My husband watches later so he doesn't have to deal with commercials and to see such a guy melt while he watched it just proved how amazing this show is. I felt so proud and man I am PUMPED for next week!!!

That's so cute. Did he said anything about it or did you just see him melt?
verygood
Oh my gosh, it was the cutest thing... he was holding his breath while she was talking and then he started smiling like really big and with teeth. When she was done he just looked at me and smiled and nodded. As dorky as it is, I can see a lot of the two of us in the two of them so it almost gets personal watching it. I remember after the parking lot scene in The Merger, we could barely even look at eachother. I mean, everyone's been there and seeing it is horrible. While he's not nearly as obsessed as I am, I know he is pretty invested. He was really excited.

you know how people have given up spoilers?

I have given up on anything JAM related. Even though they are my 3rd favorite couple, I still like them together but seriously have given up hope.

Oh no!!! Will you come back if they come back??? Never, ever give up!!! This is the JAM therapy thread...I think an intervention is in order!

See, I still have LOTS of hope that they will end up together at some point, but I'm just not sure it going to be this season (seeing that we only have one more episode left), but I DO believe that it will happen next season.

Which is find with me. I would love for them to slowly find their way back to each other and be able to see it all, than to miss it because it all happened over the summer break.

As much as I have said that I like them apart, and I do...........BUT i think deep down I want them on friendlier/romancing terms. I do not expect JAM to come full force by next week for sure but I would like a simple step in that direction that will keep me with semi high hopes for them.

p.s. i'm not a big romantic in anyways, this could be my problem. But I love the romanctic qualities of Dwight/Angela and freaky romance of Jan/Michael.

I do expect some kind of something to happen between Jim and Pam to give us hope. I really hope TPTB realize (and they are really smart so I'm sure they do) that we need SOMETHING to hold us over the summer. I don't think Jam is the only draw or even the main one, but it is a really, really, really BIG one for many viewers (including me). So, it would just be flat out STUPID of them to drop the Jam ball, and they are no dummies. So, I have hope.

Thanks Beeswax! biggrin.gif I really wanted to suggest this earlier but didn't figure it was my place to do so. But you're the thread creator, so you go girl!

And my bet for the finale is the same as I've stated before. Jim moves back to his old desk. We know Ryan took that desk in the first place so that Jim would be forced to take the Desk of Estrangement for this season. Symbolism: facing Karen, back to Pam. Now there HAS to be a reason why Michael banished Ryan to the Annex. And that the desk is STILL empty, even since Andy has returned. I thought HE might want to confiscate the desk to be nearer to Michael's office. Or even Karen, to be nearer to Jim. But, no, the desk is still empty. For one reason and one reason only. Jim will reclaim the Desk of Love during the finale. Symbolic of his answer to Pam's speech: she misses him and the fun they used to have...i.e. S2. As they rebuild their friendship next season, "more than that" will gradually become a reality. I hope, I hope, I hope.... smile.gif

I love this idea & "Desk of Love", but I still think we'll get more than this. I really do. I don't know why, but I have a feeling. Michael's words from Booze Cruise WILL come back to Jim: "Don't ever, ever, EVER give up."

QUOTE (Pam Halpert @ May 12 2007, 12:05 PM) *
I woke up in a bad JAM mood today. The hope and excitement has warn off and now I only have fear and dispair... ( and no this was not brought on by any spoilers) Guys help, This is just not good!

Mrs. Halpert, come on! Stay strong! Remember ^^ Michael's advice! Pam is Jim's cheeseburger! It will happen! wub.gif

QUOTE (sedimentary @ May 12 2007, 12:10 PM) *
There is no room for JAM bad moods. Just look at the way Jim stared straight at Pam the entire time she was talking. He simply is not over her. Hypothetically speaking...I think we're gonna figure out the end to that statement. He now KNOWS why Pam called off the wedding...he now KNOWS she wants more...he is no fool! And he just looked at her too long and with so much pain, hope and love...I just can't feel anything but good things are ahead. Now, they may not declare their undying love for eachother, but I do think it's on and they will clear some much needed air. I just feel it...

Anyone think of the scenario that no one gets the job in NY???? All three will still be in Scranton this season...

Amen sedimentary! I actually had this thought today, but I don't see Karen in Scranton much longer. She doesn't like anything about it - the town, Michael, co-workers, etc. The only thing she does like is Jim & I think she's telling herself she likes him more than she REALLY does (esp. once she figures out she doesn't like the "real" Jim).

QUOTE (Pam Halpert @ May 12 2007, 12:51 PM) *
Late season CR ended bad and then CN ended good. SO if BG ended good will the last episode end bad??

Nope, don't believe it. TPTB are not that cruel. As hubby keeps telling me, "it's a TV show!" Translation: They're not going to alienate devoted flans by spending 3 seasons building up to JAM, then bringing us THIS close & yanking it all away. WON'T HAPPEN. (I'm not saying they're going to be a full-on couple by the end of S3. I'm saying we'll at least be pointing that direction.)

QUOTE (mybestfriend @ May 12 2007, 01:35 PM) *
This is what has me going too, PH. We just don't know what Jim's reaction will be. In light of all that is new and fancy about Pam, I think I've lost sight of how much poor Jim has been through. And I worry about how he's going to react. He could be outraged which will break my heart. Or he could not react at all, which will mean that it is all brewing deep inside. If Karen had any self respect, she'd tell him to go figure it all out. I don't mean to be hard on her but puleeze, she has heard from Jim's own lips that he still has feelings for Pam... Oh well, that's been talked to death.

Paraphrasing Vinny: "There is no way Jim will ignore Pam's speech." He may try to tell himself he doesn't want to go down that road again, but then he will realize that he could have everything he always wanted w/ Pam & decide to go for it. He'll still be afraid, but he'll realize it's worth the risk.

QUOTE (Beeswax Not Yours Inc. @ May 12 2007, 02:19 PM) *
As we all know, a true JAM flan teeters on the edge of giddiness and despair.

The only thing that makes me nervous is that sometimes, in real life, people like Jim and Pam never get together. I think a lot of people have their "one that got away" and it becomes something they look back on with regret. I'm worried that the writers may follow this "authentic" path for these characters.

Re: 1st statement, TRUE DAT. 2nd statement: No way. This is TV.

Yes, that is one of my most favorite endings too!! It's like Jim looks at Michael, thinking, "women!" and Michael says, "yeah, whatcha gonna do?" I LOVE that ending.

I love that too. Michael's & Jim's love lives have always paralleled each other - there is a lot more to that...I feel a summer project coming on.

My hubby has been out of town and is flying in tonight. We have a date to watch the office tonight after the girls and I get him from the airport. He wouldn't let me tell him what happened...so he'll be watching it all "spoiler free". It will be interesting to see his reaction to Pam's speech. I know he probably doesn't give two hoots about JAM, but I want to see what his reaction is. And since I've watched it about a million times, I can sneak peaks at him without missing anything on the TV. Let's see if he's a keeper! ha ha. He is anyways!

True. Even if he doesn't get angry, he still needs to get all of that crap that's been building since CN (& before) out of him. It's been festering & burdening him all year. He can get it out w/o hurting Pam again & it will allow her to show him how she can be trusted w/ his heart now. Is it really a contest of who he wants??? Seriously, how much soul searching will he really have to do.

I guess I didn't explain myself very well. There is no contest between Karen and Pam in and of themselves. Pam wins in jim's heart hands down. There are other factors involved. Jim has been hurt real bad and taking a chance on Pam means risking it all again. Karen is safe and comfortable and Jim has control of his emotions around her. We all have been routing for Pam to develop courage all season, but Jim needs it to. He is scared as heck.

If the writers decide to give Jim the job in New York karen will probably go with him. This means that Karen= great job, new city, fresh start. Pam= dealing with crazy emotions, taking a risk, same city same job. In the end it is not a contest between Pam and Karen. It is a contest between two Jims (S1/S2).

Jim knows in his heart that Pam is THE ONE. The question is is he willing to trust his heart. Remember what happened last time he did that.

I am 100% confident that he will choose Pam, but all these factors will make his moral dilema much more believable.

I love the idea of the return to the DOL, but I think we are getting more than that. Us die-hard Jammers will see the symbolism in that, but your average Office viewer has no idea what the DOL is or what it stands for. They need it spelled out in front of them. The writers have last year's finale to beat. They are not gonna drop the ball. Next week at this time we still wont be able to get our jaws off the floor.

By the way LoveAnyway, the Dundies kiss in reverse is the most amazing thing that I have ever seen! A kiss then a hug and then smiling and gazing... no "I can'ts" or "I think we're drunks". I wonder what kind of hidden Jam messages we will find if we watch entire episodes in reverse? Summer project anyone?

Oh BRAVO Sedimentary. Beach of Bravery is the place where Pam laid it all on the line and walked across hot coals for Jim.
And, incidentally, glad I didn't have to break your fall last night. It was definitely a good night.
Do you want your prize?

It was definately a good night!!!

Prize goes to marked arm!!

This is therapy, so someone give me theraputical advice. sad.gif

I really want Jim and Pam to get together by the end of the season. Is it so much to ask for a simple kiss and for Jim to break up with Karen? I'm starting to think it's not happening. AHHH. Kind of upset right now.

Is it Thursday yet? unsure.gif

*Just checking... Can everyone see my new Jam-ilicious sig?

A couple of people have said on this thread that they just have this feeling that it's going to happen. I think I do, too.

Of course we don't know what's really going to happen. Once again, I want to go in my delorean and ride into May 17th and find out so I can come back here, hold you all and tell you everything is going to be all right.

Ricky Gervais referred to Dawn and Tim as the "heart" of the office. I think Greg Daniels also feels that way about Jim and Pam. Also, John and Jenna have such great chemistry, it is not wise to throw that away.

Maybe if we all have that groovy "feeling" that JAM will happen on Thursday and put it out into the universe, we will be rewarded.

Ooooo, I just had an epiphery.

Michael made wishes for the women of Dunder Mifflin and it seems like some of those wishes are coming true:

Pam- courage (walked through hot coals) check
Angela- a heart (that look she gave to Jim) check
Kelly-brains hmmmm...could she be next? Could she help Jim and Pam get together?

Marked Arm, sorry to steal your thunder... wink.gif I swear I did not even see your post...and when I just went back to look, there it was. I don't even remember seeing it the first time around, and I did go back and look through to see what everyone had guessed.... Could it have magically appeared??? Weird. Anyhow, it shows up now and to the victor goes the spoils! Congrats...

Dinkinflicker, did you see the post the first time around???

I was totally kidding. I didn't see yours right away either. Maybe we were posting at the same time.
Anyway, you know what they say, "great minds...." wink.gif

^ that's a really impressive post officerules! A full day of posts replied to in one neat post. LOL.

I really love your signature. I don't think anyone can say that Jim doesn't care about Pam after watching his reactions to her speech. He looked in as much pain as she did.

Thanks!! When I'm gone all day, it's fun to catch up & multi-post! Everybody loves getting props!

I love my sig too (thanks DS!) - I agree w/ you 100%. There is no way he will disregard Pam's speech after that reaction. (It's funny though - at first I didn't think much of KF's face, but after watching 15x, I think she looks kinda pi$$ed.)

QUOTE (Lemoņadé @ May 12 2007, 07:06 PM) *

Thanks for clarifying. I agree it will be a struggle for those reasons & Jim will have to realize A LOT (his wall, his self-preservation, his farce of a relationship w/ KF, he still loves Pam/he's just been hiding it, etc) in order to gain the clarity he needs to go for it w/ Pam. I think we'll see him struggling a lot on Thursday, but I think we'll also see his lightbulb go off.

THANK YOU!!! This is exactly what I've been trying to say. TPTB will do what's right & they know they've been playing w/ fire all season by keeping JAM so far apart. Think back to that promo from last summer (the "secret we were all in on" one) that said anything is possible - how have they delivered on that this season??? Seriously. I BELIEVE. wub.gif

After driving today that exact thought hit me!! The writers know they are making us craxy and walking on thin ice! They know we want something, and I really think they will deliver!! They would be stupid not to!!! They have teased us all season long, and now this is the time they get to give us what we have been asking for ALL SEASON LONG!!!!

I will not get out of your head! I'm having too much fun in there.

I'm also thinking about the bet. I want to rework Team Voldemort, like Queen suggested. Any thoughts?

Yeah I agree with the rewrite. I am thinking maybe a Karen Pam confrontation? Or a "fight" between Jim and Pam. Or that Jim talks to Pam first.

I am having fun in your head as well!! It makes my JAM happyness go up a few levels!!

Yes! Then, when Karen tries to attack Pam for attempting to steal her boyfriend, Dwight can hit her in the face with pepper spray! tongue.gif

Okay guys, I need a positive JAM spin put on a convo over on Jim Paradox. They're talking about how interesting it is that Jim is going up against Michael for that corporate job & that Jim & Karen are obviously planning to move to NYC together. Both of these things seem SOOOO out of Jim's character to me.

Here is my theory, but I want to hear YOUR thoughts too. I think Wallace called JIM & asked him if he wants to be considered. He liked Wallace when they met @ his party, so he thought why not. Then Wallace asked Karen. If the first call was the one we witnessed during BG, they probably haven't even discussed it yet. I honestly do NOT think he & Karen have made a ton of plans about moving to NYC & starting a life together. Besides, all of this happened BEFORE Pam's speech.

THOUGHTS??? unsure.gif blink.gif huh.gif

Okay, I go out this afternoon to experience and enjoy my REAL LIFE and return tonight to find all this juicy stuff going on in JAM Therapy. I don't even know where to begin in terms of responding to all your wonderful and insightful posts....so I'm not going to. But one thing I will add is that I am almost 99% sure that there will be good JAM in the season finale. And that means a Kiss. Many of you have raised good arguments for this and I agree. TPTB will not let us down. They know we need something to 'kvell' over all summer.
