Just thought I'd drop in for my quick JAM fix on the most positive thread in Officedom! Wanna hear about my latest craziness?

All fans of Squirrel McPants understand the significance to JAM of the periwinkle and asparagus crayons. After I read those chapters, I, yes, went and bought the box of crayons. I have been keeping those two crayons safe in my jewelry box, but today I realized that Jim and Pam may need some luck. So I put an elastic band around the crayons and have been carrying them everywhere with me. I even keep them in the shirt pocket of my scrub top when I'm at work in the OR. Ha! Superstitious? Maybe, maybe.

I fully intend to have them in my hand from 8-9pm on Thursday night. Hopefully I won't break them in all the excitement.

And PH...careful with the promos...although as O-H said, I bet TPTB aren't going to give us much, if anything related to JAM. I'm taping the Today Show tomorrow, but I'm a little nervous that I might be spoiled, so if anyone watches it can you let us know if we'll be spoiled at all because I'll save it for after Thursday. Same thing with Jenna on Conan tomorrow night. Thanks!

I know we all have that little flutter in the bottom of our stomachs and that little ache in a small corner of our hearts for Jim and Pam. There has been so much heartache and so much left unsaid between these two. But I will not let anyone give up until 9pm on Thursday! We don't know what's in store for us and we need to let the JAM force guide us through until Thursday.

I've started watching S3 from the beginning. I think everyone needs to re-watch Gay Witch Hunt. I think there are some connections that can be made to the season finale.

We are not in the playground anymore. There are new rules. We have to be mature. But we can't lose the spirit of child like wonder. What is love... anyway? Maybe it's supposed to break all the rules. Like me and Jan. Or Oscar... and some guy. Life is short. When two people find each other, what should stand in their way?

Take this statement to heart. As idiotic as Michael is, he surprises us with wisdom. We cannot lose the childlike wonder of S2 JAM. So....

I've said it before & I'll say it again - this show makes my heart HURT. That statement above will break my heart UNLESS JAM shows us HOPE this Thursday. I have never wanted something for a fictional TV show as much as I want JAM together.

PH & OO asked me to share my thoughts for the finale. Purely based on speculation, spoiler-free since Cocktails! My thoughts are honestly kind of based on others thoughts & my gut feeling. I think Jim has been nicer to Pam since her speech but is still avoiding her. He's been thinking A LOT. Somehow he's stalling KF while he thinks, but I doubt he's opened up to her. Before he goes to NY to interview, somehow there is going to either be a kiss or strong embrace, initiated by Pam this time. As someone suggested, I would love for her to give him a very personal & touching gift before he leaves. Something that proves that she loves him, still knows him & wants what's best for him, even if it means leaving her again. (OMG, tearing up... ) He goes to NY, sees what his life could be like. Michael says something very profound, as he is known to do from time to time - see above or the "Never give up" speech. Jim realizes what he has been doing since last May - constantly running; hiding behind "his career", his new GF, his new attitude; hiding from someone who loves the real him & who really, truly makes him happy. He starts putting all of the pieces together from May until BG (realizes what Pam has been doing) & hightails it to Scranton. I like the scenario that he calmly walks in, throws his jacket over the back of his OLD chair & walks over to reception. GEEZ, that is way over the top & way too dramatic for "a comedy," but it will keep me going until Thursday.

This is our mantra, our battle cry:

This show goes beyond comedy and beyond drama. I think that is a perfect scenario. Look at how dramatic CN was. Making out against Jim's desk under dim lamp light? Beautiful and dramatic. Let's just hope they have another amazing moment like that up their sleeves.

Oh, and I suggested the Pam gift, because it fits in with my Office UK ending.

Ooh I think this sounds very promising...I could see both Jim and Michael thinking about what life in NY could be like, but then, in classic Office fashion, Michael will start talking about how Scranton is where his heart truly lies, and he will unknowingly say something very meaningful that will make Jim realize that it's where his heart lies as well. Then Karen can just have the job by default. YES!

You know what I thought. last week all of us were close, we got the gist of what will happen but yet the writers add that part that makes it perfection!! So I am thinking we are on the right track!!

CN was dramatic as well, but the overall comedy of the episode made it just feel right! so you know I think you guys are on to something! it seems we are all on the same page!!

I agree with Queen of England that Team Voldemort is too general. I have ran this past Beeswax and got the thumbs up, so here is my idea.

First bet will predict the ending.

1- Cliffhanger?

2- Subtle yet positive JAM interaction

3- JAM kiss


Second Bet is who or what will be the catalyst for Jim's awakening to Pam's speech and the truth.

Team Voldemort: These are people who think Karen will either make a huge mistake with Jim, or get sick of his indecision and call him out to be fair to both her and Pam.

Team Sandals: This group is betting on Jim's experience in New York, but mostly Michael to create a chain of events that leads Jim back to Pam.

Team Griffindor: This group is betting on a Dwangela revelation in the finale. This means that someone other than Jim and Pam find out about our secret office lovebirds.

Team USA: The bet here is about Andy/Drew losing and having another "incident" of anger. I am really impressed at how long Andy has kept it together so far, but he must be bottling a lot inside.

Team Blue: Phyllis was on this team and this bet would involve the belief that Phyllis will play a part in getting JAM together. It could be a well-placed comment or an outright action to get these two together.

I'm going to add one more team to this bet, and that's

Team Awesome: This group is gambling big. It is the bet that all of the above things will happen in the season finale: happy JAM kiss, Dwangela revelation, Andy meltdown, Phyllis as a JAM guardian angel, insulting words from Kevin, Karen interaction, and Toby. Lets say at least four of the seven must occur.

And thank you for posting it. I would be happy with your ending! Since you were so nice to post yours, I'll post mine. It's a compromise of what I hope to happen and what I think could be a realistic ending. I am spoiler free all week and I am making this prediction based on my own feelings and also what others have speculated:

I think that when Jim responds to Pam's speech, they will have a very emotional conversation. She will tell him she is sorry for hurting him, she loves him, always has and that he didn't misinterpret their friendship (or something along those lines.) He will break down and say something to the effect that he wishes she would have told him a long time ago b/c now he's with Karen, going to NY, blah, blah, blah. He will be morally torn, but he will admit he still has feelings for her and they will kiss/embrace in the heat of the moment. (BTW, I like the idea of Pam initiating the kiss this time, FNOR!!!) Then Jim will take a step back and realize he can't just abandon Karen and NY and he'll tell Pam he needs time to think... Then he'll go to NY with Karen and throughout the interview process, he'll realize what he has to do...someone (I can't remember who, but please name yourself if it was you!) said something about Michael, with his ego, assuming he got the job and he'll be giving himself a going away party...Jim will walk in during it and he'll look at Pam and vise versa...roll credits. End of Season 3.

As much as I want Jim and Pam together for realsies at the end of S3, I do agree with people who want to see their "honeymoon" phase at the beginning of S4. So I would be okay with them just looking at each other (as long as we can still have a Kiss at some point during the epi!)

I'm pretty sure the first bet was 1 day & last week's was 3 days. Since this is the finale & the stakes are at an all-time high, I don't think a week is out of the question. Thoughts?

I totally think none of them will get it. I got all of my in-laws hooked this season & they were over Sun for MD & they are all sooooo confident that KF will get it b/c it's so obvious. That's why I DON'T think she'll get it.
