I soooo enjoyed watching these eps. tpgether. There is always fun to be had when Michael leaves the office. It also allows Jim and Pam to let loose.

Sitting here, I was thinking of a cool senario for the season finale ( I am spoiler free.. just FYI)
I think Karen is going to get a job offer to corporate, she and Jim are going to have a talk where she asks Jim to come with her. Jim says he does not want to because he likes Scranton and he does not want to work for corporate. Karen then says well I am not doing a long term relationship so if you say no then it is over. Jim says no.
cut to... Pam goes to Jim, with out knowing what happened, and tell him that she needs to get this all out in the open before he leaves agian. She tells him everything while Jim just stands there.... after Pam is done Jim cracks a tiny smile and says " Pam, I am not leaving"
than that is our small but JAM filled cliff hanger!
I could live with that.. not knowing if they are together or not.. but at least she has told him how she feels and he is not going!! Plus there is humor to it as well!!

Nice job, Pam Halpert! Here is your gold star

I also like the season finale extra credit assignment you turned in. That would be a great scenario. I think Karen would do soooo well at corporate...without Jim...all the way in New York City. Let's cross our fingers.
Oh, and yes, we should start toning down the JAM next week just so we don't get too disappointed. As much as we'd like each ep to play out like fanfic, alas, it will not happen. But, any little interaction between Jim and Pam will of course be soaked up by us and analysed to death!!! That is the true joy of JAM. A little dab will do ya!

Apr 17 2007, 09:14 AM
Extra credit???? How come I didn't know about the extra credit?

OK, here's my take on the season finale. I, too, am spoiler free.:
For weeks I have been saying that Pam will tell Jim how she feels prior to the finale and on the finale he will confirm that he feels the same way, too. And the cliffhanger will be with Jan/Michael or Dwangela.
I don't really see this coming to fruition, because we only have three episodes left before the finale, but it's the only scenario that I can come up with. I am just holding strong with the idea that they will
not do a reverse CN on the finale. Too cliched!

All this talk about the season finale is making me very, very impatient. I have to say that PH, your synopsis is realistic. and pMS, your's would drive me absolutely insane all summer long!
I have been trying to come up with different ways they could end the season and I really don't have an answer. I just hope, hope, HOPE they don't leave us with a major JAM cliffhanger. I don't want to see all the emotional stuff packed into the last episode. I know it's going to be an hour (surely overstuffed with lots of commercials), but I don't want the whole JAREN/JAM "decision" all at the end.
I would like to see Karen exit gracefully, maybe NEXT WEEK and then give Jim and Pam a chance to come together in a romantic way, not a frenetic "race to the airport to catch her plane" kind of thing.
Also, it would be great if the finale was more of an ensemble show with all the other characters' stories continuing to develop as well.
My thoughts are all over the place on this, so sorry for the ramble. Overall, I hope that Pam can get Jim alone soon so she can make her confession and give him time to take it all in, then get them together in the 2nd to last episode, so we can enjoy a JAMtastic season finale. We deserve it!

Here's my take on the finale. I haven't read any spoilers, even though I do, so there's nothing to worry about.
The big shocker, is going to be a jan/michael one. I've had this Jan is pregnant senario in mind for a while. So i'm sticking with that.
In the coming episodes Jim and Pam find out that they both know about Dwangela.
For the finale, as far as JAM goes I believe it isn't going to be much, maybe a "you're right, you've always been right" from Pam as she walks away. Is that too soap opera-ish, too cliffhangy???
Whether Karen is still going to be there, I' m not sure. If she is there I think she'll be on her way out. The writers are going to save her character's dignity and have her doing the breaking up with Jim. Jim is sad, until he hears Pam say whatever it is she's going to say.
The little Jam cliffhanger is going to be overshadowed by Jan and Michael's (well not for US Jam obsessors but for everyone else)
So my thoughts are all over the place....but ya!

i love these specs for the finale. I, too, think it will be Michael/Jan centric, but there will be some JAREN/JAM interaction. Here is the scenario I like:
Over the next couple of eps, Pam starts to get the feeling that Jim might still be interested, although on the outside, his relationship with Karen seems fine. So, per some encouragement in the next to last episode, Pam decides to tell Jim how she feels near the end of the finale. Meanwhile, in the kitchen or break room or something, Karen is telling Jim that she is going to leave, transfer or break up, but we do not hear the conversation. He hugs her, maybe after they have fought a little bit, and Pam only sees Jim's back and Karen's smile. She gets the wrong idea about their exchange and starts to lose her nerve as Jim walks out and sees her standing there. They look at one another but neither has the courage to speak.

OK, so I have been having a rough couple of days and these mini vids you all have on your signatures sure made me smile. And it's so cool to watch and re-watch the Jim and Pam hug from the Merger...because in real time it was just over way too fast. So now it seems like it can last forever! But the funny part of the whole thing is this morning as my alarm was going off and I was hitting snooze for the millionth time, the video of Jim giving his little clinched fist moment from Safety Training (when he won for the most romantic comedies) kept running through my mind. Every time I hit snooze, Jim would do his hand thing! I really did not want to get up for sure this morning.

After watching the Jim hugging Pam minivid for the 100th time, I have this silly observation. While she is running towards him it almost looks like they're going to kiss. because she's looking right at him, but no it's just a hug. I keep watching it over and over to see if it'll change *sigh*

I LOVE the hug from The Merger. The smile on his face is so big, and he really is happy to see her, regardless of his wounds from Casino Night. That's the great thing about them.
In moments like that one, "I think we broke his brain", and Jim calling Pam's dancing cute, we see how much they really love each other when they forget to be afraid. God, these two are just too darn cute.

Drug you up and drag you home

Well, since I'm still on my JAM babyspoonful high from last night, I have a homework assignment this group.
To bring out the full sweetness of the JAM we saw last night, your required viewing tonight is as following:
Office Olympics
The Fire
The Client
Safety Training
Okay Beeswax, I know I'm a few days late, but I finally did my homework. I woke up early this morning, popped in my DVDs and got on the treadmill. I watched Office Olympics, The Fire and The Client. (I've already watched Safety Training a bunch of times and obviously don't have it on DVD yet!) Amazing how a whole hour went by and I didn't even realize I was exercising! I had a smile on my face the whole time and laughed out loud a lot. I forgot how much I loved Office Olympics. That is now one of my favorite episodes of all time!
One thing I'll say though, Safety Training is bittersweet compared to the first three b/c of JAM's current status. It was so nice before all the ugliness. You could really see how in love they were (are) in S2. *SIGH* I hope we can bring back that lovin' feelin' soon!
P.S., Glad you had fun at the John Mayer concert. Also, I could watch your signature and mine all day! OMG

Beeswax, I've been watching your minivid for 5 minutes straight. I've been able to break their kiss down into 4 steps:
Step 1: Pam is surprised, she is not hugging him back, but lets him kiss her.
Step 2: Pam puts her arm on his arm, starting to give in, kiss back.
Step 3: Pam throws herself into it, and holds his head with her hands, totally into it.
Step 4: Kiss lingers back and forth, because neither of them can decide whether they should end it or not.
That's all,

I agree PH. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in the documentary feel of the show that i forget to remember that this is a scripted show with writers and a planned story arc. Although the writers do try to keep it as real as possible, they know that they need to tell an entertaining and compelling story. All throught this season they have given us clues that Jim still has feelings for Pam, they have shown us that Jaren is not a great couple, and they have pumped up the FNB. All of these plot devices were thought out and written for one reason... to set us up for some major Jam. We are getting a payoff soon. Karen seems fed up with Jim, Jim is remembering his love for Pam (Bouncy castle anyone?), and FNB is here and going strong. Everything is in place for it now... we just have to sit back and watch. This whole season is basicaly a set up for some more Jam kisses. *goes back and watches Beeswax's sig for 10 minutes*
I feel ashamed to admit that a few weeks ago I was doubting that Jim and Pam would work it out b4 the end of the season. I just couldent see how these two could get out of the hole they dug for themselves in time (esp with the cold war going on). After ST, however, I have no doubt that they will. Weeks and weeks of angst and turmoil could suddenly be resolved with a potato, a megaphone and a bouncy castle. What these to have is much stronger than all that. Its only gonna take an episode or two.
