Wow...I go to bed early last night and I missed out on all the fun! You guys were busy plotting and planning and singing and I was catching up on some much needed sleep! It was fun this morning to catch up on 4 pages of posts to see that there is a big competition going on tonight. I must say that I think Karen has to be in several of the scenes tonight simply because we need to see her increasing unhappiness and unease and to see the beginning of the end of Karen Filipelli!! (Poor Rashida...).

I am so excited for tonight. And then I see Pam Halpert's signature pic and can't stop watching Jim and Pam throw their arms up in the air. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those two!!!

Hey JAM friends - I had a terrible thought this morning, which I almost hate to admit since I have been the epitome of JAM positivity. It's not that I'm doubting that they will get together, but I had this feeling that I'm starting to NOT CARE. I am slipping into the indifference zone & I am really scared. I don't want to go watch videos from last year (I stopped watching S2 a long time ago) b/c that only depresses me more. Can anyone help???

hey who's going to be watching the two hour long Gay's Anatomy special? NOT ME!....well I'm DVRin it... But I'm not watching until I watch the office like 50 times.

My husband watches that show, unfortunately. I have tried to sit and watch it with him, but all I do is make fun of the characters and their endless whining. That results in him reminding me that there is another TV in the bedroom and maybe it's time for me to go to bed. He's all nice and sweet when we watch The Office together, but once those doctors come on, he doesn't want to hear from me again!

I hear what you're saying. It's like you are starting to accept that this may not work out for right now, so you are trying to change gears and are focusing on other aspects. I think that this is just a phase and that it will soon pass--at least I hope so!

Hopefully the writers will be able to pull you out of your funk in the next 3 episodes!! Remember, never, ever give up!!

Do you really not care, or are you just trying to brace yourself in case it doesn't happen?? I guess even if they don't get together (blasphemy), I still love the good times they had back then and can watch them knowing that for a time, they were happy together. I love their secret looks and outright good times. I can watch all of that over and over again. It's this season that I may have a hard time with when it's all said and done. I guess it's like when someone that you love dies, you don't want to forget about the happy times, you want to remember them...(and forget the bad times). So...let's just remember to remember the good times with JAM and if it doesn't happen, then we can mourn, but still remember!!!

You are doing what all of us have started to do ( those clever writers) We are bracing ourselves for the bad outcome, because we are just so sure it is going to come! It is something right out of the good old psy book!

Those writers play with our minds! I say keep your guard up cause you never know what is going to happen, but just think normaly in life when you think the worst is going to happen it rarely does, it is when you are not expecting it when that happens. We are expecting it, the writers know that and they are going to pull our strings and play with us.... all of this playing with us means one thing to me.. JAM has got to happen, really if they were not you think they would be pulling our strings this hard?

No giving up! you can say, " I just don't care" but you know in the back of your heart you do! The writers are going to try to push us all there, so that when they do do something it will be that much better! Just keep on listening to that little voice inside your head to not give up, there is a reason that voice is still talking!

Happy thoughts! We've got the positive energy going on! I have to work tonight (BOOOO!) so I won't be seeing the episode until late, but I will certainly be thinking about JAM! I also read the spoiler bars, but I don't know where the clip is you're talking about so I'm going to go look for it. :-) I like being a little bad once in a while... And I can't wait to see who wins this bet tonight! Here's my opinion on tonight's episode (pure speculation). I'm guessing we're not going to see tons of of JAM tonight, since that would be a really big change from last week where we had NONE. But I'm guessing we'll see some, and I'm also thinking this will be a big turning point. You know, setting us up for big things in the last 2 episodes. Can't wait! I agree with what sedimentary said. It's not that I don't care (cuz lord knows I do!), it's that I'm bracing myself for the worst. PH is probably right. TPTB are playing with us. Just think, Jim was helping Pam pick wedding bands in the beginning of CN. Who'd have thought that episode was going to go the way it did? The only difference is that the during the last 3 episodes of S2, They were still in their JAM bubble of flirtation and feigned happiness. There was no animosity and Jim, although unhappy with the looming consequences of the wedding hanging over him, was NOT ignoring Pam. That is what makes the end of S3 so darned painful to watch. But, I do have faith.


The day I started watching The Office was the day I stopped watching and caring about Gray's Anatomy! (Although, my friend updated me on the last two months over coffee at Starbucks last week and I'll say I was unimpressed!)

This is what we need to do Jammers! I love it! We all get Pammed up on Thursdays and then they will have to get together!! My hubby will come home from work at 9 and wonder what the heck is going on because I am not wearing my usual old t-shirt and track pants!

Same here, I used to be obsessed with Greys.. and then I watched the Office! I had no idea what I was missing.

Now when my friend and I get together every Sat. I just listen to her squee about greys.. and let me just say.. what she had told me sounds really really BAD. It sounds like it has already jumped the shark!!

Guys, go to John's media thread and watch the Lisence to Wed trailer. He looks so great, and the movie actually looks hilarious. (mostly because John is awesome). When he proposes to Mandy Moore you can just imagine its Pam at the end of the season and squee a little bit over it! MMmmm

So anyone want to join me in imagining how Jim smells...it will get us through the afternoon and into the new episode! AHHH the sweet smell of Jim!

Reading this thread always brings a smile to my face. It makes me really sad that everyone in the world is not obsessed with the Office....I have to go out to dinner tonight while the show is on, which would be great if I could ask the waitress to beer me a hamburger, or if we could talk about the fate of JAM, but no! I'm gonna have to talk about stupid real life, and ask for things like a normal person!!!

I know what you guys mean about a fleeting JAM indifference. I think it is partly a defense mechanism, a way of preparing ourselves in case it doesn't happen (which, come on you guys, don't lose hope; even if it doesn't happen this season, it could still happen eventually). BUT I also think it is because Pam and Jim - mostly Jim - have both changed so much from last season that it is hard to imagine things going back to the idyllic JAM of season 2. Pam is now the great FNB, but for a lot of this season she was so sad and confused. Jim is just totally a downer now. The thought of those two sad sacks together isn't exactly appealing, so that could lead to a loss of interest in JAM.

HOWEVER, the important thing to remember is that Pam was sad because of her conflicted feelings about Jim. She is now happy because she knows she wants Jim and only Jim, and she is starting to take steps to get him.

Jim was at his best when he was in love and in friendship with Pam. The more he tries to deny his love for her, and the more he tries to distance himself from her, the farther he gets from his happy, S2 self. This means that the only way Jim will ever be happy is if he finds his way back to Pam. Jim + Pam = happiness! So there is no reason for JAM indifference, because we know that if they can just get together, they will both be happy!!!!

Okay, that was my best attempt at JAM cheerleading. Just 90 mins till showtime!! Rah rah rah!! Gooooooooo JAM!!!
