Ooooo, I just had an epiphery.
Michael made wishes for the women of Dunder Mifflin and it seems like some of those wishes are coming true:
Pam- courage (walked through hot coals) check
Angela- a heart (that look she gave to Jim) check
Kelly-brains hmmmm...could she be next? Could she help Jim and Pam get together?
Yes, maybe next week Phyllis will ge her plasma TV?

what i think is going to happen is that Karen is going to get the job at corporate (remember, she had a long segment where jim was and where he was teasing her...) and jim will stay with pam in scranton.... that'll make for much tension (exactly what those **** writers are looking for!).
My speculation is that Jim will be offered the job. After all, he is in a higher position and is more qualified than Karen. He wont except it though. I think that once that time bomb goes off in his head he will decide to stay in Scranton and recomend Karen for the position. He wants her to be happy, and he knows she wants to be in New York. They will split, and Jim will head back to Scranton to find his Pam.
It will be too funny when Michael realizes he lost the new job to Karen (loosing to a woman). I picture him having the party planning comitee throw him a huge going away party before he even interviews. Then he has to come back to the office and face everyone.

THURSDAY!!!!! [I thought about having a finale party, but I decided I couldn't handle the distractions. So only hubby & pups are invited.
]I know how you feel. A friend and I are planning a small get together on finale night and we have invited some flans we are trying to convert. I am very worried now, however, that this wasn't such a good idea. I am going to have to set some ground rules.
1.) There is no talking during the Office.
2.) There is no talking during the Office.
3.) Turn all cell phones off.
4.) Keep coughing, sneezing and loud breathing to a minimum.
5.) No crunchy snacks.
6.) If you are new to the Office please refrain from asking questions until the commercials. (A viewing of Beach Games prior to the finale is advised).
7.) You are not allowed to feel sorry for Karen after her and Jim break-up. No friend of mine is allowed on team Jaren.
8.) No one is allowed to scream and cry happy tears when Jim and Pam make-out on the DOL except Lemonade. She might miss an important Jam sigh or something.
9.) Everyone must comfort Lemonade with happy thought when she inevitably crashes and burns after realizing she is going to have to wait another 3 months for a new office episode.
The party is not at my house, so I am going to sound like a total nazi, but this is important! Besides, it will be good for me to have support. I watched BG by myself, and I was freaking out all alone. Bring on the Jam!

I posted this on the Karen Conundrum this morning and thought it was applicable to JAM Therapy as well:
I would think TPTB would want Karen to leave on a good note, not having been dumped by Jim for Pam. So, my votes still stands that Karen will see the writing on the wall. She will realize that Pam has always had Jim's heart and she will walk away. She will give Jim her blessing to be with Pam and they will part on good terms.
Did anyone see the movie
The Notebook? Remember the character of Martha Shaw? She was the war widow that Noah was "with". She said to him one day something to the effect "
A woman knows when a man looks into her eyes and sees someone else." Also, When she finally met Allie and spent some time with the two of them together, she told Noah "She's sensational". She was truly happy for them to be together. She realized that Allie was the love of Noah's life and she would never hold that place no matter what. It also gave her hope that someday she would find the love of her life (again--b/c her husband was killed in the war.)
I see a lot of parallels between Jim/Noah, Pam/Allie and Karen/Martha.
Anyone agree? Disagree?
BTW,
The Notebook is one of my Desert Island Movies!!

I often watch The Notebook when I'm feeling down about Jam. It reminds me that destiny does not take no for an answer. Things that are meant to be are gonna happen sooner or later.

Agreed. My speculation theory is the long distance thing and them break up by Thanksgiving, therefore paving the way for Jim to profess his love in December, 'because Christmas is the time when you tell people how you really feel'. (paraphrasing here)
Neither one of them has been in single status at the same time so this is my vote. Also, we've already had the season opener/closer thing. Its time for a big moment to be at Christmas or Valentines, although I dont think they'll make us wait until February.
I thought about the Long distance relationship senario before, but I really think its all or nothing for Jam right now. Its the 11th hour for these two. Both Jim and Pam had their respective seasons to come to terms with their feelings. They love each other and they are both aware of this now. Season three has paved the way for these two to get together. Almost all of issues standing in the way of Jam have been resolved. Its just time for it to happen. Dragging it out any longer would be forced and unrealistic. If Jim chose to be with Pam only after he broke up with karen then she would be his second choice. Pam is not a back-up Plan, Pam is THE ONE. It would suck the magic out of Jam and The writers need Jam magic.
