Reading this thread always brings a smile to my face. It makes me really sad that everyone in the world is not obsessed with the Office....I have to go out to dinner tonight while the show is on, which would be great if I could ask the waitress to beer me a hamburger, or if we could talk about the fate of JAM, but no! I'm gonna have to talk about stupid real life, and ask for things like a normal person!!!

I know what you guys mean about a fleeting JAM indifference. I think it is partly a defense mechanism, a way of preparing ourselves in case it doesn't happen (which, come on you guys, don't lose hope; even if it doesn't happen this season, it could still happen eventually). BUT I also think it is because Pam and Jim - mostly Jim - have both changed so much from last season that it is hard to imagine things going back to the idyllic JAM of season 2. Pam is now the great FNB, but for a lot of this season she was so sad and confused. Jim is just totally a downer now. The thought of those two sad sacks together isn't exactly appealing, so that could lead to a loss of interest in JAM.

HOWEVER, the important thing to remember is that Pam was sad because of her conflicted feelings about Jim. She is now happy because she knows she wants Jim and only Jim, and she is starting to take steps to get him.

Jim was at his best when he was in love and in friendship with Pam. The more he tries to deny his love for her, and the more he tries to distance himself from her, the farther he gets from his happy, S2 self. This means that the only way Jim will ever be happy is if he finds his way back to Pam. Jim + Pam = happiness! So there is no reason for JAM indifference, because we know that if they can just get together, they will both be happy!!!!

Okay, that was my best attempt at JAM cheerleading. Just 90 mins till showtime!! Rah rah rah!! Gooooooooo JAM!!!

PAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't stop gushing about this episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm on such a JAM high right now I don't even care that I lost the bet (I'll care tomorrow though, I'm sure). I'm actually glad this episode had so much Karen in it, because (just a hunch) we won't be seeing her much longer! Squeee!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG, I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but did you guys notice that Jim picked up the prank where Pam left off?????? I freaked out when he sent Dwight to look for himself in the mirror. They're still on the same wavelength!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They sooo belong together. *sigh* All my Jam despair is over. Those two are headed for one big collision!!!!!!

And I got to show her the picture that I took on my phone of beets at the grocery store, just so that every time i open my phone i can say "those are the money beets."

OMG, Pam really was FNBing it up. Take that, Karen!! (I actually feel a little bad for Karen, but come on, she really is clinging to Jim like a desperate pathetic loser. any sane woman would have been out by The Return, if not at Traveling Salesmen). I cannot wait for the PD thread this week. I was convinced that Jim was going to remain an impenetrable fortress, but Pam's Dwight drawing totally broke his defenses!!!!

Did anyone else get chills when Jim touched the flyer? To me, in a very weird way, it was almost like he was touching Pam. Does that sound completely psycho.

Ok, there was a script page going around with some cryptic dialogue but the page had a big X on it, so it was never clear whether or not it would be in the final cut. I dont even think it will be in the deleted scenes. The props call for Karen's stuff t return and then the dialogue goes something like this:
Jim: Shoot. Wonder what happened.
Karen: Well, its the thought that counts and all.
(Pam leaves with cheeks burning. JIm shoots Pam a glance)

I know, it makes no sense. There was a lot of speculation about it. I will try to find the page where it is posted and the spec on it and link it.

That is exaclty how I felt...like he just reached out and kissed her again...just by touching the flyer. I got goosebumps...can you imagine how we'll feel when they actuall kiss again!! OK so with all the excitement about Jim looking at Pam's Dwight flyer -- check this little tidbit out --

He was getting yogurt from the fridge! Not applesauce or jello -- could it be that James has found a reason for an affinity for mixed berries?!?!

Is anyone else here having trouble getting onto mtt.just-once.net today? That site is a regular part of my JAM therapy...and even though we are all celebrating after last night's episode, I wanted a little fan fic fix...and the website won't work! *sniffle sniffle* just wondering if it is not working at all, or if it is just my computer. (sidenote: I have one friend who is also obsessed with the Office, but I haven't even told HER about my increasingly frequent visits to these boards, OR my love of fan fiction...I'm just not ready to admit that I have a problem yet!!!)

Hmm that possible elevator dialogue was probably superfluous, but it would have given us even more reason to celebrate. OF COURSE Jim bombs out and buys Karen a crappy mall gift. I was worried that I was slipping because in the promo-pic I didn't think the color was that bad, kind of minty. Thank god on TV it was a (whorish) lime green (and it was way more saturated on tv then in that screenshot).

Well this is my first post on this board. I am a newbie to the show. My boys finally got me to watch it a couple of weeks ago and I proudly say I have watched all of them many times! I love Jim and Pam sooo much. I was thrilled to find this place to come and gush about them. I have been reading for a while and finally decided to join. Season two for me was so magical. It has been a long time on t.v. where two people have captured me the way they have. Season three has been hard to watch but with all of your encouraging thoughts I have hope Jam will happen again. I just hope the writers can see that chemistry like that doesn't come along that often.
