's throw us a curve ball between now and the season finale (which we all know they're totally capable of), I really believe that these last few episodes of the season will push Pam to finally lay it all out on the line herself come the season finale. Or maybe this thread's giving me too much optimism.
